“This is such a friendly place. We stopped in to try a beer after an event in Nashville. Unfortunately my husband, unfamiliar with my hybrid, left it in battery mode in the parking lot. When we exited it was dying. Everyone was so helpful from patron to employee. Our primary Good Samaritan works here. He phoned a friend for information, then got the car open and charged our battery. I loved the beer, loved their mural and their story and now I am so grateful for their kindness. We need more people like these. We need to be people like this. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts!“

“We really loved Southern Grist when we first found it. Great craft beers and a great food menu, but as of late, the food menu disappoints. Anyone can do burgers and beers. Bring back the chicken sandwich, bao buns and vinegar potatoes. Your menu made you unique now you’re just like everyone else.“

“Crazy Gnome Brewery was easily one of the highlights of our brewery road trip through Tennessee. The whole place has such a welcoming, laid-back feel, and everyone we met genuinely seemed passionate about what they’re doing.

Billy behind the bar was amazing — friendly, knowledgeable, and made us feel like regulars from the minute we sat down. Grayson was fantastic too and even included us in a light-struck beer experiment. I knew what a light-struck beer tasted like, but I never realized the reaction was tied to the hops or just how incredibly fast it can happen. Such a cool, unexpected learning experience and exactly the kind of thing that makes visiting a small brewery memorable.

I unfortunately forgot the name of the gentleman making the pizzas, but his passion for what he does was obvious, and the dough was absolutely phenomenal. Some seriously great pizza to go along with the beer.

Great beer, great pizza, and, most importantly, incredibly friendly people who clearly care about their craft. Crazy Gnome is exactly what I hope to find when stopping at a small local brewery. We’ll absolutely be back.“

“We came here for drinks based on a local friend’s recommendation and we were not disappointed. Ample indoor and outdoor seating, and friendly staff who cheerfully answered our questions. I enjoyed a great Hefeweizen (German style wheat beer) and the bartender set up my wife with a flight of their three on-tap ciders.

Although the grill had an extensive menu, we had just come from dinner so we didn’t get the chance to partake of their food offerings.

Start the day with a coffee drink and end with one of their creative, tasty stouts (or whatever you're into, cause they have all kinds of drinks, including cider). “A friend and I stopped in on a Saturday recently and thought it was a really good brewery. They had a good selection of food…the Burger was very good. We sampled some beer flights of Jackalope Beer and also the Black Abbey, recently acquired by Jackalope. Beer was really good with lots of choices. They all tasted fresh and in line with the beer style. I wish I lived in Nashville as this would be a regular spot for me.“

“What a beautiful hidden gem! My husband and I have been here a couple of times and our last time we went was so wonderful. It’s a relaxed vibe that is also very well put together so you can come dressed up or in relaxed clothing and you’ll fit right in either way. Every time I travel through Nashville, I make it a point to stop by Tennessee Brew Works-and it never disappoints. The atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming, with super comfy bar stool seating that makes it easy to settle in whether you're grabbing a quick pint or hanging out for a bit.

The staff here are top-notch, and I have to give a special shoutout to Alex, who is an absolute gem of a bartender. Friendly, attentive, and always on point-Alex makes the experience even better.

Our server in particular was genuinely kind — attentive without hovering, easygoing, and clearly used to making travelers feel welcome. I ordered a burger and fries, and both were excellent — not “airport‑good,” but genuinely good. The burger was juicy and well‑seasoned, and the fries were crisp without being greasy. It’s the kind of meal that makes you forget you’re sitting in a terminal.
