“Poor David's is a longtime Dallas venue for live music that has been housed in various locations over the years. Check their website calendar for scheduled musicians. No food service, but you can bring in outside food. Don't expect fancy cocktails here as most patrons favor beer, but I have gotten a serviceable Old Fashioned.“

“I’ve been meaning to try this spot for a minute. Proper pub feel mixed in with some fine craftsmanship. I had the special, NY strip and creamy pappardelle. Wow! I never thought steak and pasta but man was it awesome, really fresh pappardelle too. Reuben I had seen photos of and it met expectation and then some. Lastly, really kind and attentive service. Thank you“

“I want to say the bartenders last night were Joe and MJ......I hope I got that right. I wanted to say thank you for being so upbeat and nice even though I walked in 20 minutes before closing at 2am. I can imagine you guys were ready to close down but the fact that yall are welcoming and nice to people like me that get outta work late at another bar, I truly appreciate it. Yall were awesome and I just wanted to say thank you!!!“

“We got seats inside the restaurant in the midst of the summer heat. Our Waitress Tori was super welcoming and made us feel right at home, even though it was our first time visiting this restaurant. She had awesome recommendations, was prompt with food/drink requests, and when I happened to go back inside to ask for plastic ware for my togo dish, she was surprised to see me back inside because she wanted to make sure that my wife’s purse didn’t get left behind. We had an amazing experience, even though when we left the USA was losing to Belgium in the World Cup.“

“Came here for the first time on a Sunday morning around 11:30 AM. Mimosas - Standard mimosa. No strange aftertaste. Decent strength in alcohol content. Huevos Rancheros - Eggs were cooked perfectly - nice & runny yolk with whites cooked thoroughly. Tostadas were very crispy, but slightly overcooked & a touch burnt. Served with refried black beans spread over the tostadas, a generous, spread of salsa, and cotija cheese. Served with a side of rancheros sauce which tasted like salsa verde. Brunch potatoes - Lightly salted. Cooked nicely - crispy on the outside & soft, fluffy, & tender on the inside. Doesn’t get soggy despite sitting on top of salsa. Would have liked more seasoning, but still good. Brunch Burger - Like biscuits & gravy, but on a burger. Flavor is good - very tasty. Eggs were cooked perfectly. Habanero Margarita - actually uses a pretty good reposado tequila - Mi Compo. Very smooth & slightly spicy. Hot Mexican Chili Arbol Wings to go - Came with a hand sanitizing wipe. Medium crispy on the outside. Good flavor. Overall, we had a very nice experience. We sat at the bar, and our bartender, Kinsley, was very nice, personable, & very knowledgeable of menu despite only being here for a month. They also have a happy hour between 4-7 PM, so I’d like to try out their happy hour. I’d recommend & I’d come back.“

“Simple sports bar with good food and the price is unmatched for Downtown Dallas average cost. A hidden gem. Staff are entertaining & not uptight. Only issue would be the occasional homeless person walking in with an attitude or moody behaviors.“

“We just had the most wonderful experience at Hillside Tavern. The food was phenomenal and the atmosphere was chill enough that we were able to bring our 11-year-old niece to eat with us. The service was top notch. Chad and his team are doing an incredible job and we’ll be back very soon to try out the rest of that awesome menu!“

“I heard that Old Monk has great fish and chips. I had to see for myself. I must say seeing is believing. The fish and chips exceeded my expectations. These fish and chips are arguably the best in the city. The service was great and the atmosphere there was fantastic. I enjoyed myself at Old Monk. I would recommend Old Monk for anyone looking to have fun in a chill environment.“

“We came here to watch the England game and ended up finding a place we’ll definitely return to. As someone who lived in England for over two decades, this place brought back a bit of that feeling of home. The atmosphere was great for the match lively, welcoming, and relaxed. The shepherd’s pie was excellent, the drinks were spot on, and everything exceeded expectations for a first visit. Our server was genuinely lovely and made the experience even better. Unfortunately, I forgot to ask her name, but her hospitality certainly didn’t go unnoticed. Looking forward to coming back.“

“Celebrating Life with the family. We danced until our feet hurt. We have over 6 April Birthdays in the family. The waitress was attentive, the restrooms were clean the entire night, regardless of the high traffic. The music was good but it's been better. Not sure why the DJ wasn't the same. However.... If it ain't broke don't fix it and if it don't fit, don't force it.“
“I came here thinking it was a bar, it was attached to the Alamo draft house but it was still cool to visit! I didn’t get the bartenders name but he was so chill and nice to talk to. Will definitely be coming back maybe to see a movie and have a drink as well!“

“Trappist beers, good service, prime spot near the border of uptown and downtown.“
“This is the former Gomonae restaurant - it's a small family run Korean restaurant with delicious soups and banchans. Gomonae moved out of their smaller location in the same strip mall to this spot which is larger and has a liquor license. Same delicious food. Yukgejang is very nice. No more fried chicken though. Service is so friendly too. Loved the purple rice. They are open in the morning until maybe 7 or 8pm I believe - not quite sure about dinner hours so double check.“

“My husband was here for an armwrestling event and when the transactions didn’t match up with what he authorized I gave them a call. The manager and woman who looked into this were great but the waitress that added her own gratuity to a less than 30$ single person check should be ashamed of herself. Unfortunately I’ve come to hear this from others about people tipping themselves so just a fair warning to check your bill before paying for anything.“

“Awesome place and it's pretty big. They always have shot and daily food specials on the weekdays, 2 pool tables, 30+ t.v.s, open everyday even holidays. The best part are the employees. They don't frown at you or act annoyed when you walk in. Nice place to unwind after a long day.“

“A pretty run of the mill dive/sports bar. It’s next to a big parking lot so it’s pretty accessible and convenient. The interior is standard for just about any sports bar but they do have an open floor area for dancing as well as lights too. We happened to go in during Bollywood night so there were tables reserved and people started coming in as the night progressed. The bar staff was friendly and encouraged us to stay for the music and we were glad as it was fun. Between the lasers, DJ, and live drums, it was definitely an atmosphere we’d never been in and we enjoyed it. They have hookah for those who like to smoke it as well.
The drinks were pretty strong for the price so it’s definitely a heavy hand and bang for your buck kind of place. They offer food there as well if you’re hungry. All in all, Stadium Sports Bar is a solid bar that we unfortunately didn’t get to see the sports die of. For quick drinks it feels like a good option in the area, we’re curious to see what it would be like on game days or other events though so be sure to check it out then!“
