“My wife and I have been to Tias Taco hut before over on Babcock had great service. Today we tried Tias on Blanco by Churchchill High School on Blanco, I had order beef enchiladas the waitress brought me cheese enchiladas she even said who ordered the beef beef enchiladas, as I cutted into the enchiladas it was cheese , I had told the lady I order beef she no you order the cheese , the showed me the ticket what she wrote down , but I didn't want cause a seen but I told I said beef and my wife know I said beef. but the lady didn't offered to fix so I ate it anyways because the food is good, so I'll give a rating to this location a 7 for now.“

“I grew up in San Antonio. La Fonda was my favorite restaurant as a child. Back then there were multiple locations around the city. Now there are only two, Alamo Heights, and this one which is in Monte Vista. The food is heavenly. The atmosphere is sublime. Service: exceptional. If you don’t eat TexMex anywhere else while in town you should make time for a late afternoon lunch at La Fonda on Main. It’s in a league of its own. ❤️“

The bean and cheese, while also good wasn't as flavorful as beans I've had elsewhere. The carne guisada and cheese was the best taco for sure. It's a bit of nitpicking, but the meat wasn't quite as tender as compared to other spots and the tortillas overall were on the chewy side. That being said, I really enjoyed this spot and would definitely return for more breakfast tacos as well as to try all the other options on their menu. 4.2 out of 5“

“I love this place. Especially on Mondays-mini taco plate with a sweet tea is $9.99. Hard to beat. Great flavor, large portion size, feels almost like a hole in the wall place. My coworker actually told me about this place and we came here after our nightshift. I was surprised this place opens at 530am... So early! But you have to come early or they'll sell out. There were already other people coming in as well.

You can buy the barbacoa in two different ways so I got one pound of each. I also got some big red to go with it (apparently a must), corn tortillas, pico de gallo, and hot sauce.

The barbacoa literally melts in your mouth!!! I ate almost all of the two pounds myself lol.

The broth is so good I'm saving it to poor over my beans and rice tomorrow. I will be returning.“
