“I kept driving by this place. I looked it up and has great reviews. I finally had time to stop by for a late dinner. Family owned hole, in the wall restaurant. I had the pleasure to meet David. Him and his mom were very welcoming and friendly. I tried the Fish & Shrimp w/ Fries. 10/10 recommend. Freshly made to order. The sauces are made in house, the tartar and Katrina sauce were both delicious. I will definitely be back with my family.“

“This is a small eating place not far from the DonWes flea market on the opposite side of Business 83. Food is very good, and they have some great specials! We especially like the fried shrimp and Basa fish plates! The soup is excellent, too! Everyone we have taken there likes it!“

“I ordered the fried fish and boy was it good. It didn't taste like it came from a frozen for-days box... it tasted like they had just fished it out from the ocean. “We had heard about this place that they have very good seafood and with my craving for fresh fried fish that I haven't been satisfied anywhere here in the mid-valley, so we stopped there and found out.... and boy did it satisfy it. Now I took off one star cuz the environment needs a little fixing. A lil facelift here and there and it will look classy to go wit the meals. Their presentation of the food was impressive.“

“Casa de Marisco is a staple in Weslaco. Don't let the name fool you. It isn't just seafood they serve here. But they have an awesome shrimp cocktail and the Tierra y Mar dishes are an awesome choice for those who want fried shrimp and fish while also hitting the spot for the chicken and beef fajitas. I always recommend it when asked for a good place to eat. This is my botana place. The botanita (for one) easily feeds 2 or 3. So much food. It's been a while since I've dined in but I see some familiar faces and they've always had great service. KEEP IT UP GUYS!!!“

“I've always thought LJS is a good deal. The food was good, the service was expected and the old school feel of this location gives it a 4 star. The ice machine was not working nor was there any tea available. Not big things since I was in no hurry. The outside the building needs to be cleaned up and refurbished, a fresh/clean look. Don't change the building style though.

Dietary restrictions: Many forget the LJS added to their menu awhile back. There are some Lite items if you are trying to watch your calories.

Kid-friendliness: Definitely for kids as it is a great way to try fish or other seafood. Also they still give out their pirate hats!“
