“We had heard about this place that they have very good seafood and with my craving for fresh fried fish that I haven't been satisfied anywhere here in the mid-valley, so we stopped there and found out.... and boy did it satisfy it. Now I took off one star cuz the environment needs a little fixing. A lil facelift here and there and it will look classy to go wit the meals. Their presentation of the food was impressive.“
“I tried their breakfast and everything we ordered good. Service could be better. We ordered a chorizo and egg taco and the brought us ham and egg. When we told our waitress, she said she wrote down ham and egg and that she didn't get it wrong. We didn't want to make a scene so we kept the taco and ordered another chorizo and egg taco. Other than that, we enjoyed our food and had good pricing. They have a good breakfast special.“
“I was a happy customer, things that stood out are the cleanliness, 3 tvs each with a different program on, and the customer service was as good as it could get. My waitress was VERY helpful and included recommendations. The food was ready in a timely manner and everything was brought in the order and time that it should have. Everything delicious and the plate was neatly presented, I recommend.Kid-friendliness: High chairs are available“
“Bad experience, abuse, defamation, I went to eat as a client, I have a family member working there, the busbay, I threw away my dishes without asking, honest with the manager, she said to me, then they got the family member who works there into the problem, which is why I put it on my Facebook, which is private. I had added toWaitress, Anahi Murano and Elena Sifuentes, they gave the handlers my Facebook post and meme, they accuse me of threatening Anahi's husband. I have audios when he opens with her partner, and he said that they had threatened him and that's why they ran. Family wing for things that are not true oh tests and the ridicule of the manager who mistreats his employees and customers I put the seafood La Costa uos urine putting what happened and they deleted it because they like it and put bad comments no more good ones they spy on the networks social of others by anahi“
“Alfredo not only knows the extensive menu like the back of his palm but knows exactly what to recommend . Tailored to you, he makes you feel confident in your choice . He has all the amazing traits that a server should have . Amazing experience , definitely recommend Alfredo for your next visit to Mr.Crabby’s!!!!“
“My favorite place to get sea food boil! I love that they come packed with chunks of fresh garlic. I’ve always left with plenty of left overs so no matter what portion you get you’ll most likely leave with lunch for tomorrow lol. Prices are pretty similar to Mr. Crabby’s.“
“This is the first time I went to Mambo and the food didn't disappoint. I had the number 7 grilled octopus in mambo sauce with shrimp fried rice and the empanada appetizer. Our server Adri gave us excellent service. She was very knowledgeable about the menu and gave us recommendations like the grilled octopus with mambo sauce. She even helped us take a family photo and went above and beyond. I would definitely come back here. I really recommend the food I mentioned.“
“I came with my family to try for the first time and I was beyond far from disappointed. Everyone was so attentive and continuous people came to check on us to ask if everything was okay. I personally got some pulpo tostadas. By far the best pulpo I have had. I highly recommend this place. I did a 40 minute drive and I would do it again. Worth the hype, worth the money!! 10/10“
“We were pleasantly surprised. We had the fish tacos with their homemade batter and sauce, their shrimp rice, and a shrimp cocktail with a cold Michelada. The food was great tasting and definitely worth having again. Their are many other items on the menu that we intend to taste on our next visit.“
“The restaurant inside is decorated beautifully! The servers were very friendly and attentive. I had the cóctel de camarón, and my husband had the tacos a la plancha, both delicious, and really enjoyed the jamaica as well! Can’t wait to be back in McAllen to dine here!Kid-friendliness: My son is a picky eater, and they have lots of kid friendly options, including pizza!“
“Let me star to say that krab kings is my new favorite spot to get crad it was so good and tasty we decide to taste lemon pepper with spicy and was soooo gooooood we also try the queen margarita it was phenomenal we try hypnotiq with strawberries was our server jasmyn was so good and fast to get our order she was nice and helpful we truly be back thanks again Kaytlinnn ????❤️“
“The atmosphere is great, but the food is outstanding. More than that, the service was top quality. Our server, Morgan, was next level when it comes to customer service. My wife and I have been here several times, and Morgan remembered our orders from previous visits and ways makes us fell like we are special customers. We go back for the food, the drinks, and for Morgan’s service.“
“My new go to!! Tried the ribeye tacos, corn, burger, and spiropapa, and everything was excellent. Not only was the food great, the customer service was even better. Friendly staff and tasty food will have us going back for as long as they keep it up! I hope to see this establishment succeed and expand!“
“Service was quick and employees friendly. We ordered the botana for 4, and it was huge! The chicken and fajitas were tender and everything tasted great. Salsas (nice variety)were just the right level of spicy. Excellent food at a great price.“
“Love love the atmosphere, and how attentive the waiter was with us especially with my mom since she was the Birthday gal….they recommended the best dishes on the house absolutely everything was super delicious….price for everything was decent…Ruben was our waiter and his “
“Excellent service from Miss Carolina, the quality of her work is amazing, super friendly, the way she greets you when you enter the restaurant is very nice. I recommend the Tlalpeño shrimp broth and we loved it. We will definitely return and order it. Thank you for the service.“
“This place is hands down a must stop if you are in the area. The staff was friendly and helpful, and had great suggestions. The food is a perfect balance between spicy, savory, and somehow light and refreshing. Can't wait to come back the next time we visit the area!“
“Omg! Been searching for the best taquitos and I finally found the right place, I really enjoyed my meal. My Compliments to the cook ? if I could I would give 10 stars ⭐️ would definitely come back and recommend. I hope the food always stays delicious as it was. Thank you!“
“I got the telapia ceviche over green tostitos. They were delicious. The ceviche was just perfect, not overly fishy and the texture too. I tried their habanero sauce, which was super spicy but it added a great flavor to the snack. I'll try the shrimp ceviche next time“
“I give 3 stars to the food as the risotto was not a risotto (creamy consistency), it was just a rice with almonds, dry, not creamy, which would have add some “sauce” to the fish. If it wasn’t for the lemon to squeeze, the meal would have been too dry. Otherwise, the flavor was excellent, just the risotto needs to be “
“Sweetie, Midtown Ceviche took me straight to the streets of Spanish America! ??The lobster roll was like a symphony of flavors, and that Maracuya drink? Pure sunshine in a glass! They've got that homemade touch that makes every bite feel like a taste of home. A must-visit spot, no doubt!?“
“In my opinion best seafood in the valley pulpo braseado straight up ??, I tried the aguachile divorciado plate with Tostitos green and purple ,love it my wife got the same thing with avocado and a michelada , the baja tacos is a must try. Can wait to be “
“My favorite poke in the McAllen area. Been coming for years and I love to mix it up with the variety of proteins, toppings, and sauces. The house sauce is awesome. ?? Just a heads up though, there's been an older lady working lately and she ALWAYS under serves the base AND protein. I usually have to get double servings of the protein just to get anywhere close to what the other staff give.“
“We've never had a bad experience with any Muelle 37 restaurant. Food is excellent. Can't go wrong with the tostadas de ceviche, sopa de mariscos, or the chicharron de pescado. Great service all the time and free food and dessert if it's your birthday that same day. This location is perhaps the most spacious one in the valley.“
“Try the shrimp & fish plate... It was phenomenally tasty, with sweet tea & fries. Not pricey at all and the service was great. My wife & I are Planning to go back soon and try another dish menu... I'm sure that whatever we try we'll be tasty ?“
“Took a chance and tried this place since under new management and it’s great. The food has a great taste and the water isn’t from the faucet so their aguas frescas are delicious. I had the lemonade. Food is tasty and not super greasy at all. Staff is very friendly. Will definitely come again.“
“I had dinner here with a large group of veterans, which can quickly become hectic. All the entrees ordered were great and had plenty of flavor. My steak was perfectly cooked and the flavor was outstanding. I didn't get the servers' names but they were awesome and kept checking on us. To end the night we had an assortment of desserts. My favorite was the carrot cake, but others raved about the cheesecake and chocolate cake. I will definitely be back.“
“Super enjoyable meal in a wonderful atmosphere that won't break the bank. The food was delicious. Homemade corn tortillas were a great accompaniment to the spicy Puntas. The history is an interesting read especially for El Pollo Loco fans. Definitely recommend.“
“This was a return trip to the Rio Grande Valley area, and I asked one of my friends who lived in the area for one of the best Mexican restaurants in town. He recommended Costa Messa and it was fantastic. I had beef ranchero, which was perfect. The portion was incredibly large and I was able to eat it again the following day. I’m definitely going back. The staff was also fantastic. Checking up on me. I can see this is gonna be a regular place for meto dine“
“We always stop here when in the Pharr/McAllen area. They make the best Don Julio Reposado Margarita in the country, even better than the original location in Laredo. The service, the food (especially the charro beans), and the atmosphere are top-notch.“
“Never been here but it had kool groovy vibes!! Made reservations just in case. Wise idea! It's on the 2nd floor. Was sat near bar area, only 1 other table n a couple at bar. Friendly young male server, prompt, polite n respectful. Get ready to blow some serious money at this place. I believe it was $24 for a thin cut of fajita. You know as well as I do, that's literally the cheapest cut of meat. Food portions are na ting to write home about. Grab a burger or sandwich before you get here! I haven't had hookah in a while and was in a jovial mood; take some extra underwear: $100 just for that!! Someone sakelow dispacio!! Inside got packed real quick, big party in attendance as well. If you're perhaps looking to "impress" a valley taco girl, this'll do it IF not save a ton of money and hit up Logan's!! Total bill that night for this place- $350.“
“I'm a person that loves to explore every mom and pop or non corporate restaurants in the area and this one that never disappoints. I have gone to the pharr location and nothing but quality comes out out of their kitchen. This was the first time I got something from their McAllen location and it keeps up identically with the original location. Freshness, quickness and top notch quality is what this company produces time and time again. If you want freshness and good food, estray no more. Do it. You reading this review, go and get this epicness!! Got my order to go and it was just as good as when I have them in the building!“
“Food is great but can’t say the same about customer service. Table of four and our food took over an hour to get to our table. Waitress was distracted having long conversations with manager instead of doing her job. Will definitely go back but will ask for a different waiter.“
“Good fish and shrimp, and a good burger, the steamed fish I believe could have used some more flavor, but I do understand they might do this so you could add the level of flavor yourself so as not to be to strong in which case the only option is to return it.“
“Great place, good size variety of seafood. Fresh fish on the daily, the earlier you go the better..red Snapper, black drum, all size shrimp, live blue crab, squid, calamari, mix bag of seafood, ect... everything is wild caught in Gulf of Mexico. No farm raised, the salesman confirmed.“
“I love this small restaurant. The General Tso's is my favorite from all the places I have tried. The taste never disappoints me. The Teriyaki is good as well. The price has gone up, but they serve you a good portion and the staff is friendly. I always have leftovers.“
“The restaurant is small but the food is great. The fish chicharrónes are lightly breaded and they taste even better with their super spicy sauce. On cold days I like to get their seafood soup that comes with delicious white steamed rice (yes, their rice flavourful). The other items on the menu are also well done; you cannot go wrong when selecting anything from the menu. Service and price are good as well. I haven't had a bad experience.“
“My wife and I recently dined at Hacienda Las Mariposas, and our first impression was good. The venue itself has an elegant vibe to it, reminiscent of an old-fashioned, swanky Spanish homestead -- a place one does not go to parade their disdain for proper etiquette by wearing torn jeans or failing to remove their hat indoors. Suffice it to say, we had equally high expectations of the food and service. They did not disappoint. We ordered the mixed botana for two, and it was easily one of the best we have had in the RGV. The presentation was excellent, the fajita was tender and juicy, and the trimmings were packed with flavor. Our side dish of choriqueso was tasty as well, and the complimentary cheesecake (we were celebrating our 34th wedding anniversary) was the best we had in years. The whole table was a feast for the eyes, to say nothing of the palate, and the portions were such that we had plenty of leftovers at the end. Our waiter, I should note, was very attentive from the moment we arrived until the moment we left, offering us something like the royal treatment - as my wife put it - and in so doing earned our manifest appreciation (read generous tip.) Granted, it was not the busiest time of day, but for that reason alone the best time for dining there. All in all, we enjoyed the restaurant. We found it to be a perfect choice for the occasion, and I can see it becoming one of our favorite haunts. We might even dine on the patio next time, the views from which are nice enough to fill the pages of a scenic wall calendar. Give the place a try. We highly recommend it.“
“It was a huge struggle between 3 and 4 stars. I settled on 4 because I know I'll be back. Please do something about your nachos. I ordered the nachos supreme for $10 and added fajita for another $6 and I'll never order that again. The owner/manager should to go Republic of the Rio Grande and order their nachos for $17...that's how they should taste. The service was very mediocre. Drinks sat at the bar, had to ask for water twice, slightly too long between check-ins. Like I said, mediocre. I can live with that, but my tip will reflect that. Not doing the 20% the app defaults to.“
“Pretty good .A whole fish and a plate of 3 pieces of pork rinds and 3 pieces of shrimp with potatoes and 2 soft drinks were approximately 40 dollars. The shrimp and fish crackling don't have as much flavor. The whole fish was pretty good. The consumption they give at the beginning is very good, as is the rice ? the most delicious thing was the white rice and the consumption ❤️“
“I was in heaven... the food was ecstasy to my mouth... way better than Ambra... and you actually don't have to share a bathroom with the opposite sex... that's just gross... no offense to the opposite sex... but the bathroom at LA Costa could use some renovation and a bit more polishing to match the rest of the high quality... brutally honest review.. sorry not sorry.. support local..“
“If you ever want to feel like you're on the beach enjoying ceviche or fish tacos, this is the place to go. Their ceviche is top notch, the service is always fast and friendly. This is definitely one of the best places to get ceviche aside from south padre. I don't even like seafood but i love this place. I highly recommend the tositos verdes ceviche. It is pricy but you get what you pay for.“
“Got this place as a recommendation from a friend in college, I was amazed at how good the food is here! I go once a week for the #2 combo of ceviche tostadas because they're that good. The ladies are always nice and provide my family and I great service when we dine in, and the price is fair given that mariscos are always expensive. If you are thinking about mexican seafood, this is 100% the place.“
“The food is great my only complaint is the workers not being sanitary. A young girl was putting sweet potato chips in my bowl a couple fell on the counter and she procededed to get them off the counter and put them into my bowl which is nasty. She then proceded to place a fork on my bowl at checkout takes it out places it on the counter (she was taking my bowl to the back to get the shrimp on there ) and when she came back with my bowl she was about to put that same fork that was sitting on the counter back into my bowl before i kindly advised I would just grab another. I was not to happy about that.“
“This place is the best place for seafood in the Valley. The seafood is fresh and the portions are a good size for the price. They have specials at lunch time and their consommé is full of pieces of fish and shrimp. Of course, be careful with the habanero sauce, it does sting. The service has always been excellent and if you're lucky there's even mariachi on the weekends. So if you like seafood, come and enjoy a shrimp cocktail or some fish fillets. You will not regret it. And don't forget to try their cucumber lemonade!Postscript: Last Sunday my parents went to enjoy some lunch specials. My mom, as always, didn't finish the 3 steaks that came with the order because she filled up on the broth. He asked for a little box to take them with him but he forgot to take it and left it on the table. On their way home they realized it and returned to the restaurant. My dad went down to ask about the box and the waitress informed him that she had just thrown it in the trash. We understand that they can't store food for hours, but they came back as soon as they realized it on the way home (we don't live far from there either). He only included it as a suggestion that please wait a little while before throwing away a takeout container in case the customer returns for the food they already paid for. Thank you.“
“The food was delicious I had the mini tacos ? but everything served was tasty. I agree there’s definitely not enough seating. Our waiter was so attentive! He made our experience so pleasant. If you’re thinking of coming make sure it’s not peak hours. Not sure what that is but at 2:30pm on Good Friday this place was lit.“
“It was our first time at the restaurant. It came highly recommended by friends. It was a bright, happy atmosphere, very clean and modern.Wheelchair accessibility: Nice wide entrance. Handicap parking is right at the front door. Aisle between tables were spacious enough for wheelchairs.“
“This place has an amazing blend of seafood and Mexican. The food is great, the staff are attentive and the vibes make me feel like I'm back at grandmas house. My favorite thing to get while I'm there is the shrimp quesadillas. They're my absolute favorite comfort food and when paired with a limonada, nothing else compares.“
“First time here, I gotta say the food was good, didn't know all the variety of fish they had and for the price it was decent. A variety of alcohol as well, nto to bad, a little on the small size the restaurant in while but seems to fit a good amount of people and has an outside patio to eat as well. Our waitress Caori, was very helpful, would come again for an event with my family or work events. Edna the manager was also very helpful as well, much appreciated.“
“One of our favorite locally owned restaurants. The best taco salad in the RGV. My husband drools at the thought of going just because he loves her Chile reillno so much. Their breakfast tacos are tasty especially because of the fresh tortillas. Everything is so authentic. Great vibe in the restaurant. Just good hard-working folks enjoying a nice meal. Makes you feel like when you were a kid in someone specials kitchen. Always get service with a smile. Whether it’s one of the girls or the young man. Everyone is so friendly and kind.“
