“Oh my goodness it is fabulous! The staff is friendly and helpful. You walk in and you have a store & then back to the left is where you go to the line to select what you want. Its awesome. I enjoyed the Hot Chicken Dish as well as sweet carrots and potato wedges. My husband enjoyed a hamburger and my son enjoyed an Italian Sub. Everyone was happy. We did not get any dessert, however, but they looked amazing. ❤️If ever I return to this town I would def return.“

“The Depot is possibly the best eating establishment in Springfield. Whether you get a burger (sometimes they have wagyu burger--yum) or something else, it is always enjoyable. Try the sweet potato fries for a nice treat, they are excellent. The chef has some dishes based on his Louisiana experiences that are unique. The main room with bar area is rustic and usually busy atmosphere with wood booths near the bar. There is also a simple dining room as well as a screened in in porch for dining. It's worth going just to see how the owners created a train depot theme in this old building, right by the tracks, though grab a bite while you do.“

“I've been eating here for a while now. The staff is friendly and considerate. The atmosphere is great. And the food is amazing. I've eaten almost everything on the menu and enjoy it all. I didn't know much about Chicago cuisine, but now I'm regularly savoring classics like Italian Beef sandwiches (or sammiches as they call them), Chicago hotdogs, and the occasional cannoli. I highly recommend supporting this restaurant! The owner/chef is very sweet and made sure we had tables in a row and checked in to make sure everything was fine.“

“This is my favorite diner of all time. My fiancé and I were in town visiting family to move back into the area and stumbled on this place. AMAZING fried chicken. The music was top 40 from the 70's-90's and the food was great! It had tables in addition to a bar along the back right side.We had a very enjoyable meal...far more to eat than we could finish! My baked spaghetti was cheesy, perfect texture and flavorful! My husband thoroughly enjoyed their Shepherd's Pie, one of his favorites!We hung around long enough to chat, enjoy dessert with coffee; carrot cake and rasberry cheese cake...definitely tops in my book!We will be going back again soon! “The manager was on it! Loved to actually see management lead from the back! The Black guy with the dreads needs ten stars. Was acknowledged within the first minute. Thats textbook restaurant service right there. Skipping the Hendersonville waffle next time.“

“We have been wanting to stop and try their food but never had the chance until today. I had the catfish, hush puppies, turnip greens & fresh cabbage. Will had the burger & tots, plus what I don’t eat.?. All the food was very good. The cabbage was on the cold side. The crust on the Fried catfish was crispy. Hamburger seasoned good. Our server didn’t check on us. My husband ran out of tea. I ran out of Diet Coke. I have food but no drink. My husband finally saw our server, so I got a drink refill and she apologized. We may come back when we pass this way. Maybe next time we will have better service“

“Overall I think this was a really good experience it is a hole in the wall that I have passed this place several times didn't even really know if it was still open it is really close to another meating and three place but I was surprised I ordered a meeting three with chicken and dressing, white beans, green beans, sweet potatoes the cornbread muffins was fresh and buttery. The service was really good also. I would recommend this place, and I definitely will be back. Sorry I didn't post any pictures I ate the food earlier and I am giving them the review several hours later.“
