“Just moved to the area and I love this spot super nice owner down to earth & he said he has been in business as long as I have been alive 28 years. Food is hot and fresh made to order open kitchen so you can watch him prepare your order. I also like how he is super helpful with questions or substitutions and the drive-thru is a nice touch. Some would say the interior is dated but I would say it has a charm to it. I will definitely be back to try other food here I had the jalepeno double double burger & spicy fried chicken sandwich both huge, hot, & fresh with perfectly seasoned crinkle cut fries with a side of bbq & hot sauce.“

“Hidden gem!! We dined-in during our trip over Memorial Day 2021 and we were surprised with how delicious the food was. The salsa that came with the chips & salsa was super flavorful but not overly spicy. Their crab balls are Amazeballs!! You HAVE to order them! So yummy! Best I’ve had anywhere. The Cajun seafood pasta is delicious and is served in a massive portion that can easily be split between 2 people. Generous serving with lots of shrimp, sausage, and chicken. The fried pickles were fantastic. Sharp dills, great thickness, light batter. I ordered a side of red beans & rice as my main dish and it has a great texture and a hint of tart vinegar...would be best paired with cornbread or the amazing crab balls. I had a regular margarita on the rocks. It was ok. It was the most mediocre thing we ordered...so you KNOW the food is good. The music is great. We were here on Saturday from 8:30-10pm and the playlist was a great mix of Motown jams. 10/10 would recommend The Fish Place. We Absolutely recommend dining at this hidden gem!“

Chef Joe Cervantez culinary skills result in delicious food from appetizers, entree to desserts! Our waiter was extraordinary and was so kind and polite. “Despite a terrible experience I had at this restaurant from a very horrible waitress with a nasty attitude, the manager, Charlie Bowie really stepped in and took the correct approach necessary to resolve this issue for me and took it in consideration that something like this would never happen again. Based on my conversation with him, he really values customer service. Which makes me want to go back and eat there again in the near future. “Great little spot to sit on the patio and enjoy a breeze. Had some fun live music. Margaritas were strong and overall just a neat place. Gumbo is a very dark and thick roux. Nice assortment of grilled oysters. Oysters Gilhooley are the best IMO - keep it simple.“

“First it tastes like a homemade burger!!!!!! It had enough bacon to cut to cover the whole bun!!!!!! The bacon was thick and delicious!!!!!! In the meat taste like 100% beef!!!! But it needed a little more seasoning.... The bun was toasted well on both sides I could even taste the butter. The fries were obviously real from real potatoes but they weren't crunchy enough they weren't firm but they were okay... The best part the beef if you want to know where the beef is they have the beef... Five stars from me. WORTH TRYING OUT......“

“I have been eating here for so many years. The Best Catfish in the Greater Houston/Galveston area. I have since moved away from Dickinson, but I come to see Ms. Lily once a month and still get the "All You Can Eat Catfish." A MUST when in the area or traveling to Galveston. 5 stars all the way...they treat you like family.“
