“Came to Smithy on a Saturday with a large group. We didn’t have any reservations but were able to be sat quickly.Josh was our waiter and was exceptional. We were there for a birthday, and had two young children with us, and Josh did a great job accommodating both the children and the birthday.Food was great, drinks were great, and dessert was massive.Dishes of note: Tots Poutine, Luke’s chicken, and the enormous hula pie.Overall it was an exceptional outing, and we’ll be back soon.Thanks Josh!“

I have to say, Leah, the bartender working when we came in, had a keen eye for attention to detail, made every single drink ordered with a level of finesse that is fit for a 3 star Michelin star restaurant, and honestly made it with love. “This is definitely an atmosphere. Mood lighting, ambiance, and nice views for window seats. There is plenty of seating and friendly staff. Most people were dressed business casual.Great for lunch, business lunch/dinner, happy hour, dates, after work meet-up, dinner meet-up, and dine in alone. Nice bar area.Unique menu options, appropriate portions, and tasty dishes. Crab nachos are my favorite.Bathrooms are clean. Most seating is comfortable. There is a gorgeous space to rent for private parties or work parties. Downtown parking in nearby garages or metered with 2hr max. If there is a wait, the eyeball park is next door.My go-tos are crab nachos and pick 2/3 smart bowls.“

“Talk about welcoming?! Absolutely beautiful place, music fun to listen to, food by far sends my tastebuds out of this world!I had the Truffle Mac & Cheese Croquettes - packed with flavor, creamy! Slight kick from the Sriracha Aioli! And very thankful for the greens to balance it out!Variety of drinks to choose from but very thankful for the mocktails! I had the Hibiscus No-Jito! This is one of the rare times I ate an appetizer, a main course, and a dessert, and completely finished it without taking any leftovers, it was that good. “We spent $1000 on a meal for four with good wine. I had a steak and added their seafood skewer to it. It was one of the top meals I’ve had in the last five years! Shrimp, King crab, scallops, and lobster with a steak was amazing. The Bucatini appetizer with wine was amazing. I wish they didn’t have loud weird music. I wish the server had done a better job, keeping up with pouring the wine for us. That said it was one of the top experiences I have had in Dallas.“

“First and foremost, you're here for a show.It's a loud crazy atmosphere similar to a professional sports ball game.The servers are great doing their very specific job. Don't expect restaurant type service, again, this is a show.The food is ok. It's half a chicken with a piece of potato and a small corn on the cob. Eat with your hands (wet naps provided). There's also a small eclair for dessert. Not homemade, so check your expectations. Same with the cake served on VIP packages.It wasn't bad food, just "fast" food quality. That's more than enough for most people coming to this.The show itself, it's great. There's intrigue and treachery. The acrobatics are kinda fun to watch.Horses are amazing. The kids had an amazing time. Don't write this off as a kids affair, there were plenty of adult women bday parties or adult friend groups there enjoying themselves.“

At the time they were running a special with scallops, steak and then we also had the potatoes aun gratin. The service was over the top amazing. I have been to my fair share of steakhouses but this was the first time my napkin was placed on my lap for me. All of the food was delicious and all I wanted to do after I left was roll into bed. “Went in for a quick bite before a Mavs game…did not disappoint. Had the steak and frites…basic (the dish), but perfectly prepared and delicious. My wife had the chicken piccata. The orzo was a bit soupy but taster very good. Alan took care of us and was very helpful, pleasant, and knew his restaurant. Had the Texas Cabernet and it was delicious. A neighborhood steakhouse—a little loud but welcoming. A lot of families.“

“I don't remember the server's name but he was very respectful. We were here from out of town and wanted to see how great the breakfast was here. I had a build your own omelet and my other half had the Denver skillet. The food was great, we were so hungry we didn't take photos but the food was delicious, the service was good, and the server gave us top-tier service. “I found this spot on Dallas' "Hot & New" Yelp list and decided to check them out. It's my first time in Dallas and I am still getting oriented to Texas. Whistle Britches is in the northern suburbs of Dallas and has a bright diner ambiance. I sat on their covered patio. It was a quiet Friday afternoon. I was served after about 5 minutes. Breanna took care of me and got me a cold brew coffee. Their fried chicken looked good so I ordered their "Sir Mix A Lot" - one breast, one thigh, and one wing with two sides. The cole slaw was OK, though the biscuit was worth getting another. I would love it with some fresh eggs.“

“High end restaurant that actually met expectations. I came here on a Monday night for a business dinner. Valet parking was easy to use and the rate was $5 up to three hrs, and $15 for three hrs or more. The restaurant is beautifully decorated and exactly what you expect of a high end establishment. For our appetizers we had the seafood tower and calamari. The seafood tower was underwhelming, especially the very small oysters used. The calamari on the other hand was delicious and it had a Thai flavor that accentuated the dish. I started my meal with the lobster bisque and the soup was outstanding. I wish the lobster pieces were a little bigger, but overall the soup was top three all time for me. They do pour the soup over the lobster table side, which is a nice touch. For my entree I had the New York strip with a blue cheese crust. The steak was perfectly cooked, but the crust was a bit overdone. I would have preferred a cheesier texture over the crunchier option they use here. We tried numerous sides throughout the meal and the spinach was the star. The brussel sprouts were pretty bland and the asparagus was thin compared to other high end restaurants. Service overall was good and the staff were very attentive. The bar drinks were inconsistent with heavy pours one round and light pours the others. Overall this is a restaurant I would recommend if you're looking to celebrate a special occasion. The opportunities I witnessed are outweighed by the great ambiance and good food.“

“Went to Peaks at Beltline on 4/20 for lunch. They overcharged for Snakebites after I was there before & got tall Snakebites for around $8. Manager had no customer service experience blaming others for undercharging instead of taking accountability for not having servers confirm what size customers want & saying since the other manager charged wrong amount they don't feel they should have to. This was piss poor customer service & hope and you are you going to“

“This experience was unparalleled. I took my father out for a steak after he had been sidelined for some time with health issues. Starting at the host stand, they were super accommodating, and really went the extra mile to treat him as a special guest. We enjoyed a bourbon prior to dinner, and an excellent Wagyu Carpaccio with arugula, pickled beats, shaved manchego, and a spicy mayo base remoulade. The flavors were magnificent. We both enjoyed a 7oz filet with the cognac pepper and hollandaise sauce, which were a perfect accompaniment. Their wine selection by the glass was impressive; my father had a glass of Peju Merlot, and I had a glass of Threfethen Cabernet. Dean Fearing stopped by our table to say hello and paid his respects. The entire experience was well worth the money. I highly recommend this place.“

However I opt’d for a bourbon on the rocks after the smoked old fashioned. The Crème Brûlée was very light and tasty. Overall the meal was great and the staff was courteous, perhaps a little tardy in checking up on us, sat through the entire meal without having our water freshened or offered another drink. “I flew into Dallas for a conference at the Adolphus Hotel on Easter Sunday. It felt a bit cliché sitting alone at a hotel bar on a holiday. I mentioned that in passing to the most amazing bartender Nate. We had a laugh and Nate made it his mission to make sure my evening was anything but! This is a hidden gem & worth the visit. If you were lucky enough to taste his food while he was at the, ‘Cathedral Italian Bistro’ (Plano), you will be in for a treat! Beckley is a comfortable small (currently serving wine, but have applied for full liquor license) eclectic experience, with full focus on quality ingredients & mindfulness on the food/flavor. ❤️(heads up- name change in the works)Next time you are in Dallas for an event, or live in the vicinity, go give it a try! “Service was great. Ken was very helpful and attentive. The food is good and well priced for lunch. I had the lobster salad and my guest has the risotto special (lemon parm w/ scallops). She didn't like the edible flowers on it and honesty don't think those were needed. The indoor/outdoor seating was nice but it was a super humid day so would have been better to keep separate. The almond milk vanilla latte was delicious!“
