“Tonia, presented me with thier famous pozole. I am a very critical person when it comes to Pozole. It was DELICIOUS !!! Plate presentation was SUPERB, and everything I wanted, they provided !!! The service Tonia provided was PERFECT !!! I highly recommend this restaurant . Place is clean and Tv playing Mexican videos …. This is our 3rd time here, & every time we try something new. So far their menu is short of perfection. Gracias Tonia !!! Nos vemos pronto !!!“

“Food always good here!! The daily specials 5 99 are FIRE ?! The service is always on point. I try to come eat here often. The menu also has lots I other options. Definitely recommend this place.

“The decor looked great, the music was nice. When we sat down after ordering. The food arrived about 5 minutes after ordering so they have really exceptional service. The food was pricey but seemed worth what you were getting. I ordered the tacos de camarrón zarrendeado which tasted really good and what I think everyone needs to try. And I never had a taco plate with rice, fries, and onion rings before. My wife got the tostitos ceviche de camarrón which tasted good with added lime. If there was only one complaint is that the salsas were not that spicy and my wife especially prefers her ceviche to be really sour/bitter or spicy to the point of inducing gastritis. I know that's weird but there are some other restaurants that have delivered on that. Although the ceviche does look presentable and even a little intimidating, the taste does not match the presentation. So if the menu looks like it will send you to the restroom, don't worry the taste is not as extreme as it looks.
Kid-friendliness: They have high chairs and a few options in the kids menu.“

“Very good seafood. The salsa was good as well as the seafood drink they gave you. I've never had anything like it. But the drink is delicious and a little spicy which is great for me. I had the fish and shrimp soup. It was very good and they put a lot of fish in it. It was busy since it was lunch time and they took a little long to take my order. Once I ordered the food came out at a reasonable amount of time.“

“My husband and I went through the drive-thru and ordered two aguas frescas (piña and mango) and two nieves naturales (natural ice cream - sandia and chamoy). Everything was delicious, we were blown away with how fresh everything tasted. The ice was perfect and the service was prompt. We definitely plan on returning!“

“El Portón was DELICIOUS! Randomly stopped by late in the evening & were pleasantly surprised. The Tampiqueña plate was ?, the quesadillas a la plancha oh my goodness!! My husband had the CALDO de res & he raved about it, he is not one easily pleased so that says a lot. Highly recommend if you haven't tried El Portón Taqueria Express, you're missing out on delicious food!“

“Ordered Birria tacos ? and the ribeye tacos and they were perfect! The ribeye was nice and soft and the Birria meat was mouth watering. Definitely recommend and definitely will be back. Will upload pictures the next visit because we couldn't wait to dig in!“
