“Good fresh Mexican food. Ordered the Pastor Quesadilla and was not disappointed. The meat was tender and flavorful, and the portion size for the price wasn't too bad for Austin. Only downside was the tacos were missing the onions and cilantro, but had salsa to make up for it a bit. Queso dip was a great size and not too bad tasting, chips were store bought nothing special. Overall worth a try if you're in the area“

“This is me and my girlfriend's favorite local joint. The food such as their pizzadilla and birria quesbirria are so large that you can eat in it for two days. For the money, that's a lot.

The food is very rich and the consome complements it well. Parking is easy, despite being around businesses on St. Elmo. The location gives it a very famiky friendly vibe with the tennis courts nextdoor.

The staff is always helpful and kind, they are bilingual which helps as well.“

We had the pork shank and the braised beef-they were prepared perfectly and paired with sides that were complementary to their distinct flavors. Spices local to the Oaxaca region of Mexico were blended in way that were flavorful without being overpowering. The wait staff was excellent, explaining each dish and answering questions. We highly recommend this restaurant. Yes, it’s pricier than other restaurants but is a fine dining experience that you won’t find in many other restaurants.“

“This place is great, I have gone here for breakfast and lunch before and it has yet to disappoint. The food is tasty, well portioned, and if you get it to go they come in these plastic containers with a secure lid that are really nice. Their huevos rancheros is the best I've ever had and the mole tacos are solid too, but I would suggest that you ask for two corn tortillas as mine completely fell apart.“

“While visiting Austin, I had such a great experience thanks to the two bartenders working that night( Chloe and Berk) From the moment I walked up, they were friendly, attentive, and made the bar feel welcoming without ever being overbearing. They took the time to chat, give great drink recommendations, and make everything perfectly.

“OMG! Hands down the best tacos I’ve had in Austin so far, and I’m always trying new spots!

The service was excellent, and the owner was super friendly and attentive. The taco truck is set up at a car wash, which actually made for some fun people-watching while we waited for our food. We ordered the steak tacos, and they were packed with flavor and came with generous portions of meat. The spicy sauce? Incredible!

Pros: The food is awesome, made fresh to order . I ordered the chicken fajita quesadilla, Birria & consume and chicken fajita tacos.. they were all so good I ordered more to take back with me.

Cons: It’s not kid/ teen/ family friendly place. It’s placed outside a night club called high noon . So it’s loud and lots of drunk folks. For those who drink it’s great you can order a couple beers to go with your food otherwise they won’t sell you any water,soda or pop.

Definitely go there for the tacos, if you are looking for an atmosphere & travelling with kids/ teen. It’s not the place for you“

I've had the birria, tripa, barbacoa, campechano, and pastor, but the buche is by far my favorite! They also have breakfast tacos to start your day off right. A MUST when you're in SoCo. ¡Gracias! “This place has a very friendly and welcoming environment. This was my first time here. I was impressed with the size of the menu, considering the size of the trailer. The lady in the window was very friendly and helpful and made a recommendation. So I ended up ordering the gordita plate and a torta with barbacoa. The order took about 10 minutes but it was worth the wait. My food was really hot and I was impressed with the quantity and quality. I would recommend this place to anyone 5 out of 5. Also try the mex. Cheese Burger.“

“The best old school Tex Mex in town. Fajitas are so much better than Chuys or Maudie’s. Then there are killer items like shrimp ala mexicana with chipotle and classic lengua. Green enchiladas crush the ones from other places. Margaritas are super tasty and there’s no better staff at this family run place. It’s all very reasonably priced. Can’t recommend it enough.“

“Hey, this is always my go-to choice for tacos whenever I have to eat some in Austin and all. Their locations have really high quality food and very spicy salsas. The menu is pretty much remembered in my head by now. I really like the mole stuff and also anything with chicken and hard to spell words like fernando fernandino. You'll see once you go in order. Welcoming establishment with very good customer service. **Update 11-29-2025** These are still my all time favorite enchiladas. I get the dos enchiladas, cheese with red sauce. I believe they use their red salsa as the sauce. Its flavorful and a bit spicy. They use a soft white cheese for the filling. The balance of the ingredients is perfection. The rice (i prefer the white rice that has a dash of diced carrots, corn and peas) and refried beans make the perfect meal. Curras Grill Oltorf is as consistent as they come. I'll definitely return when on this side of town.“
