“Management took extra care of me when they didn’t have to go out of their way to do so. I was waiting for my to-go order when the manager offered me a free soda cup for my wait. I was very happy with my experience at costa Vida in Highland!“

“Carne asada burrito was very good, and definitely 2 meals! I love the salsa and how the burrito is crispy on the outside. The owner was so very kind and helpful and a pretty fun atmosphere with a live singer. We will definitely go again and try more items.“

“BEST TACOS I've ever had. No question. I'm extremely picky about my Mexican food. These aren't hole-in-the-wall-restaurant-authentic (which is usually the very best kind of Mexican food), they are a thousand times better. Didn't even know it was possible for tacos to taste this amazing. More flavorful and crispy and interesting and DELICIOUS than any I've ever had!“

“Very good, better than I expected even with 4.7 stars. The free chips and salsa are the best I've had at a restaurant like this. We got the shrimp Baja tacos and the ceviche tostada with fish. The shrimp tacos were the best I had. I also liked the beans. The rice was average. The ceviche was less fish forward, but was still good. We went for an early dinner so it was empty. The building interior is nice.A little pricey, but good value.“

“Delicious food - everything we ate was amazing! The server recommended great options and we enjoyed it all. Excellent and very attentive service! We had a wonderful experience! Some of my favorite dishes include the Sugar Cane Filet and Chicken Tinga Tacos. The Butter Cake is well known and worth every bite!“

“Wonderful! First time there, primarily for the Mariachi performing group (Tuesdays 6-8). They were fantastic! It can be a little loud, but heh... they performed their first number for the entire restaurant, then proceeded to go around to the different tables and, if requested, perform a special number for the people at that table or booth. We found the food to be quite good as well. Service was perfectly fine. It can be difficult to hold conversations while they are singing, so next time, we might get there at maybe 530, enjoy our food and chat, and then enjoy the performing group for however long we like. Highly recommend this place for the excellent food and for the Mariachi band on Tuesday evenings.“

“It's the first place I've been to and I told them something that was wrong and they didn't bother. On the contrary, they gave me an extra for my food that I had asked for without words. It's a very cool place and apart from that, the food is very nice and friendly, for my taste, I'm kind of special. It is my favorite in seafood. I've been to those who are in Salt Lake but those don't even hit their heels, the rockers from Salt Lake are always in a bad mood “

“Excellent place, I didn't think eating at a gas station would be so good, the truth is that this place is really very good, the food the service, I don't want to detract from the business for being a gas station environment, that's why I did it I rate 4.5. Flavors that remind you of the house.“

“This place is never busy. Some friends suggested this place so we tried it out. No line to order and the food was really good. It has a drive through which is unique. The tortillas are amazing and portions are large so my wife and I shared a plate. And a small highlight for me was they have Sunkist on tap.“

“Delicious Mexican restaurant that many pass by. Was a little cold in the restaurant but the food by far made up for it. The food looks stunning and is very delicious. We ordered 2 tacos one de carnitas and the other de pastor along with one torta de lengua, food was one of the best I’ve had. They have a high variety salsa bar and the salsas there are truly spicy. Fast service and welcoming atmosphere loved coming here and will come again.“

“This is the best Mexican food I've had in Utah County! The food is delicious, the portions are filling, and the staff are incredibly kind. Dining in, the restaurant feels like fast food, but the staff treat you like it's fine dining. Take out, the food is boxed carefully and travels well. I love Gallo Giro!“

“First time visiting and I will definitely be coming back! My husband came by Don Joaquin's a few days ago and couldn't stop raving about it so I decided to join him there for lunch today.... let me tell you that I am so glad that I did! The restaurant is spacious, clean and they have some freezers with Popsicles, paletas and ice cream bars and fried doraditos by the ordering station. Menu is simple but sometimes that all you need right? I got the gringa combo, which has 3 tacos (al pastor, chicken and asada) with a drink and my husband got an asada burrito with a side of rice. I also got a slice of strawberry tres leches cake which was stellar! Every single bite was lovely; everything was flavored so well and was fresh! Definitely recommend if you are in the area - you won't be disappointed!“

“We were in SLC for a few days from Arizona and were hungry for Mexican. Mi Ranchito was highly rated, so we headed over at mid-afternoon. Immediately struck with how clean and inviting the dining area is. Friendly greeting, awesome service, and really delicious food. I loved the Carnitas Michoacanas. Good quality protein and fresh vegetables. Our server Nyrobis was pleasant, very helpful, and attentive.“
“Flavors of the tacos are incredible. And these tacos have heaps of meat on them. Carnitas and pastor are amazing as well as the birria and asada. The red sauce is pretty hot. I love the grilled onions and peppers that come with the plate! The price per taco is an absolute steal“

“I was pleasantly surprised at how nice this restaurant is. I really hope it stays that way because I will come back often if it does. I went through the drive-through and was treated very kindly. The food was also top notch, I will be coming back for the cheese enchiladas. I just wish they had completely melted the cheese inside, but otherwise it was amazing.“

“One of our favorites, the food is good but our last visit was a little disappointing. Probably not the fault of the management, but I'll always think about the screaming child whenever I consider going there.I know, that's technically not something that the management could control, but it's unfortunately what what I'll think of.when I go there. The "child" was shrieking almost constantly when we first arrived and I suppose the reason the shrieking stopped is because the child and his/her parents left. I don't think I've ever heard a noise as annoying. To parents who think their child's noises are music to their ears, I would say that some of us think otherwise. Perhaps you should find a sitter for your child, and if you cannot afford a sitter, perhaps you can't afford to go out for dinner.“

“My husband and I go here several times a month. We love the birria and chorizo tacos! The carne asada tacos are fantastic, too. The food is always fresh and hot; made to order; and reminds me of times in Guadalajara. If you're expecting Spanglish, go elsewhere. This place has truly great food.Parking: This is a taco truck so parking is in a gravel lot around it. Sometimes it can get a bit crowded during the lunch and dinner hours, but it is worth it.“

“We came to celebrate our wedding anniversary. We wanted real authentic Mexican Food and this place did not disappoint. It is self seating when you come in your choice of sitting where ever you want. From the salsa and chips to the agua de Horchata were authentic. I got the enchiladas rojas de Camarón, the sauce is made from scratch and the shrimp had very great seasoned flavors. Rice and beans are also made fresh. For dessert we had flan ? and it was also the thick kind delicious. The ambience was very mellow with the music playing in the background loud enough to still have a conversation. The restrooms were very clean and smelling good like the clean restrooms in Mexico iykyk. The service was awesome our waitress was very friendly and nice.We will definitely come back.“

“Love this place! I got their seafood burrito and it's excellent. The service is also amazing. I came in late, as I hadn't realized what time they closed, and the service was fast enough that I was able to eat and leave before closing, but the staff never made me feel rushed either. They were always so kind and friendly.“

“Food and service was excellent. Homemade chips and salsa while you wait is a nice touch. The shredded beef enchiladas had moist meat and the dish overall was one of the best I've had in a long time. Several options for little kids to eat located on the kids menu.Johan was my server, and he was very attentive to drinks and his demeaner was kind and friendly. As we left the table he said "bye friends." I will definitely be returning the next chance I get.Great place, great food, and great service.“

“The quality, the seasoning of the food has changed a lot, everything was better before, apart from their prices have gone up a lot and the payment methods are a little orthodox, you have to pay cash because paying by card increases it quite a bit, something that didn't happen before, some of them. My favorite dishes were melcajete but it's just not the same anymore...“

“This place is a hidden gem! You gotta try their Cabeza if you come here! It's so tender and juicy with great flavor. it's def the best cabeza tacos I've had in Utah. Asada was a bit too dry for my liking but when you get really good cabeza who cares about other tacos!“

“Excellent food. Chips and salsa were amazing. Rice and beans were fantastic. I had the carne asada burrito and it was excellent. Very clean. I’m a great part of Pleasant Grove on the historic Main Street. My wife and I have been looking for a great Mexican restaurant since moving to Utah, and we finally found our place. The only thing I wish they had was music. But everything else was great. Will definitely be back.“

“Loved the salsa bar and the quesadilla was tasty. I would’ve loved for it to be warm so that knocks the food down a point. Great service and tasty food. Everyone in my group wished they got the taco combo number 2. The quesadilla I got was the only vegetarian option on the menu I think.Vegetarian options: One vegetarian option on the menu.“

“Unfortunately they were out of most of their salsas which would have made this food amazing. We waited for over 30 min for our food in the heat which wasn't ideal. I can't wait to go back and try other things and I'm hoping the long wait is an isolated incidence. The asada tacos were so good. We got the biria tacos because everyone loves them, but they weren't my thing.“

“This was my 3rd visit to a 3rd location of Don Joaquin Street Tacos. I was expecting to have the same experience but did not.First they didn’t get our order right. My husband had ordered a taco and side of rice. I ordered the Carne Asada Fries. When he asked about the rice, the clerk said he didn’t know he wanted it. He did.I had talked up this Franchise because I had been twice on my own. He wasn’t real impressed. It wasn’t the same atmosphere. It didn’t have the ice cream bars.“

“Gallo Loco was the third Mexican spot I had here in Salt Lake, and being from Los Angeles, having tacos in TJ every other week, this spot stands CLEAR over the rest, it has that classic Mexican ambience and Alberto was a phenomenal host. He greeted me with energy and uplifting vibes. I came in a little down, and left feeling GOOD. The food was fantastic and the CHIPS & SALSA, which is a BIG judging point, were perfect. If you’re looking for a good time with some great food, come to Gallo Loco. #VIVAMEXICOCABRONES“

“When we first saw Los 2 Compadres we thought we were facing what appeared to be another "hole in the wall" Mexican restaurant. When we walked into this well kept secret dining oasis we were pleasantly surprised. As you can see from the pictures it's a nice place to dine. For a Monday night, their business stayed steady. Mexican fiesta banners hang throughout the dining areas. There are large screens on all the walls with projectors facing each screen for displaying live bands on the weekend. Service was quick! Complimentary chips and salsa were brought out immediately upon our being seated and more chips offered when the basket was empty. They weren't the best chips we've ever had but far from the worst. The salsa was mild with just the right amount of heat. The small salsa bar had enough variety of salsa and other toppings to satisfy any palate. We placed our order within minutes of our arrival and our food was delivered shortly after our ordering. The Shrimp Enchilada dinner was PACKED with chunks of shrimp! The taste was great! I will definitely order that dinner again. Where most Mexican restaurants garnish their plates with a piece of lettuce and tomato, this one actually had salad with a light vinegar and oil topping. The Chili Relleno looked very appealing and was one of the best we've had since leaving Texas. The rice contained mixed veggies; the refried beans were pretty typical. Their horchata was probably 32 ounces and was cold and refreshing without being watered down. We rarely give any restaurant a five-star rating, especially on a first visit, but we're making an exception for Los 2 Compadres. This is our new go to Mexican restaurant for northern Utah county!“

“Taco Amigo is a wonderful spot! I needed something specifically at the Walmart nearby and then I was craving some Mexican food. Taco Amigo popped up as a suggested spot and I was excited to try it for the first time! They have some parking or a drive through you can opt for. I didn't feel like sitting down, so I decided to scoot through the drive through. There were a few employees standing by the drive through entrance. Unbeknownst to me, this was similar to a soda shop/Chick-Fil-A where they have the employees outside with iPads to take your order, rather than you ordering through the speaker. The girl that took my order was so freaking nice. She complimented my name and my tattoo when I was placing my order. With it being my first time, I wasn't entirely sure what I wanted but she was super patient and didn't make me feel rushed. With how good the service was, I was convinced she was gonna flip the screen around and ask me a few questions, which I would've been fine with...but she didn't. There was no option to tip, so this was even more telling. It seems as if she was just genuinely being nice and not trying to get anything more out of it. Admittedly, the line did seem to take a bit longer than I feel it should've. Maybe there was a big order ahead but to me, it just seemed to take a whilleeee to get the food. Once I got up to the window, the people inside were super nice to and assured me my food would be out in just a moment. I ordered a smothered bean and beef burrito and a tiger's blood glacier. Once I got the food, I took it back to my house in Lehi. The food was pretty good but nothing amazing. However, it was not a sit down restaurant, it was a drive through, so I wasn't really expecting anything out of this world. All in all, I really liked my visit to Taco Amigo. It is conveniently located right off of State street and a great spot to the PG neighborhood. I would love to come back sometime again!“

“Overall the good was all really good and to our liking. My one complaint was on the kids meal I ordered a cheese melt and didn't realize that it came with the red enchilada sauce and cheese. My kids are way too picky for any type of sauce other than fry sauce or ketchup so my son wouldn't eat his meal other than the fries so I had to make him another plain cheese melt at home.“

“The best mexican food you can find in Utah Valley (Which isn’t saying much). The drinks are fun though way overpriced. Service is good, but the location is small so don’t expect to have an intimate first date with the one you felt like the spirit prompted you to ask out. Parking is abysmal. “I'm going to keep it short and simple. Jurassic tacos are pretty good but definitely unhealthy. The people didn't put beans on my taco so they took it back and put beans on it and then felt bad so they gave me some little cards I can exchange for free tacos and a drink. I won't use it but that was nice. It's also $11 for one taco so I would say it's priceyParking: Right up frontKid-friendliness: The tables are a bit high up so it might be possible that they could fall offWheelchair accessibility: High seats“
