“I visited Daqs & Oxtails for the first time during their Soft Grand Opening on 5/30/24. I love the vibe of the place. There was plenty of parking with indoor and outdoor seating. There was no hot food ready to purchase during my visit but I did buy the in-house banana pudding, hypnotic lemonade, Cake Daddy’s chicken salad, and the “Voodoo” flavor daiquiri. The servers were pleasant and professional, and the items were priced as I expected. Of all the items I purchased, the banana pudding was my favorite. I will definitely be returning to this spot for some oxtails, greens, yams, and cornbread soon! This spot is worth checking out!“

“How have I been living in Dallas, 15 min from here, for 38 years and just now found this place!? Don't like tomatoes or mayo on your burger? Want extra pickles? No fussing with a cashier, there is a toppings bar to dress your burger the way YOU like. Fries were fresh and hot. Staff was friendly and fast. dining area was clean. Burgers were well seasoned and they gave us a generous amount of bacon and crumbled blue cheese. Chili cheese dog was a good, but I wish they would have toasted the hotdog bun. Overall, ten out of ten! We will be back!“

“I had breakfast yesterday for the first time here, and the food was amazing. My friend had the banana and Nutella crepes. She said they were delicious. I had scrambled eggs and ham and the portions were awesome. Our server Isaac was excellent. We plan to return and try having lunch. “Drove past this place countless times and finally decided to give it a shot; glad I did! We ordered the catfish with shrimp, the ceviche, and the seafood gumbo. The catfish and shrimp were solid, and the ceviche was a nice touch. The gumbo was the only item that didn't quite hit the mark for me, but everything else delivered. To top it off, we grabbed a table on the outdoor patio and enjoyed the meal with a perfect spring breeze, honestly one of the better settings for a casual seafood dinner. “Kids eat for $1.99 on Sundays. The chicken tenders are good the Fry's are good. The hot wings are good. Also the chicken and waffles are delicious and the combo is 5.99 on Wednesday. My kids like the food here. What I don't like is you have to ask for key to use the restroom. They use to have tvs playing the sports shows and now they are always off. They use to have jazz music playing and now they don't. At the other slims chickens the tvs work and the restrooms are unlocked.“

My husband loved his monte cristi and the complimentary bread was so fresh and delicious. I ordered a 6 oz steak, medium rare, which was a little rubbery on the outside and overcooked. Unfortunately, fries never keep well in their Togo containers- also an issue with most other restaurants. The broccoli cheese casserole was great but I was a little disappointed with my meal as a whole. I guess you get what you pay for, because our bill was only 30 bucks for the both of us.“
