“I was looking for a new breakfast place and I found this 9 mins away. I had the inspired Italian with the morning meditation juice and I was surprised how good they were. I usually stay away from any type of ethnic inspired dishes specially for breakfast because they tend to flip and I feel like I wasted money but the Inspired Italian was quite an interesting take. A blend of savory, salty, sweet and sour. It's weird to say it on an omelette but this one was quite refreshing. The morning meditation juice was also very nice. Not overly sweet but also an eye candy. The staff is friendly and accommodating. Highly recommend“

“My favorite location and my favorite breakfast restaurant (outside of my kitchen) ?.I always have a pleasant experience, and the food is consistently delicious while the ambiance of the atmosphere is always light and airy!I usually get the same items when I patronize the restaurant and love how I can customize them to my liking without any objection.First Watch is always my first priority when considering a good breakfast!Vegetarian options: Many items on the menu could be customized and made vegetarian if you prefer.“

“This is probably my favorite cafe in Houston. The Americano my wife and I shared was literally the best coffee we’ve had maybe ever. The food was fantastic. The place was clean and inviting. The staff was very friendly and efficient. We wish we lived in town so we could come here more often.“

“This is legit the best vegan bakery I have ever been to in my life. Every single thing they make is uniquely designed and delicious- more tasty than any vegan pastries I have ever had. It doesn’t even matter what flavor it is or type of pastry, everything tastes amazing. If I had thousands of dollars to donate to something, it would be this place.“

“So we were on vacation in Houston and on a whim decided to come here for coffee.. best choice ever! The atmosphere is excellent; open, tropical, inviting. The owner is cheerful and welcoming. And best of all: their coffee! We got the cinimon-honey and marzapan coffee and it was absolutely delicious. It was so freaking good we forgot to take photos of the coffee before we slurped it down! Highly recommended this place.“

“Came here a while back with a friend, and we had a great time! The vibe here is super chill, and it seems like a nice place to study or just hang out. I ordered the taro milk tea, and we also split the cookie butter toast. Both were tasty! We would definitely come back.“

“Place has a nice charm to it but there are a few things they should’ve done differently. For one, the tables are crazy small and the chairs are not comfortable at all. Crepe was ok but very dry. I had the one with chicken and bacon and a teeny tiny bit of cheese and a teaspoon of sauce on top. Nutella waffles were fabulous. Service was very good. Charming but could use a little tweaking.“

“Active Passion Coffee is my absolute favorite spot! Seriously, I can't get enough. The vibe is so welcoming, and the food? Oh my goodness. You HAVE to try their Kimchi Grilled Cheese with a fried egg and bacon – it's out of this world. And get this: they make their own kimchi in-house. How cool is that?Their coffee? Let's just say I'm addicted. And the staff? They're like old friends, always there with a smile and ready to chat. Whether you're popping in for a quick pick-me-up or settling in for a lazy brunch, this place nails it. Trust me, you won't regret it. Five stars all the way!“

“I needed to customize a birthday cake for my friend and came across this bakery on Instagram. So far I've tried the pulled pork ube cake and matcha crepe. The cake tastes delicious, light and puffy. The crepe, on the other hand, needs a bit sweeter for my taste. They serve coffee/tea in vintage sets that elaborates your experience here. A nice cozy place for an afternoon tea.“

“The atmosphere is a bit stuffy. I'm not a huge fan of the prices, but the food is good enough quality that I can't complain too much. It seems like it's always fairly crowded, so that makes me feel better about the freshness of the food being prepared.“

“Chose this coffee spot as a place to chill before our flight out of houston. Floored on the food - the Chinese sausage tacos were amazing. The tortillas were just right, good portions, right amount of heat, sweet, and texture. Best breakfast taco I've ever had. Wish i had more time in Houston to try their whole menu! Cold brews were good as well!“

“This is such a nice deli! The service is excellent and the to go packing felt so premium. The chicken salad on a croissant was fantastic and paired well with the potato salad. The double chocolate cookie with caramel chips was one of the best cookies I've ever had! They also have a large selection of beer and wine and the decor is very nice and tasteful. Highly recommend!“

“Love this place so far. I've only been a few times but hoping to make it a regular spot. It does get pretty crowded though, especially for Magic events, but they have a calendar that kinda helps you avoid the bigger events. A bit cramped but only because they try to maximize the tables available and very very friendly/accepting.Parking: Their parking area is very limited and people tend to just find spots on the side streets. The area is getting... revamped, so hopefully the street parking stays free or they're able to buy more space.“

“Hands-down, my favorite coffee shop in Houston. All of the baristas are literally so sweet and care so much about you having a perfect experience. We went in on a Sunday afternoon and we were easily able to find a seat—which I’ve never experienced at any other Houston coffee shop but they literally have so much space and seating it’s lovely. I had both the Pistachio Matcha Latte and Nutella Crepe and both were phenomenal. Will absolutely be returning.“

“Cafetopia is always my FIRST stop for desserts in Houston! I have a sweet tooth but prefers desserts not overly sugary, Cafetopia is just PERFECT for me.Their crepe cakes are definitely standout – just the right balance of sweetness, with a fine, delicate taste. I do think it is better than the big-name brand. And don't even get me started on their cheesecake! It's an absolute delight, with a refreshing cheesy flavor and a perfectly crunchy texture! And most importantly, the reason keeps me being a loyal fan of their cakes is their high-quality ingredients, you can taste the difference in every bite!Definitely worth to give it a try if you appreciate top-notch desserts!“

“Fantastikós! A gem! Super friendly and we loved everything we ordered this first visit. You can tell there is love put into this food! We ate at the restaurant and ordered: Spana omelet (listed under brunch but we had it for dinner) with greens, meat mezze, gigantes, moussaka, lamb wrap with lemon potatoes, spanakopita, mint lemonade and white wine that I can't find on online menus. Plates are great for sharing. The menu there is more extensive than menu I've seen online. Our entire party loved everything (save our picky eater who tried and ate much more than she does at any other restaurant!) The atmosphere is clean, cozy, intimate and warm. I foresee this becoming a family favorite.“

“Came here couple of years ago and decided to give it a try again. I am not sure but I think this place temporarily closed and re-opened?Anyways I went to grab brunch yesterday and went with matcha french toast and iced vanilla latte with oatmilk. Wasn't quite sure what to expect on the matcha french toast and was surprised by the presentation. I think it was prob the healthiest french toast I've eaten in my entire life. It wasn't the omgosh it's delicious, but it was still yumyum in some way. The toast was quite chewy and I found the ingredients topped off interesting. Like blueberries and nuts and leaves... Vanilla latte was strong, and felt healthy too. No sugar it seemed.Parking is limited. About 10 spots. You can street park but if the weather is bad, i don't think it's the best. They have both outdoor and indoor seatings. I like the calm and aesthetic atmosphere. Customer service is awesome!I felt like the price point was a bit high but I'm assuming it's maybe due to all the health-conscious ingredients they use?“

“Visiting from out of town and wasn’t sure what to expect but wow was I surprised!I stopped in and ordered the cookie stuffed croissant as a breakfast treat (to go) and this was one of the most decadent and delicious pastries I’ve ever eaten!!Due to how good the croissant was, I returned for dinner and our server was great with recommending a drink (Hanoi Hi Five) which was an explosive of flavors in every sip.As for the food: I had the burger with seasoned fries that I could not stop eating - sooo good! My dinner companion had the fried rice and really enjoyed it noting it was as spicier than expected but in a good way.The highlight (no pun intended) was the service. Everyone was warm, welcoming, and friendly. Can’t wait to return.“

“We came here on a Friday night for a snack as we had dinner plans in a few hours. We ordered the dip board which came with your choice of dips. We got the beet tahini dip and a feta spread which came with roasted carrots, pita bread, and olives. Now, I'm not an olive person. I actually hate olives, but whatever olives they had were delicious. Both of the spreads were amazing as well. The ambiance in this place is relaxing and peaceful. There were several people in here studying while we had our snack. I definitely want to come back for dinner sometime.“

“Badolina is one of my favorite places for a quick breakfast. Now; it's not a full service breakfast place as they only have pastries, but they do have some options with eggs that are a little hearty like their quiches, but that's not why I come here. I come here for the double chocolate croissant. It's so good. Oh my god. I could eat like 3 of them in one sitting. And then the pizza focaccia. Like who doesn't love an excuse to have pizza for breakfast? The prices can add up pretty quickly but usually I order 1-2 things and the damage isn't too bad ($10-$14 depending on what I order). Make sure you get one of their coffees to go with your pasties. Lastly, the patio. I absolutely am enchanted with their patio. It is like going to a European cafe without leaving Texas. The service is fast as well. Definitely would recommend this place!“

“This is a great local cafe in the area! There is plenty of seating and I love the vibes here. There are a lot of windows, so this cafe gets plenty of natural lighting. There's also outdoor seating too if the weather is nice enough outside to sit out there and enjoy it. There is also plenty of parking since the parking lot is big in this plaza. I have honestly not tried any of the bakery or food items here yet. I've only tried the vanilla latte (hot) and morning matcha latte (iced). Both drinks are delicious. The morning matcha latte typically comes with oat milk (unless you ask otherwise), and I felt like it made it taste really good. It wasn't overly sweet, but was sweet just enough for me. I liked how clean, modern, and spacious the cafe is. I will definitely be back to try out the food items some time!“

“Went here after work with some friends as we wanted to try something different. Jose, was very welcoming, and walked us through the menu explaining very patiently the food from his country and helped us make our selections. As we waited for our orders he treated us to sample some of his delectable mince meat empanadas . We were very hungry from a long days work so we scarf those down as we sat outside to enjoy the evening. Our food arrived promptly to our table side, and our taste buds couldn’t be happier. I had the pabellón empanada, fresh squeezed pineapple juice with guava & Cheese pastelito. Everything was delicious.Towards the end of our meal, Jose surprised us with the most delicious coffee we have ever had to seal our night. You gotta come here and try the their house coffee!Despite us walking in 30 mins prior to closing, service was super friendly & welcoming and just impeccable. We were never rushed. Los Pastelitos Cafe is a hidden gem in the energy corridor, so do yourself a favor and come here ! Great South American food, drinks, atmosphere and service at amazing prices. “Hosted an anniversary party for my parents here, and cannot say enough great things about Szilvia and her staff. They were incredibly accommodating and helpful. We had a mishap with our cake (purchased elsewhere) while driving down and our waitress told us not to worry about it, that she would fix it, and she did! She went way above and beyond. The wine was amazing, and our guests had a wonderful time. Szilvia was very knowledgeable and kind, and we loved learning about the wines from her. She also helped us with a wine gift for my parents with a custom label, and was so communicative with us during the planning process. She even texted me when we were on the way down and asked me to let her know when we were close so she could have our guests hide and surprise my parents. We could not have asked for a better host or venue. Highly recommend Szilvia and Sable Gate!“

“Kid-friendliness: One time I went in, there was a baby walking around....made some noise. No one really seemed to mind, which I really liked. The baby wasn't bothering anyone, was just being a kid. They also allow dogs, and have dog treats to give to the dogs. I thought that was pretty cool! DO NOT bring outside food IN. By the time I was about to be finished with my food, I found out that's fround upon. The drinks are a decent price, still a little on the high end. Desserts too. Also, I'm cheap.........so do with that what you will. ?“
