“I’ve visited Captain Gregory’s three times over the past three years and it is by far the best speakeasy experience in the DC area! The drinks are fantastic - delicious and true works of art. The service is impeccable and the vibe is perfect for a romantic date night or nice relaxing chat with a friend. The quality far exceeds the speakeasies and cocktail bars I’ve visited in DC, which often charge a higher price. If I lived closer, I’d be here all the time. 100/10 would recommend!“

Everything about this restaurant is so nice: from the views to the atmosphere of the restaurant itself and the service, all is a nice experience. It is a very big place as they have seating in different places. I particularly enjoyed the covered seating on the outside near the water. The menu was varied and offered a variety of seafood options. I enjoyed the crispy crunchy hush puppies and the clam chowder. Very tasty! The service was excellent as well. Would I return to this restaurant? Yes!“

“We discovered this restaurant while searching online for a venue near an event we were attending, and we were all quite satisfied with our experience. Three of us ordered the cheesesteaks, while one opted for the fish and chips, and we shared a basket of onion rings, which were delightful. The service was excellent, and the establishment provided a typical yet enjoyable pub atmosphere. We intend to return during our next visit to friends in the area. The location is situated at the end of a strip mall, with ample parking available. I highly recommend this restaurant.“

“The Sea Bass was a total suprise. More often than not I am dissapointed when I order fish. Not the case here. The presentation was superb. The blend of flavors, textures and colors was an epicurean delight. Our waiter/bartender Damany was thoughtful, always on point without being intrusive. “Our server Jayla was awesome! She was very friendly. We went on a Saturday afternoon around 2 p.m. weather was gorgeous outside and the outdoor patio was well covered, but we decided to sit inside. The restaurant wasn't too crowded. Jayla asked if it was our first time at Blackwall Hitch, which it was, so she went over the local favorites. She recommended the flaming crab dip and it was delicious!!! Jayla offered us extra Naan chips which I thought was generous for an upscale restaurant. I asked if she could bring us extra with a to-go box to take the rest of the dip. We also had the mahi mahi tacos and chicken-pancetta flatbread - both were great. Jayla often checked on us. I was standing at the bar for a little over five minutes just before happy hour ended and it was so busy (on a Friday) that the bartender couldn't get to me until my watch said 7 pm. Initially he refused to honor the happy hour price, but when I explained that I had been standing there for a little while, he agreed. Good selection of beers.“

“I recently moved into this area and found Cherokee Cafe. Their service is impeccable. The prices are cheap for the amount of food you get. The cafe has ample seating and is well organized and clean. Highly recommend. I would get lunch here every day if I could!“

“Came with 3 friends to celebrate my birthday early on 3/29/25. Service was definitely very slow, but our server was lovely and we used the time to talk. Also, they extended my reservation 30 minutes without complaint when we were running late. The best part was the food. I couldn't find fault with one meal. Everyone's food was delicious. That steak might've been the best I've ever tasted; the salmon dinner, jambalaya meal; fried oysters; wings - all outstanding. Then we went upstairs to try to listen to some music, but it is a smaller space than I remembered from the single other time I came in 2022. It wasn't comfortable for us, so we went to the basement to listen to the DJ play a little millennial hip hop, and that was a perfect cap to our night. I definitely recommend.“

We ordered the tots and got something very different than expected that she could not have and i thought was fair at best. However our entrees were great. I had a very tasty steak in a good salad and her burger was modified to her liking with a little input from staff. We sat at the bar and service was good despite it being one persons first shift there. Will go back and order off the great wine selection!!!“

I recently traveled 4 hours away for vacation and decided to stop by this gourmet carryout restaurant. I’m so glad I did! The owner personally recommended some dishes, and the service was quick, efficient, and straight to the point. The prices were very reasonable, and I even got to try the owner’s own recipe for a healthy juice, which was delicious! If you’re looking for great food, fantastic service, and a pleasant experience, this is definitely the place to go. Highly recommended!“

“We were tired from touring all day and the clerk at Springhill Suites recommended an Italian place “just around the corner”. As we got closer, we could detect delicious smells in the air. As we entered, a cheery staff greeted us, and the cozy space was decorated with lots of photographs and traditional green and white checked tablecloths. We were offered fresh garlic bread while we looked over the menu. We both decided on the “individual” pizza, but let me tell you, us 2 ladies could’ve easily just split one! The veggie pizza was soooo fresh and yummy. If we’re ever in the area again, would definitely go back!“

“Such a cute little hole in the wall. The owners are the ones that work serving and cooking and it’s so nice. We felt so welcomed and comfortable being here. The food is something you could just do at home, but that’s exactly what we liked about it. Overall great experience and we would be back.
