“Best Bul jok bal and mak guk su place in DMV area.
The interior is looking like pocha, so people might come here for just drinking. However, you guys can just come to this place for having dinner. They are mostly delicious.
A place where buljokbal and makguksu are delicious. A taste that cannot be beat even in Korea.
The interior looks like a bar, so people come here late in the evening to drink. However, considering the price, taste, and quantity, this is one of the few Korean restaurants that is worth coming to for dinner.“

The kimchi and radish kimchi (kkakdugi) were also really flavorful.

It was a wonderful experience overall.
This is definitely the best restaurant in Annandale!

“The food was really delicious, just like what I used to eat when I went to visit my grandmother in Korea! Tofu stew, jjolmyeon, and kimbap with a lot of perilla seed powder, and the side dishes, especially young radish kimchi, are the best.... In this time of rising prices, the price and quantity are good, and the taste is truly the best!“

“One of my favorite Korean restaurants in the DMV area.
The tofu soup was absolutely delicious — rich, comforting, and full of flavor. You can really taste the quality of the ingredients, and it hits the spot every time. The side dishes were fresh and tasty, with a nice variety that complemented the meal perfectly. Their seafood pancake was delicious as well.
Fast service and a cozy atmosphere make this place an easy favorite.“

“I have been to mane kbbq places around dmv. I do like oegadgib the most, for hte speed, authenticity and staff. The quality of meat is good for the all you can eat option. The main MVPs are the signature sauce dip and salad, those two elevate the experience of the kbbq“
“Ive been coming to bar for the past 4 years and the reason I always come back is because the service/food is always consistent and amazing. The two managers there always do their best to accommodate you. The prices for drinks are great if you compare them to DC. If you are looking for a a fun and great time, this is it!“

“New Tosokjib focuses on traditional Korean fare, and the food js consistently good. The menu has a decent variety of options, and a couple of the stews and scallion seafood pancake are good. For non-spicy diners, recommend the samgaetang (chicken stew) and mandoo-kook (dumpling soup).
On the downside, the restaurant is really no frills. The service leaves much to be desired and is downright cold. Good luck asking for extra napkins. You will get a death stare along with a couple of kiddie napkins.“

“Reliable restaurant for authentic and good Korean food. We usually get marinated galbi and mul naeng myun (cold buckwheat noodles). You know a place is good when most the clientele is Korean lol. Prices are a bit high but that seems to be the trend everywhere post pandemic.“

“You have got to ask for Jay Kim, he is the best server in the house. He was patient and ever so helpful with us as first time hot potters. I had a vegetarian hot pot, well, except for the dumplings. Although they have no vegetarian options, he worked with me and provided me with an alternate option. It would be more awesome for them to add it to their menu tho for those of us who just love veggies. The broth is vegetarian based so it makes sense to have a vegetarian option along with it. We had a party of 8 and Jay Kim made it so much fun!!! The food was absolutely delicious. Everything was so fresh. One other option that would have been great to have would be fresh ginger at the sauce bar and mushrooms on the vegetable plate. We were all pleasantly pleased with our food. The ambiance is very nice, low light but more than enough to cook and enjoy each other's company. Jay Kim made sure we always had what we needed. The sauce bar was amazing, so many choices. I recommend making a few bowls, some for the broth and and some for dipping your cooked food. If you get any type of meat, also make a sauce to marinade the meat. You don't have to but it made a good difference. Meats are thinly sliced for quick cooking and again,so fresh. The price was worth the amount of food and the experience. There is an all you can eat option or an a la carte option where you just get one meat selection and a vegetable plate which was more than enough for us as a party of young ladies. This was a great first hot pot experience and I definitely recommend it, just make sure to ask for Jay Kim. I know you will enjoy it!!!“

“DROP what you’re doing and GO HERE NOW!!!! The wait is OVER!!! This place goes ABOVE and BEYOND the second you walk in 😊 and make sure you ask for David!!😌 Literally the best of the best. So attentive and kind. You’ll feel like you’re getting first-class treatment. After a really sour experience at Honey Pig (another Korean spot), my family came here on a whim… and BABY we were blown away!! They gave us special menu items they normally only serve at select times but made an exception just for us. David really advocated for us the whole time, and even the owner came through! She got us seated immediately and was so warm. It felt like we were visiting family, not a restaurant. They even gave us ice cream for free!!!! At the end of service!!!!
Food? GOOD. Prices? Lower than most Korean BBQ spots. Gratuity is included but nothing crazy. They refill all the side dishes without hesitation, and yes they cut the meat for you!!
Y’all PLEASE give them a shot before anywhere else. You will NOT regret it. And ask for David! They also have a bar section so it’s perfect for date night too!“

“The beef sweet and sour pork is excellent.
The meat is soft and the meat is sliced thickly so it tastes good.
Jjamppong, filled with the scent of seafood, disappears without you even knowing when it is gone.
However, people working while eating. I felt uncomfortable staring at it too much“

“5 Stars
Mad for Grill, a Korean restaurant in Annandale, VA, is a spot that will keep you coming back. The “조기구이정식“, Grilled Yellow Croaker Set) is exceptional—perfectly grilled with deep, rich flavors. The side dishes (banchan) are like little appetizers, and the Kimchi is hands down the best I’ve ever had in any restaurant—fresh, flavorful, and incredibly special. It’s a taste that’s sure to impress, especially for those new to Korean cuisine. Plus, the convenient location makes it an easy choice. If you’re after authentic Korean food, Mad for Grill is a must-visit!“
““Karaoke, great drinks, and an excellent staff make this a great night destination for someone looking to have a good time with friends. The food is also great, presenting many exotic and delicious dishes, as well as the old classics. The place itself looks amazing, with a great night ambiance, complete with hanging lights and great music. And did I mention the super-fun karaoke?.–

“I started ordering from SB Hans every other day for myself and/or coworkers about 6 months ago as they've quickly become our favorite, and they have yet to disappoint me. They provide quality food, efficient packaging and excellent customer service. The employees recognize my name at this point and greet me with such gratitude and warmth it almost makes me shy. Great spot for korean food, their pictures closely resemble what you get.“

“This was my first time at Sorak Garden. My mom picked it out. I ordered the Kimchi Jigae, my son ordered the japchae, and my mom ordered the Dolsot Bibim bap, We shared the fried mandu (dumplings). All the food, even the side dishes (banchan) were delicious. It tasted like my Mom's home cooking. The flavors were authentically Korean. It's sad that I had to leave MD to find a really great Korean restaurant, but I'm glad my mom took me here. The service was wonderful as well. The food didn't take long to come out, and they checked on us which I really appreciated. I believe the owner even came out to talk with us. It was a really great experience. I hope more people will come here to eat. I didn't take photos this time. But I highly recommend this restaurant.“

“The best Galbi in town!
Loved their Mot-nan Pork rib, but now my new favorite is their Korean traditional beef-Galbi ! (Marinated Galbi, not LA Galbi)
No fat in the beef Galbi! & I love it!
So tender, soft, and tasty!

“Excellent and clean shabu shabu restaurant. The selection on their AYCE was generous for the price and everything was delicious! You can see them cutting meat to order in the back! However, service was honestly a miss — while our waiter was friendly, he was handling too many tables to be able to check in with us for additional orders, to take away empty plates, and to get us the check. Might have been a staffing issue just on the day we went though“

“I love their drypot and malapot options. Good selection of toppings and high quality beef+lamb. Owner is super nice and has give me free water and extra rice on occasion. Be careful of putting too much food into your bowl since you may end up with an expensive meal that you cannot finish.“

“Korean bbq spot with tortillas?? Changed my rating from a 4 to a 5, had pretty good service as well, getting the meat was quick, changed the pan often for us when it got burnt, meat was also pretty good. No complaints personally, shout out to the staff, very friendly“
“I love this place! The owner and employees are so nice. They always have updated music especially in the KPOP genre. They also have a variety of other music genres as well. The song selector is pretty easy to use and the rooms are decorated very nicely! I definitely recommend this place for a night out of fun :)“

“My family and I enjoyed a wonderful dinner here. The restaurant has a lounge-like atmosphere but feels very family friendly. The staff are courteous, attentive, and respectful. The food was fresh. All of the meats were well prepared for grilling, and the Bulgogi and the Beef brisket were out of this world! The spicy rice cakes and steamed egg were definitely my favorite appetizers. All in all a wonderful place for a night out.
Dietary restrictions: One of the dipping sauces they serve at the table is peanut oil based.“

“Love this delightful little yogurt drink and snack shop! Tucked away on the far end of the K-Mart parking lot, Yomie's is one of Annandale's best hidden gems. Despite being a part of a global chain, Yomie's maintains the local vibes with its tiny, cozy shop with only two small tables, and super friendly staff. The yogurt and rice drinks are all delightful, with a rich creamy texture and slightly tangy flavor from the yogurt. You can customize your drink with a bunch of different flavors, including various fruits or dessert-like treats (e.g., Oreo). I love the hawthorn, which gives a nice hint of fruitiness and extra tanginess from the sour chunks of fruit, and it adds yet another texture to mix in with the rice. The rice makes a phenomenal topping, as it gives the drink a bit more body and chew, without all the sugar and with slightly less effort than, say, boba might. The combination feels wholesome but also like a treat.
Yomie's also has a pretty large food selection, including mochi donuts, Korean hot dogs, and yubu pockets. I decided to get two of their yubu pockets, and they were quite sizeable -- two or three could easily be a full meal. The yubu itself was slightly sweet and savory, and it was the perfect vessel for a dollop of warm rice and my toppings of choice. I opted for the spicy tuna and stewed mushrooms, both of which were phenomenal. The tuna was tasty and super rich from the mayo, and I loved the combination of the cold fish with warm rice and yubu. The mushrooms were incredibly flavorful, both from their natural earthiness and the soy sesame glaze they were cooked in. It was nutty, savory, and umami, and all around a delightful vegetarian snack.“

“1st time trying there tacos. Ordered one carne asada and 1 bulgogi. The carne asada was average. I really enjoyed the bulgogi with their side sauce. Was like a yum yum sauce with a slight kick. There other sauces were good too. The red one was extra hot! I did go for lunch on a Sunday. Would recommend breakfast tacos/burritos!!! Maybe a brunch themed menu on the weekends. Specially in this area we love our brunches!!! I’ll be back to try a few more items.“

“I ordered Agu Jjim for the first time as a to-go option. When placing my order, I inquired about the possibility of adjusting the spice level, and the staff kindly confirmed they could accommodate that request. I asked for a medium spice level, and I was thrilled to open the dish upon receiving it, especially since the restaurant had recently opened.
Upon tasting it, I found it absolutely delightful—truly perfect. The seasoning was just right, and the spiciness suited my palate perfectly. While I know I cannot replicate such wonderful flavors, I genuinely appreciate the effort that goes into the dish, and I would like to share a couple of suggestions for improvement.
I noticed that the bean sprouts seemed quite shriveled, which might indicate they were added too early in the cooking process. If they could be boiled or steamed separately and then mixed with the Agu Jjim, it might enhance the texture. Additionally, I felt the quantity of bean sprouts was somewhat lacking. Given that bean sprouts are relatively inexpensive, increasing the amount could make the dish appear more abundant.
I share these thoughts with the hope that the restaurant continues to thrive. Overall, this Agu Jjim is the best I have enjoyed in Annandale, and it stands out among the Agu Jjim I've had in the U.S. The freshness of the fish was exceptional as well. I wish the restaurant great success!“

“I order from doordash a lot from here, as well as picking up orders to take home so I never eat in, but the chicken mayo is absolutely phenomenal, as well as being relatively low priced. I've found myself craving it at least once a week, easily some of the best food in the area, and there's some great spots nearby“

“Wife and I love this place. Very chill whole in the wall kind of place. Came here almost every week for most of last winter. Continues to be a regular spot because of how simple, cheap and good it is. Love the spicy pork dish - Jayuk Bokeum. A bit pricy but is huge and almost feeds two people. Wife loves the tofu soup. Mandu and the kimchi or seafood pancakes are great starters. Kimchi and tea come with every meal. Have had kimchi at lots of asian spots but this is by far the best kimchi ever. Will continue to frequent this spot“

“One of a kind! Awesome selection of Korean and American snacks. The service is top notch. The atmosphere is upbeat with a lounge vibe. Highly recommend.
Only caveat is parking might be tough during peak hours. Be careful parking in Honey Pig and Rumba lots adjacent to 1943 Classic.“
