“The Sea Bass was a total suprise. More often than not I am dissapointed when I order fish. Not the case here. The presentation was superb. The blend of flavors, textures and colors was an epicurean delight. Our waiter/bartender Damany was thoughtful, always on point without being intrusive. The whole experience was one worth repeating.“

“Places in strip malls really have to work extra hard to make people forget they're in a strip mall, and this place doesn't quite get there. Food was good, not fantastic. The concept of dishes from different cities is not new and gives the impression they're not really skilled at any one thing. (Also cheese curds are yellow, not white, I'm from Wisconsin.) Service was fine. Layout is a little weird, trying to be both a sports bar and a restaurant and it doesn't really have room for both. If I'm in the neighborhood again, would repeat. Won't specifically seek it out.“

“My girlfriend and I had the same cocktail which was very tasty and the 1st on menu. We ordered the tots and got something very different than expected that she could not have and i thought was fair at best. However our entrees were great. I had a very tasty steak in a good salad and her burger was modified to her liking with a little input from staff. We sat at the bar and service was good despite it being one persons first shift there. Will go back and order off the great wine selection!!!“

Only thing is that they seemed incredibly understaffed. The very kind host/waiter seemed incredibly overwhelmed and was virtually the only staff member we saw in the establishment. Note that they were at capacity, and we were early, so they didn’t let us in until at our reservation time and even a bit after.“

“Celebrated a birthday in an invitingly warm atmosphere at Kiln. We began with liquid libations. Ordering a beer became a little tedious as a combination of a recent power outage with other unknown factors led to finally finding one satisfactory beer! Things became brighter with the yummy Kiln bread and soft butter enhanced w/flaky sea salt & seaweed (sounds odd but adds to the taste). For mains, the birthday boy thoroughly enjoyed his short ribs as I enjoyed the catfish accompanied by a yummy succotash. though one companion while enjoyed the catfish but found the succotash too vineagary for her taste and the other diner did not get excited over the rock fish. We did have a lovely pinot noir which paired well with the dishes. We ended the meal with an excellent carrot cake. A minor point, although upon our arrival the host quickly acknowledged we were celebrating a birthday as did the server, by the time dessert arrived, there wasn't even a candle or a hint that they remembered we were celebrating a special occasion. Finally, my double espresso was no more than a thimbleful. and the requested sugar never arrived. I will not doubt that our server said he pushed the double button, then the machine needs to be re-calibrated. The server did remove the charge which was appreciated.“

“This was my first time and I went with a friend of mine visiting from Philly. We went for brunch or early lunch. The food was great and the staff were friendly. Food arrived fast and tasted absolutely delicious. I had the seared shrimp tacos, moist and tasty-yum, my friend had the market fish sandwich for that day, he absolutely loved it and he doesn't usually eat fish lol.“

“This is our neighborhood go to. We love the staff and the food is always very good. My only wish is that the menu had a more often rotation. Many of my favorite dishes are only available during happy hour or on specific days, like the blackened fish only on Friday. It’s great to be able to take our kids here where on the bar side their noise level is drowned out by the patrons. Tons of games available to watch and many fans of different teams converging to root them on. The vibe is great on either the restaurant or bar side, and the regulars are great fun to enjoy company. Highly recommended and we will be there as a regular when you come!“

“Love this place! Dinner is always 10/10 but service, we had Alena or elena and she was just the sweetest young lady and she knows was shes doing, and she was honest too with her recommendations! We always have a tuna and oysters! Then steak this time we shared the cowboy ribeye and added scallops which by the way is not on the menu but elena said they could do it and it was delicious!! 5 star service“

“I don’t ever leave reviews due to my laziness, but today I decided to leave my very first review for this lovely place! This is our first experience at The Study. I honestly didn’t know what to expect as the restaurant seemed quite small.

We knew about the l live piano performance but it exceeded our expectations. Derek’s performance was so lovely and he sings really well! We love musics like such so it definitely made our experience even better!

Sean served us and he is absolutely a pleasant person to be greeted by - very friendly and sweet. Take his recs!

The food? It absolutely blew my mind - so healthy, clean, yet very flavorful. I can tell that ingredients were very fresh. We had arroz con mariscos and fried fish with avocado rice. I got obsessed with the avocado rice that came with the fried fish - rich in olive oil and lime (i think)! We absolutely cleared our plates leaving nothing behind. Chef Guzman gave us complimentary gaspachos and desserts for us to try and she came to ask how things were, which I thought was lovely.

Cocktails - delicious!! we had the one with coconut cream and another one with guava. SO GOOD! I think we’d even come back just for the drinks as well.

We already know that we’ll be back here again very soon. Before coming in I thought it was a bit pricey but having had the experience the experience is worth every penny. I highly recommend for cozy family dinners and date nights. You won’t regret!!“

“I just happen to stumble on this hidden gem. The staff is amazing. They gave me great recommendations I decided to try the tropical shrimp salad sandwich,house chips, and hibiscus flower lemonade! So flavorful I will definitely be back to try the smoothies, and panini sandwiches.“

“Our server Jayla was awesome! She was very friendly. We went on a Saturday afternoon around 2 p.m. weather was gorgeous outside and the outdoor patio was well covered, but we decided to sit inside. The restaurant wasn't too crowded. Jayla asked if it was our first time at Blackwall Hitch, which it was, so she went over the local favorites. She recommended the flaming crab dip and it was delicious!!! Jayla offered us extra Naan chips which I thought was generous for an upscale restaurant. I asked if she could bring us extra with a to-go box to take the rest of the dip. We also had the mahi mahi tacos and chicken-pancetta flatbread - both were great. Jayla often checked on us. “Definite potential. Service is good and a nice atmosphere. I went here as my wife met with a friend for dinner. The place was close and looked promising so I checked it out. I started with fried green tomatoes, which were good but I think the batter wasn’t fully cooked through. But I would order again. For my main meal I had the Charleston chicken, which was a solid choice. Well priced, tasty, and filling. Finally, I closed my meal out with the key lime pie, which was great. Overall, I think this restaurant deserves your visit.“

“Such a great location on King Street! The cigar lounge upstairs is the main attraction with an incredible selection of cigars and great live music every night.

I’ve been to the cigar lounge a few times and finally went to the restaurant downstairs, which is OK. Got the pork belly to start which was pretty dry, my jambalaya was decent, but the fried chicken was absolutely 5 stars! If the rest of the menu matched the flavor and quality of the chicken, I’d move to Alexandria to eat here every night haha

“We were tired from touring all day and the clerk at Springhill Suites recommended an Italian place “just around the corner”. As we got closer, we could detect delicious smells in the air. As we entered, a cheery staff greeted us, and the cozy space was decorated with lots of photographs and traditional green and white checked tablecloths. We were offered fresh garlic bread while we looked over the menu. We both decided on the “individual” pizza, but let me tell you, us 2 ladies could’ve easily just split one! The veggie pizza was soooo fresh and yummy. If we’re ever in the area again, would definitely go back!“

Tony, the server, was super friendly and outgoing—had a nice chat with him, and he’s got a great personality.
