“I'm not exaggerating when I say this is my favorite place to eat in San Antonio. Located near the airport in a tucked away location, RO-HO Pork & Bread is a hidden gem. This is comfort food at it's finest. Ro-Ho has many great things on the menu, but they are best known for their Torta Ahogada, and it's what I get almost every time. The torta is always hot, the carnitas cooked to perfection, and the tomato salsa is to die for. You can get the torta with straight carnitas or you can mix it up with carnitas, pork stomach and skin, which is what I usually get. The torta also comes with cabbage, onion, radish and lime. No matter how you order it, it's going to be great! The place is super cool, with Mexican artwork and music. There is inside seating and an outside covered patio as well. Everything you can get to drink from the cold case is always ice cold. And they serve one of my favorite Mexican beers, Victoria. Chef Rojo is often around and greets customers. The ladies that work the register and food line are so friendly, and will answer questions if it's your first time. The place fills up quickly at lunch, so keep that in mind. I drive clear across town for my Torta Ahogada fix, if that says anything! Check this place out!“

“Arrived early, 635 am, to Tacos N Salsa Mexican Cafe on 1604 to order 21 breakfast burritos. I greeted the first worker, setting up tables along the outside of the store, with a "Good morning"...her reply was, "we are not open yet" and locked the door behind her. I laughed and waited outside. The burritos were exceptional and well priced.“

“Another great meal at La Fonda. We shared the "Chip & Dip" platter (excellent guacamole, queso, an a spicy ,smoky, fresh salsa). My wife had the Fajita Enchilada platter (very good and far larger than she could eat at one sitting). I had the Tamale platter (two pork + 1 jalapeño and cheese) which was simple and very good (loved the Charro bean accompaniment). Our drinks (Santa Margarita and Red Pear Sangria) were both excellent and refreshing. Service was attentive but not intrusive; the noise level in the room was high due to several large parties and the acoustics of the secondary indoor room at the restaurant.“

“This is loaded birria fries. They also have Asada, Al Pastor, Pollo/Chicken, picadillo, and more. Be sure to get both sauces as well. The Birria is a brisket style meat that I've never had on loaded fries but It'll be an option from here on out. This plate comes with nachos cheese and mozzarella cheese as well.“

“Visited Mezquite recently - overall a nice vibe and a great atmosphere. The tacos were a bit disappointing though; they had very little meat and were served a little cold. Still, the ambiance made it an enjoyable visit, and I’d be open to giving it another try.“

“Ernesto, the owner greeted us and was very polite. He even made a menu suggestion which ended up being absolutely wonderful. He made me and my coworker feel very much at home and serviced us shortly before closing with a smile on his face no complaints and much eagerness to impress us as customers. 10 out of 10 I will definitely come back.“

“Welll I didn’t even get to take photos we gobbled our food and enreden in FOOD COMA JAJAJA this food was sooo authentic feels like we drove to mexico the chicharrón prensado was sooo delish the one that really got us was the FRIJOL WITH VENENO… I can go on and on but it’s best to try for yourself the customer service was a HUGE PLUS !“

“We came all the way from Leon Valley to try Maria’s Cafe, and it was absolutely worth the drive! This little hole-in-the-wall spot has such a homey, welcoming atmosphere that makes you feel comfortable the moment you walk in. It was our first time eating here, and we were so impressed.
They made our food exactly the way we wanted it, paying attention to every detail and making sure everything was just right. You can really tell they care about their customers and take pride in what they serve.
We’ll definitely be coming back for more. If you’re looking for a cozy place with great food and friendly service, Maria’s Cafe is a must-try!“

“Used them for a teacher luncheon and they delivered to our school. The elevator was broken and the two ladies carried trays and huge coolers up 2 high flights of stairs at least 7 times up and down. I get exhausted going up once. They had the most pleasant attitude.The food was delicious and the presentation of the trays and warmers was perfect! The next day they came out and picked everything up. Thank you Liz and ladies for your excellent food and service. Will definitely call you guys again!!! I'll make sure the elevator is working! 😉“

When we first arrived wasn’t busy but people started coming in.
Usually a restaurant has its subtle specialties but here everyone was really good. We tried, chicharron (thick and not soggy), sausage ranchero, migas taco, kids pancake breakfast, and bean and cheese. The refried beans take bean and cheese taco to next level.
We also tried menudo(waiter let us try since we already ordered, amazing flavor and will order next time.“

“Listen I love las palapas, out of all the jawns in SA I always have to stop here when in town... the coffee, the chorizo and egg with a side of carne guisada never disappoints and the service is usually friendly.. fresh tortillas and great salsas to compliment it all!“
