“We had a wonderful experience at Matteo this evening. The food was excellent and the service was outstanding. Our waiter, John, was amazing. We were four adults and two young children. He made us feel comfortable and he understood what was needed to make the meal enjoyable for both the adults and the kids.

Start with the Antipasto Italiano. The presentation is beautiful and the meats and cheeses are of the highest quality.

As for the entrees, all were delicious, except one. The cioppino and the lobster bisque pasta are great choices if you are a big seafood fan. It’s the spicy sausage pasta that fell short. It was not warm when it arrived at the table and it was bland, not spicy. I told John that I wasn’t happy with the pasta. He asked if I could describe the problem so he could tell the chef and he helped me choose a different dish - the lasagna which was rich and creamy and full of flavor.

Finish with the tiramisu. It’s unusual with espresso brownie bits instead of lady fingers and it is the perfect ending to a fabulous dinner.“

“The food was good and portions overall great for pizza, pasta, and dessert. The salad is a side salad and not worth the $10 it costs. Their menu could have better descriptions and drinks listed. I felt the menu just felt confusing if you don’t know pasta names. I thought service was great and our waitress was great. Atmosphere is a little bland and loud. I might come again, but for the price it’s not at the top of my list. For drinks and main courses, plus a few shared desserts, we spent around $40 a person, which is a lot for “casual” spot.“

“I came here on a whim with 5 other people and the food made a alright day great. My only complaint was they only had bottled sodas but they also give you a glass with ice and a straw with the glass bottle. I haven't really been to a place where the staff isn't nice but the customer service here really stood out to me. The atmosphere is good and that's coming from someone who doesn't care about atmosphere at all. For all 6 of us getting food the bill was around 120$ but for a smaller group/paying for your own food it would definitely be more affordable“

“What amazing Stromboli’s. So fresh and full of so much flavors. Kyle greeted my wife and I when we arrived to pick our sandwich a up. We were a little late and were offered new fries. What a great jester. I would recommend everyone to try this at least once. You will always come back!!“

“This location is always great. Even if its super busy, a little hack to skip the line is usually to just go sit at the bar, where the drinks are also reasonably priced. The never ending breaksticks soup and salad is a meal on its own. Fresh tasting seafood and steak in their dishes which I wouldnt have expected.“

We were actually eating dessert with butter knives and stolen silverware from other tables. Water glasses remained empty. It's not a cheap place to eat. The restroom was a mess and not well taken care of.“

Everyone on the team there, from the young gentleman that greeted and seated us, to the manager who spoke with us and especially Marley who served us...each one was amazing!!! We only seem to be offered 1 to 5 stars, but these 3 teams members went above and beyond our expectations. Frankly they each deserve 500 stars instead of 5 stars. Additionally the food was beyond excellent and delicious!! We will be back and hope that this honest review continues to allow room for us and our friends again next time!!! “We have been going out as couples for decades. And there are only a handful of places that we would go back to from bountiful to provo. North italia is definitely one. We will come back to. The Cacio pepe arancini is probably the best I have ever had. The pasta is definitely homemade. We had Bolognese,Shrimp Scampi,Chicken pesto garlic knot sliders,Sicilian meatball sliders, salad,parseaman fries, nacionalidad pepe arancini. You cannot go wrong with any of these items. The vodka sauce did have a little kick. Enjoyed every dish. This is the first place I have ever given 5 stars. sorry I forgot to take pictures (I am an older person so chalk it up to that😄)“

“We ate here during our vacay & although it was pricey, the service & food felt fancy. My only suggestion is to turn down the lights. It was super clean & in a neighborhood that looked like it was being re-vamped. I hope their "temporary closure" is very temporary. Locals need to try it out for a date night! “I've been converted into a regular at this location! The staff was exceptionally kind and helpful. The new General Manager warmly greeted us personally. The food came out very quickly, was hot, visually appealing, and absolutely delicious. The salad, breadsticks, Margarita Chicken, and Pumpkin Cookie Butter Cheesecake - all home runs! I don't recall ever walking out of a restaurant with such a big smile.“
