Unlike many restaurants, the fish here is consistently tender and flaky, and if you are dining in, you don't have to wait around the counter to pickup your food when it's ready. “Breakfast today at Blanquita's Mexican Restaurant in Harlingen was delicious! It was my 1st time here and I'm definitely a fan. My eggs were made perfectly how I like them. The sausage patties are big and full of flavor. The bacon was crispy. The hashbrowns were nice and golden. The refried beans were good as well. The staff was very friendly. The dining area is nice and clean. I love the atmosphere inside. I'll definitely be back soon with my wife, daughters and mother-in-law. I heard their barbacoa and menudo is very good as well so I have to try those next. I highly recommend.“
“This is a true South Texas restaurant located in Harlingen, TX. I enjoyed everything I ate. I had the pork chop with eggs. I liked that they grilled the chop. It came with refried beans, potatoes, salsa, and tortillas. The portions are perfect for the price. I liked it was busy, gave it a vibe, and the staff was super friendly and great service. “Love this place. Have been going for a few years now. Love the fact that I can pick & choose what I want to add to my ceviche. I love the traditional, but my husband loves the island. His has mango. Always get the combo ,fish and shrimp. Love that it is not fishy.Will surely go back.Service can be slow, but I blame the customers. Some don't know what they want or add extras after the fact.“

“Love their food and great place to eat.Vegetarian options: Lo mein noodles with veggies....or rice with veggies, soups as well that may not contain meat. You'd have to ask.Parking: It's shared with the plaza. So all businesses use the same parking. But for most part people are always coming and going so you should be able to find parking without an issue.Kid-friendliness: Yes. I always see kids walking around; just being kids looking around. Which no one seems to mind. I don't with kids of my own.“

“4 stars because they give veterans a discount. Other wise it would have been 3. Its SO loud in there. The music omg. I love music but turn it down so I can hear. Sliders were dry. And lettuce does not belong on a slider. Hubs really enjoyed his burger with the pork belly. Was told the fries were hand cut and they were not. Definitely short handed. It was decent but I would not return.“
