“Ate there for the first time today, OMG worth every penny. Had the blackened wild caught grouper topped with blackened shrimp and chunk crab meat and roasted carrots in a heavenly sauce. As captain of a gulf shrimp boat for over 20 years and then 20 years on a offshore patrol boat for TPWD I have eaten at a lot of high dollar seafood restaurants up and down the Gulf coast and probably all on SPI,none hold a candle to this place. “Easily the best seafood I've had outside of South Padre Island. The grilled fish was a thick fillet, and teh shrimp were very large and meaty, both were very well seasoned. The sides were very good too. Fries were not too oily as I often see at other restaurants.Service was also very friendly and fast. It was a littl hard finding parking in the very small lot that was there. If it wasn't far away from me, I would probably go here once a week or even more.“

“I got the telapia ceviche over green tostitos. They were delicious. The ceviche was just perfect, not overly fishy and the texture too. I tried their habanero sauce, which was super spicy but it added a great flavor to the snack. I'll try the shrimp ceviche next time“

“One of our favorite locally owned restaurants. The best taco salad in the RGV. My husband drools at the thought of going just because he loves her Chile reillno so much. “Took my girlfriend to the Landmark on Tower for Valentine's Day because she had been wanting to check out The Bag food truck. We ordered the 12 piece shrimp basket with fries. I myself am not big on seafood but my girlfriend is. With that said this was hands down the BEST FRIED SHRIMP I've ever had in my life!! “My favorite poke in the McAllen area. Been coming for years and I love to mix it up with the variety of proteins, toppings, and sauces. The house sauce is awesome. ?? “When in McAllen, this is a must, with a couple of need to know disclaimers! First of all, get ready for some of the BEST Mexican food you'll ever have. The chips, salsa, and refried beans with chorizo are pretty good, and you could practically get full on this alone! I had the tacos de carne asada and O-M-G i couldn't stop eating the meat. It was so tender and juicy and bursting with flavor. A bonus for me was that there was relatively no fat or tendons on this meat. It is so hard to find these traits even in the best of restaurants. The downside to this dish is that it literally only comes with the tortilla, the meat, grilled onions, and 1 grilled jalapeño. I was like, where's the cilantro, the avocado or guac, and all the other toppings, so you have to order these things separately. I had fresh lime-cucumber water, and i could drink that all day every day!!! Anyway, the service was so-so and the environment is nice enough. I'd go back for the carne asada and the drink i had I'd i were ever in the area again!! Just be prepared to drop some cash on your meal. Yes, you can get the same food at a street taco place, but you can tell this place uses nothing but premium ingredients.“
