“My family and I celebrated my mom’s 70th birthday at Truluck’s in Southlake, and the experience was outstanding from start to finish.
We had a reservation for 7:15 PM for a fairly large group of nine people. Our table wasn’t quite ready when we arrived because the party before us needed a little extra time, and since we were a big group there weren’t many tables that could accommodate us. The manager, Mike, came over personally to apologize for the delay and told me he wanted to make sure my mom had a memorable birthday celebration.
We were seated around 7:30 PM—honestly only about 15 minutes late, which didn’t bother me at all—but Mike insisted on sending complimentary appetizers while we waited. I told him it wasn’t necessary, but he very politely insisted. To our surprise he sent six appetizers: two shrimp cocktails, two crab cakes, and two orders of calamari. It was incredibly generous and such a classy gesture.
Our server Kyle was spectacular. He was friendly, attentive, and handled a table of nine with ease. Service like that makes a big difference, and he absolutely delivered.
The food and wine were phenomenal. The seafood was incredibly fresh and the steaks were excellent. I had the shrimp and scallop sauté and added an 8 oz filet because I couldn’t decide—no regrets. The Parker House rolls were a massive hit with the table (buttery, warm, slightly crisp on the outside), and we ended up ordering four baskets.
To top off the evening, they surprised us with two complimentary Baked Alaska desserts that were big enough for the entire table to share—not just the birthday girl.
I can’t say enough about how well Mike and Kyle treated our family. They went above and beyond to make my mom’s 70th birthday special.
Truluck’s Southlake is now our go-to spot for special occasions. We’ll absolutely be back.“

He single handed brought me back here time and time again because of his martini skills & customer service...took a bit to find the right order but the Grilled Artichoke or Calamari are great starters followed by the Pineapple Fried Rice with Grilled Salmon🔥 Oh and Wine Wed is amazing with 50% off wine bottles!“

“This was my first visit and we really enjoyed Mac's on Main. It's a great brunch spot and they have a variety of Benedicts to choose from. I had the smoked salmon Benedict and it was wonderful. The service was great too....we shall return!“

We elected to sit at a booth and I was very happy they sat us at a half moon booth with tons of room. Our food server, Sarah, was amazing from the start. Filled with enthusiasm and knowledge. “The shrimp and scallop orecchiette pasta was amazing as well as the service, I didn't really expect too much from a restaurant residing in an airport, but they definitely delivered. If all other items are just as good, I would have thought this is food from a fancy seafood restaurant by a pier or beach or something. I thought it was courteous of them to have the servers ask their customers what time they're boarding their flights so they can prioritize which meals to get out first. My server was Dylan and he was exceptional as well with the energy and attitude he's got going. Overall a good experience while having my layover in DFW!“

“We decided to give this place a shot for my wife's birthday lunch. We were not disappointed. The food was so fresh with terrific portion sizes and was at the perfect temperature making the crab easy to crack open but not over cooking the crab meat.

Our waitress was quite nice and attentive with no waiting on refills, which is impressive for the amount of water my wife was downing.

“I always get my order To-Go but the inside of the restaurant is nice with a “balcony” type upstairs. The food is amazing!! I always go for the Buttery Garlic with the Poppyseed dressing for the salad. Make sure to ask for “no tails”.“

The waiter informed me that their special for the day was rainbow trout from Colorado. I decided to give it a try with grilled vegetables and a salad.

The appetizers scallops were amazing, the calamari was buttery and seasoned perfectly. The wine selection is good. The steaks were good but lacked tenderness and seasoning. Might have been an off evening as it wasnt the same delicious steaks as previous evenings.
Our waiter was amazing and provided everything needed for a fun time for our group of 10. Deserts were over the top. Huge portions and delicious.

“I went to Red Panda on Monday, 11-17-25. I had egg soup the first time I went and this was my second time going. I had the egg soup again and the chicken fried rice. It was simply delicious!! They served with excellence every customer. It was a pleasant relaxing environment as well. The music was just right and not too loud like some places you go too. People could sit and talk and enjoy their meal. I did the lunch special which is a savings!! I will be back!!“

Maybe it was the day and hour that we went but everything was missing a bit of flavor

Let’s start with the Oyster platter.. pico was fresh and it could’ve been better with more flavor..

Next up is the Tosti-Viche - I was thinking it was okay with more salsa that they had in the buckets.. 4/5 on that one

We also ordered Tacos Governador and Fish Platter.. they were alright.

Like I said, they need more flavors and seasoning.

If you’re in the mood for live music, this could be a good option, with the only exception that you’d have to come when there’s more ambiance.

This place needs more spices and better house salsas to give their food some life.

However! There’s a photographer that took our picture and she framed it for us. That was a sweet touch!- and yes you have to pay for it.

And I was NOT disappointed.
The service was excellent, the decor was cozy, and the food was divine. The miso soup was perfectly done, not too salty, not too bland, but nice and hearty. The chirashi bento was amazing. Instead of the usual meh salads they give you squid and seaweed salad which were delicious. The half tuna rolls were more tuna than rice and were fresh and delicious. And the chirashi was just heavenly. Each piece of sashimi was topped with its own seasoning to really bring out the flavor of the fish, complimented by the high quality rice and salmon roe underneath. I was so satisfied by the food I ordered dessert and got to taste the amazing tempura cheesecake. Though pricey, it was worth said price. I left the place full and happy and will be back. 10/10“
