“Afraid to leave this review, because there will be lines out the door when the word gets out. But Earnest is such a good dude, and and he deserves all the success that comes hia way. Everything we tried was simply the best. This is our family's new favorite bbq place.“
“Yet another Lewisville hidden gem!! If you love barbecue, you must try this place out, everything was so delicious! We got the corn and mac and cheese as our sides and they were top tier, I highly recommend. I also got the pulled pork sandwich, the meat was stacked high and was tender. When we got there, a man was playing live music and it really added to the vibes. Lastly if you come on a friday or saturday they give you a free cinnamon roll with your meal if you dine in. This was a 5/5 experience and we will be back!“
“We had to wait in line for 45 min and it was worth every second. I went with my girlfriend who was cold in the rain but we both agreed it was amazing. We loved the texas size jalapeño poppers called the texas twinkie, brisket is almost melt in yout mouth, and my girlfriend gobbled up the green beans like no tomorrow. It's not cheap but if you know that going in you won't be disappointed.Parking: This place is super popular so parking can be a good indication of the wait you are going to have. Still worth it.“
“Everything was so fresh & tender. I had a feeling the food wouldn't be as delicious as the reviews, but I was wrong. I enjoyed the brisket, smoked turkey, baked beans & the mac & cheese. The banana pudding was so yummy, creamy & fluffy. My only critics are the Mac & cheese noodles are cook al dente. I think it should be cooked just a few seconds more to soften them up a bit. The banana pudding could use a bit less banana flavoring. I dot care for the toast either. The butter/oil taste very cheap.I would love to see an addition of collard greens or smothered green beans added to the menu. Some type of veggie fresh/ raw would be great besides the onion slices.“
“We planned to have Hutchins BBQ for lunch but the line was long so we looked for other BBQ to joints in the area and to my surprise there is a Tender Smokehouse close by. I’ve been wanting to try tender for years . I’m not sure how new the Frisco location is but there was no line and we got right in to order. The Customer service was top notch. We didn’t want or wait for anything. There was always someone asking if we needed anything. We had the fatty brisket, pulled pork, pork ribs, and jalapeño sausage. All were amazing! For sides we had potato salad, mac and cheese, bbq beans, and banana pudding. All were really good! I never eat the plain white bread at bbq spots but Tender has buttered toast that I kept eating.I’m definitely glad Hutchins was busy and I found Tender Smokehouse.“
“teriyaki chicken is my go to dish from a lot of places we go and without question, Shaka Hawaiian is hands-down the very best! I drive 15 minutes for takeout on a regular basis.I always only get the teriyaki chicken however, my son loves their fried fish and shrimp. We have eaten here at least a dozen times and each time is consistently exemplary. The customer service is also impeccable . always friendly, always very fast and always delicious! (sounds like a commercial I know but is is true)“
“I ordered the beef noodles. SOO good, I ordered it to go and it came piping hot with a side of kimchi. The noodles are creamy and silky texture! Love that! The broth is good quality but those noodles steal the show. Their kimchi is also really good. One of the best restaurant kimchi’s.“
“The customer service at this place is great. Everyone is friendly and helpful. The brisket is delicious. The portions for the brisket sandwich are a bit scant. It could be because I had sliced brisket instead of chopped, but there could've been at least 2 more pieces. Same goes with the "PPO", just a touch more pickles/peppers/onions to fix the sandwich ratio. The mac & cheese itself is okay, it's saving grace is the brisket mixed in which elevates the dish's overall flavor. All in all, I'd definitely come back to try a few other things on the menu.“
“During my work trip to Lewisville, I hit up this awesome smokehouse a few times for lunch. It's got that cozy vibe, you know? And the smoked meat? Off the charts! I'm talking juicy brisket, fall-off-the-bone ribs, and flavorful pulled pork. Every bite was like a flavor explosion. And the service? Lightning fast! Even when it was packed, the staff was on it. Super friendly too. They made sure we had everything we needed without any fuss.Overall, if you're ever in Lewisville and craving some killer smoked grub with a side of top-notch service, this place is a must-visit. Trust me, you won't regret it!Parking: A lot parking spot“
“Ate there for the first time today and let me tell you. Food was superb and our server Pete was phenomenal. I had the chicken fried steak and boy was it huge. I able to actually eat off it three times. Also had the wings and they were delicious as well.“
“We got the sandwich special. I had the chopped brisket, and to be honest I wasn't impressed. With all the good things I had heard about their BBQ, I was prepared for greatness, but it was just another chopped beef sandwich. Sorry guys!“
“Found this place by chance but what a wonderful find! From the decor to the wait staff we felt very welcome and comfortable. The waiter was attentive yet not overbearing.. the food was pleasantly Delicious and worth every cent. Definitely recommend.“
“On Sunday, we had a photo shoot next door to this place and of course arrived early. My daughter was “starving” and I decided to try out this place based on reviews. We ordered her a kids Brisket Sandwich and Mac n cheese to go. We actually shared it and it filled both of us up which is shocking because kids meals are normally so small. Ps…we tore everything apart and mixed it with the Mac and bbq sauce and OMG MOUTH WATERING. Lol. They even toast the buns! It was like our own bbq bowl.Service is ON POINT. I’m talking teenagers with manners and great customer service and great attitude! SO SWEET! We come from Frisco and don’t come to Lake Dallas, but I plan to come back just to try this place with the whole family! Prices were decent too and in my opinion I think this place is better than Hutchins.I normally take pics of all my meals but didn’t get the chance this time. So now I really have to go back so I can update this post with a photo! Thank you CTBBQ!“
“Love this place! A very nice, local, mom and pop shack perfect for tourists looking for local Texas bbq without an expensive price tag! You pay for food, that's it. Their brisket is very flavorful and moist. Sausages as well. Sides are delicious. I love the sauce they give with it. Definitely would come back for more. We order the Hebron special to make a taste of everything and I share it with my husband. Only negative review I could give is their ribs are mildly dry. But the rest is great! Good bang for the buck, delicious, and local ?“
“GREAT EXPERIENCE! FOOD/ATMOSPHERE/ EXCEPTIONAL SERVICE BY JOVANI! THIS YOUNG MAN WAS ON TOP OF OUR NEEDS,VERY MINDFUL/PLEASANT ATTITUDE/GREAT SMILE! FOOD IS ALWAYS ON POINT! ID ABSOLUTELY RETURN TIME AND TIME FOR THE FOOD...BUT,MOST DEFINITELY FOR THE SERVICE ,ID MOST LIKELY ASK FOR JOVANI ,NICELY DONE!“
“Babyy when I tell yall I am so glad I came across this black owned BBQ joint in Frisco, yall just don’t know the half! Up until now, I thought Hutchins was as good as it gets but boy was I wrong! They DO barbecue, ok?! I’m talking family reunion/cookout barbecue! This was the three meat plate featuring the ribs, sausage and brisket. For sides I chose baked beans and dirty rice. I cleaned my plate! I was so shocked as to how tender and seasoned everything was! If you’re looking for quality BBQ that’s not boiled ? look no further! They are only open Saturday/Sunday at the Frisco farmers market. Early arrival is HIGHLY suggested!“
“I recently visited Gopchang Story in Carrollton and I have to say, it was an amazing experience. I'm a huge fan of Korean BBQ and I tend to choose a restaurant based on the quality of meat, service, and ambiance. Before visiting this location, I've dined in their LA, NYC, Seoul, and Daegu branches. Our server, Hailey, was super friendly and welcoming. She gave us great recommendations and made us feel right at home. We tried the Prime Seasoned Short Rib, Duroc Marinated Pork Rib, and Duroc Pork Belly and it was all so delicious! Now, let's talk about the large intestine, or dehchang, which I'm not usually a fan of. But, this restaurant does it right! It was cooked perfectly and had a soft grill with some veggies on the side. Hailey even soaked up the fat using bread, which I thought was a brilliant idea.Lastly, we had the Chef's special dessert, which was a refreshing fruit dish with microgreens on top. It was so pretty and tasted amazing. Honestly, I would come back to this restaurant just for Hailey's amazing service. If you're a fan of Korean BBQ, you've got to check out Gopchang Story!“
“I ordered two bowls of ramen yesterday for lunch via DoorDash. I actually had heard of this place but didn’t bother to really check it out since I feel like there are so many ramen places that are competitors that offer the same things. So basically I almost overlooked this spot but decided to go for it on a whim since I was curious. I was pleasantly surprised since I opted for the create your own ramen and just that was awesome - the ability to create your own ramen AND they offer *chicken miso*. I think I’m a fan now since I honestly don’t like pork or pork-based anything so I usually avoid ramen. But I think the chicken miso is something I will come back for! I only took off one star since I felt the broth was a bit too salty (kept having to drink a lot of water) so please consider a low sodium option.“
“When my garage door cable snapped, I contacted this company, and they provided a cost-effective repair. Their technician replaced the cable promptly, ensuring proper operation at an affordable price. I commend their skillful workmanship and reasonable pricing.“
“Great experience and this place is a hidden gem. Excellent brisket and sausage. Pulled pork was good too. Turkey was ok. The sides are difference makers. Surprise side dishes were the cauliflower and the fried green tomatoes. We went with a group and got to try a little bit of everything. Elote, okra and cauliflower were my favorite sides. Mac and cheese was ok. Will definitely be going back to try the Brisket grilled cheese with cauliflower as a side.Parking: Lots of free parking .“
“From the moment we walked, we were greeted by staff. The gentleman who served our food was very nice, after that we were greeted by the cashier guy and he as well was very nice. After eating for a while. A women came to greet us and asked if we needed anything else and that was so nice of her ! Later on a staff member offered use fresh bread. Definitely will be coming back! Love this location!!“
“Big Jacks is the most underrated BBQ in DFW. Moist chicken and brisket, wonderful sides; and the service is always great too. Just a small bbq in the middle of Lewisville. But after living in DFW for eight years now, I can say with 100% certainly Big Jacks is one of the best.“
“We have been getting food from J&M BBQ since they first started business, since before they even became a food truck. We have gotten brisket, sausage, beans, potato salad, pork, desserts and so much more and every time the food is spot on! During the holidays they take the time to even smoke turkeys and hams! We haven't got to try a ham yet, but we got a turkey and it was amazing! Love everything about this establishment! Great flavor, great quality, and amazing customer service. They have so many options, make sure you try them out!“
“Want to start off by saying the wait staff were excellent. Very attentative and friendly. Food came out quick with very little wait. The food was good, brisket was a bit dry but good flavor. Mac n cheese and Corn was good, but nothing crazy special. That said, when walking down the Riverwalk it is like the only restaurant without its tables full of families and people. The place is marketed as upscale BBQ, the closest I can think of competition wise would be Marty B's. But the biggest gripe with it is price. The out the door price with tip and no drink for the food in the picture is $36. They need to offer some kind of plate with a 1/2 lbs of meat and two sides in the $19-22 range like their competition. The clientele around the Riverwalk is young adults, families with young children and some retirement aged individuals. None of which will repeatedly pay that much per person for BBQ. And I suspect that's why it's tables were empty even though every single one at Under Dogs and Piehole are full. The happy hour prices for drinks and apps I think are very fair. But BBQ and meal prices need some work.“
“I highly recommend it. Actually, I don't know why it doesn't have better opinions. It's very good. The service was very good and clean. It's difficult to have all the happy customers. Only in my family there are those who like juicy meat with a little fat and others totally without anything, cads person's palate is different personally I recommend it Jose and the cashier girl were very attentive and everything was delicious“
