“Turning Point is one of our favorite breweries in the DFW area and we make it a point to to stop in anytime we are in the area visiting family. Having visited breweries across the US, one thing that is usually lacking in quality 99% of the time is food. I am not sure how long Godspeed has been serving up their delicious BBQ at Turning Point but the brewery should do everything they can to retain them. Godspeed has some of THE BEST brisket I have ever had in my life. It was melt in your mouth good and the bark was perfection. They have bbq sauce available but this is one of those times you should let the meat speak for itself and savor the flavor of it on its own before you douse it in sauce. I promise you will thank me later for this. Also, the beans were FANTASTIC!!! I can understand if y’all don’t want to share the recipe but they were some of the best beans I have ever had! We were hoping to find some fantastic BBQ on our visit and decided to end our at at Turning Point. Who knew we would find some of the best BBQ we have ever had in our entire lives??? The family that runs it is super friendly too. Shout out to the owner’s Dad who was so kind and generous with his time chatting us up! “I love this place. Texas is usually wet bbq, but they make dry rub ribs here that are amazing. We had brisket (sliced and a chopped sandwich), ribs, hot links, and 1 of every side. Everything here is great. Best little dive bbq joint in Texas.“

“Discovered this place by accident and we are so pleased we found them! They’ve been in business for 97 years and are family owned. I had the burnt ends, and green beans, which were delicious! My husband had a chopped beef sandwich, which was excellent. Jody, the manager, was so welcoming and helpful with menu suggestions. We’ll definitely be back!

“I wanted to comment on what good portion sizes they have here. I've eaten here several times and have thoroughly enjoyed my food I also think they have a very good work ethic because the owner answers the phone on occasion.“

“This Rudy's location is consistently good. I like their smoked potatoes loaded with turkey or pork loin. Pulled pork sandwiches are good as well. Rudy's does not have a fryer, so no fries or fried okra, but lots of other sides to choose from. I bought a bottle of their Sissy Sause to take home.“
