“Talk about welcoming?! Absolutely beautiful place, music fun to listen to, food by far sends my tastebuds out of this world!I had the Truffle Mac & Cheese Croquettes - packed with flavor, creamy! Slight kick from the Sriracha Aioli! And very thankful for the greens to balance it out!Variety of drinks to choose from but very thankful for the mocktails! I had the Hibiscus No-Jito! The zing from the ginger beer, with a sweet and sour after taste from the Hibiscus and the lingering mint to finish it off! Definitely trying the Texas Sunset next time!Flair was so helpful with the menu and Laura on top always running back and fourth attending all guests but keep a smile on her face! “This is definitely an atmosphere. Mood lighting, ambiance, and nice views for window seats. There is plenty of seating and friendly staff. Most people were dressed business casual.Great for lunch, business lunch/dinner, happy hour, dates, after work meet-up, dinner meet-up, and dine in alone. Nice bar area.Unique menu options, appropriate portions, and tasty dishes. Crab nachos are my favorite.Bathrooms are clean. Most seating is comfortable. There is a gorgeous space to rent for private parties or work parties. Downtown parking in nearby garages or metered with 2hr max. If there is a wait, the eyeball park is next door.My go-tos are crab nachos and pick 2/3 smart bowls.“

“We spent $1000 on a meal for four with good wine. I had a steak and added their seafood skewer to it. It was one of the top meals I’ve had in the last five years! Shrimp, King crab, scallops, and lobster with a steak was amazing. The Bucatini appetizer with wine was amazing. I wish they didn’t have loud weird music. I wish the server had done a better job, keeping up with pouring the wine for us. That said it was one of the top experiences I have had in Dallas.“

“What a great addition to Northpark mall, I mean it's literally a complete vibe from entry to exit. My husband and I always try different places while on DateDay or DateNight. We were out shopping for our home and both got pretty hungry so I pulled up Yelp and saw that I bookmarked this plane due to all the advertisement I'd seen on socials about this new hotspot coming to Dallas. We quickly rolled over and shocked at how many people we there midday. We had a 40 min wait which I was okay with as the champagne was flowing and that kept me occupied ;-) We were approached and escorted to our table only after 15-20 mins. We had a great table with views around the restaurant. It was a high top in the bar area sorta. Our server helped us decide on our dishes and we both enjoyed them. My tacos were perfect, the fries could've been a bit more hot. My husband said his chicken parm was ok. The sushi roll was very tasty and fresh as well. I'd like to go back as they have Happy Hour 3-6 Monday - Friday. I'll update based on that and provide insight.“

“High end restaurant that actually met expectations. I came here on a Monday night for a business dinner. Valet parking was easy to use and the rate was $5 up to three hrs, and $15 for three hrs or more. The restaurant is beautifully decorated and exactly what you expect of a high end establishment. For our appetizers we had the seafood tower and calamari. The seafood tower was underwhelming, especially the very small oysters used. The calamari on the other hand was delicious and it had a Thai flavor that accentuated the dish. I started my meal with the lobster bisque and the soup was outstanding. I wish the lobster pieces were a little bigger, but overall the soup was top three all time for me. They do pour the soup over the lobster table side, which is a nice touch. For my entree I had the New York strip with a blue cheese crust. The steak was perfectly cooked, but the crust was a bit overdone. I would have preferred a cheesier texture over the crunchier option they use here. We tried numerous sides throughout the meal and the spinach was the star. The brussel sprouts were pretty bland and the asparagus was thin compared to other high end restaurants. Service overall was good and the staff were very attentive. The bar drinks were inconsistent with heavy pours one round and light pours the others. Overall this is a restaurant I would recommend if you're looking to celebrate a special occasion. The opportunities I witnessed are outweighed by the great ambiance and good food.“

“This experience was unparalleled. I took my father out for a steak after he had been sidelined for some time with health issues. Starting at the host stand, they were super accommodating, and really went the extra mile to treat him as a special guest. We enjoyed a bourbon prior to dinner, and an excellent Wagyu Carpaccio with arugula, pickled beats, shaved manchego, and a spicy mayo base remoulade. The flavors were magnificent. We both enjoyed a 7oz filet with the cognac pepper and hollandaise sauce, which were a perfect accompaniment. Their wine selection by the glass was impressive; my father had a glass of Peju Merlot, and I had a glass of Threfethen Cabernet. Dean Fearing stopped by our table to say hello and paid his respects. The entire experience was well worth the money. I highly recommend this place.“

“Went for happy hour. It was our second time there in a while and we always like the vibes of Rye. Shame to see to that their amazing espresso martini is no longer on happy hour menu, but their old fashioned is quit good as well. We opted to get everything on the happy hour menu. The Icelandic hotdog was exquisite and the best thing on the HH menu. Pork belly taco - great. Fry bread - ok the bread was fine, but I have a sensitive nose so I thought there cheese or butter it came with smelled like a wet towel. That said my wife said it was good, so maybe I don't know anything lol. Classic burger - I remembered this being good last time, but it wasn't great. I thought the bread was a little dry and the meat was overdone. Wouldn't get this again. Fried mushroom - this was delicious. Chicken taco special - this one was super spicy and I think they overdone it on certain ingredient. Maybe paprika? Didn't like it. While the food was mixed, the HH is a great value, great drinks and great vibe. Service was friendly and quick too.“

“I have heard great things about Wicked Butcher in Fort Worth, but the drive is not going to happen on a Saturday. So I was very excited about their opening in downtown! Starting off with the hostesses. Now, they really set the tone for a fantastic night. They were engaged, fun, welcoming, and definitely a highlight of starting the evening off well. We were greased with complimentary bubbles and led to the bar where we wanted to have a drink before dinner. The DJ was setting up, the energy was good, and the decor was beautiful. Just be warned- they don't mess with the drinks and they are strong (my compliments to the bartender!) Dinner, I got the beef Wellington and omg. It was so good. The pastry was light and flaky and I was so happy to see this dish on the menu. The whole dinner was fantastic, although not inexpensive. My grandmother always said you can rate a restaurant based on their bathrooms. And she was a smart lady so I willl continue to use her rules and give an enthusiastic recommendation for Wicked Butcher, with an extra star for their fabulous bathrooms.“

“Food here was ahhhh-mazing! A place you can go to over and over, and never get tired of. My favorite dish was the snow crab scampi, which I almost didn't order I probably could have had 5 orders and I'm not a big seafood person.Salmon crispy rice was also fantastic, great flavor and textures throughout. Lobster escargot was scary to try, to be fair, I wasn't the one who ordered but I'm not a fan of escargot. Apparently, it's only called lobster escargot due to the dish it's cooked in and doesn't actually contain escargot--the puff pasty was golden, flaky and paired well.My least favorite was the pressed tuna. It has truffle oil and it was VERY overwhelming. Like, my nose doesn't even work, l've had 3 nasal surgeries and can't even smell farts...and I smelled this from a mile away. It was very potent and really killed the dish for us. The meatball was good but I think I prefer smaller meatballs although this giant one was cool to try once. Great staff, very accommodating and attentive. Bar seats are the best in the house! Will be back to try out happy hour (M-F 4-6 half off martinis and pizzas)“

“I posted about Bowen House and St. Martin's in the past, but we had another great experience I wanted to share with you. I had a business meeting at Bowen House and followed it up with dinner at St. Martin's last night. "It's rare you find restaurants/bars in your neighborhood that make you feel like you're at home because of the exceptional service." That was a direct quote from my friend who lives in the Dallas suburbs. Owner Pasha Heidari and his family makes sure you feel special from the moment you walk in. They're constantly greeting and chatting with patrons to ensure everyone feels like an important part of their family. You can catch Pasha in action in one of the photos. He's the don of the East Dallas restaurant scene. The staff also is trained to go above and beyond. Trenton, our bartender, overheard our conversation about different liqueurs and had us try something we never heard of called Amer Fleur de Joie. It's a delicious French Apertif that is basically a drinkable bitters. Amer means bitter in French but it is smooth and delicious. We were then offered a taste of Gran Patron because we were admiring the beautiful bottle on the top shelf. I'm not a big tequila lover but it was very smooth and delicious as a sipping spirit. The two delicious Bowen House whiskey cocktails seen in the photo are C. Montgomery Burns and There's Something About Mary. I highly recommend both if you enjoy whiskey. Here's to the amazing owners of some the best restaurants and bars we have in Dallas. Thank you and keep making us feel like royalty. Salute C. “This is a good place to get a bite and decompress after a long day at the convention center. So many food options. It could get pretty crowded and noisy downstairs but they have a lot of seating upstairs too including the patio which has an awesome view of the square. It is an easy 10mins walk from/to the convention center.“

“Loved our time at Gemma! We recently dined here for an intimate b-day celebration just my boyfriend and I! We were greeted warmly by the host staff and presented a sweet birthday card and complementary olives and pecans. The service was spot on and we received so many recommendations regarding food! We ordered the sticky ribs to start (yum!), pappardelle/steak frites for mains and tiramisu for dessert. Our waiter timed everything just as we requested and we were able to thoroughly enjoy our meal! The tiramisu even came out with a birthday candle (such a sweet touch!). Thank you for a great time!“

“I last visited the HOB in 2012. At that time the Foundation Room was exclusive. Now it's open to all. The food is still 5 Star $$$. Although ordering is reminiscent of a Waffle House in the bad part of town; They asked to hold my credit card before taking my order. The members areas are roped off and small compared to the spacious setting. As a result the members were cramped together. My visit was 4/18/24, during the Roy Wood Jr. Show so maybe it's not usually as busy. Possibly they could expand the VIP seating during those times.I see no advantage to becoming a member other than the concert discounts and those are substantial. My dinner was wonderful, our table was great. Asking for the credit card first was ghetto. All in all, a mixed bag. I will be back, but with lowered expectations.“

“I went with my parents recently and we were overjoyed with the incredible service, unique cocktails and delicious food. We were there in the evening, and the dim lights gave a swanky yet welcoming vibe. We really enjoyed our meal and I WILL for sure be back! Here is what we ordered and our ratings: - Uca gnocchi (8/10) - Daily bread (9/10) - Sakura Pork "Au Poivre" (9/10) - Sgt. Pepper Goes to Jalisco (10/10) - Kohlrabi caesar (10/10) - Short rib (10/10) I'll never forget the caesar salad which was anything but traditional. The flavors were out of this world, but it still had the familiar cool crunch of a caesar salad. The short rib was also outstanding - one of the best pieces of beef I had in a long time. If you stop by, definitely go hungry so you can order the daily bread (seasonal) before enjoying your mains!“

“The seating is a bit cramped the closer you get to the kitchen, so just pray to not be seated there. Drinks are good, food is good, and nothing is dry which is a BLESSING with southern comfort food. If I'm trying to impress someone from out of town with good Dallas Southern food, with a hint of bougie, I'm bringing them here and feeling confident about it. I've been twice now and the service was lovely each time. My real recommendation is that Mac and cheese and the chicken fried steak. I hope this place is around for a good while.“

“Amazing service and yummy food.I was initially greeted by the hostess, I didn’t catch her name, but she was super friendly and didn’t make me feel silly for asking my silly question “do you do takeout” and then she directed me to the proper place to put my order in.And the cashier, Mike, was very kind and patient as I looked at the menu and very knowledgeable about today’s special which I did get - the ribeye quesadillas. The food was hot and ready and very tasty! Came with cream cheese, guacamole, and poco de gallo. The quesadillas were very fairly priced at $11 for 4 nicely filled triangles. But some of the items on the menu did seem on the upper end, not sure how big the meals are though. Not to mention the location, very cute square outside with lots of outdoor seating and pretty landscape away from the bustle of the busy streets.Definitely recommend!“
