“This is probably mine and the families favorite hot pot to go to in this area. The food is absolutely delicious, it’s nice that the vegetables are a buffet style where you can get them at your own pace. The quality is great and so is the service! If you’re into hot pot and in the area this place is an absolute must!!“

“I was scared to try this place because the Yelp reviews are not that great, but I’m so glad I did! I decided to go with their most popular items first to be safe, great experience so I will try a few other items next time.
10/10 Fried Chicken & Shrimp Fried Rice
9/10 Steamed Triple Delight: fresh broccoli, mushrooms, onions & carrots, large shrimp (not those tiny popcorn shrimp lol), tender chicken & beef w/ a brown sauce. I would just like more garlic and flavor in the brown sauce, but it was still tasty mmm will order again! I just added my own minced garlic and a little salt at home.“
“I just really enjoy everything on their menu. Today I tried the wings, it was moist on the inside and just the perfect crunched on the outside. Drizzled with calamansi sauce ... i'm drooling thinking about it. Stop by and try their loco moco, lumpia, or a vegetarian dish!“

“Well. Be careful. They've started charging an extra dollar for answering the phone. Ive stood by them after food poisoning, multiple incorrect orders, and lack of ny concept of customer service. With this newest scam, I'm done. You should be too!°°“

“I have eaten here for 35 years whenever I'm in the area. I love that Good Fortune is still here, though the owners have changed over the years. I'm so glad that they have vegan options now (as I'm now vegan!). They have all the old school, classic Chinese-American dishes but veganized. Very extensive vegan menu. I highly recommend the mock meat options. I like the sesame chicken and the moo shu vegetable with pancakes (but ask for no egg to make it vegan)!“

“My family dined here on Saturday lunch. It was difficult to find parking spot so we called the restaurant. You have to park at a garage across the street, and the restaurant will validate the ticket.
My family ordered donkotsu shio, donkotsu miso, and grilled hamachi. Ramen are just ok. I would not order ramen again if I go back here. There’s nothing really special about it. Grilled Hamachi was super soft, juicy, and not salty - exactly what I was looking for my young children.
Servers weren’t that friendly and there were only two servers. They were so busy to check on us. I waited like a meerkat for good 10 mins to ask for a check because I couldn’t get their attentions.
Overall, decent japanese restaurant but I am not sure if I would go back unless I am in the area.“

“The night before the Marine Corps Marathon, we celebrated our anniversary dinner with family and relatives at Satay Club, a cozy Malaysian restaurant tucked in the heart of Washington DC. I’m always on the lookout for authentic flavors — and this place truly impressed us with every bite.
We started our feast with their signature Satay — both chicken and lamb. Perfectly grilled with smoky charred edges, the skewers were tender and flavorful, complemented beautifully by the rich, nutty peanut sauce. It felt like a taste of Kuala Lumpur in DC!
Next came the salted fish fried rice, aromatic and full of wok hei (that irresistible smoky aroma). The balance of savory salted fish, soft egg, and crisp vegetables made it comfort food at its best. The calamari dish was crispy on the outside and tender inside, served with colorful bell peppers and crunchy shallots — a delightful mix of texture and spice.
We also loved the tofu and eggplant stir-fry, which came in a deliciously savory sauce — rich, hearty, and deeply satisfying. To end the evening, we indulged in ice chendol and fried banana, a sweet and refreshing finish that brought nostalgic memories of Southeast Asia.
Satay Club is a gem — family-run, warm, and truly authentic. A perfect place for Malaysian food lovers and a wonderful way to celebrate before marathon day! 🇲🇾🍢🍚💛“

“Wow, where to begin. The food- excellent. We got the dim sum and every dish was ‘wow’ worthy. It was one of those meals where you’re just talking about the food because it was so unique, delicious and well crafted. I highly recommend the duck tacos and the beignets. The service- amazing. I didn’t catch her name, but the waitress was kind, attentive, and made me feel like I was eating at someone’s house rather than a restaurant. Real auntie energy and she had great recommendations. The atmosphere- so unique, clean, well lit, eclectic, homey, full of character. The ONLY thing this place was missing is an aquarium and a disco ball.
This is the kind of place you can being your best friend, your mom, your boss- and everyone will have a good time and great food. Please go support this amazing restaurant and staff.“

“I am a fan of unagi (eel), so when a friend recommended Taiko Sushi I had to start with their unagi domburi (eel over sushi rice).
It is simply the best unagi domburi I have ever had in the DC area.
It was $30, but the portion size was generous and it came with several small sides such as Japanese pickles and seaweed salad. I'm glad I didn't buy an appetizer, or I wouldn't have been able to eat it all.“

“incredibly delicious pho! I've been living in the US for 2 years, and only now have I eaten real and delicious pho! I've tried it in different cities, but this is the best. The most authentic, rich broth, elastic noodles. I recommend it to everyone!“

“One of my favorite dinners since moving to DC, the jaew bong wings (crispy, fried to perfection, just a little too sweet) or red curry (rich, tender brisket) were my favorite. We also got the tapioca pearl dumplings which were not my favorite due to their texture, but overall everything was delicious. Loved the vibe in there too.“

“It was our first time visiting this Asian restaurant, and we absolutely loved it! We’ve been craving some good Asian food lately, and this place definitely satisfied our cravings. The atmosphere was cozy and welcoming, and the staff were super friendly and attentive the entire time. The food was amazing everything tasted fresh, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. You can really tell they put effort and care into every dish. Overall, it was such an enjoyable dining experience, and we’ll definitely be coming back again soon! Totally wonderful!“

“Kata DID NOT disappoint!
I did not make a reservation but was pleasantly greeted and immediately seated by Haywood. He was extremely welcoming and made me feel like a regular, although it was my first visit.
I sat at the bar and Anabel & Facundo were
friendly, energetic, and very attentive. I enjoyed conversation and did not feel awkward at all being a solo diner. Anabel prepared my cocktail beautifully and made sure it was picture ready!
Food was delicious! I had the beef dumpling, the filet mignon, and cheesecake. Temperature was good, wait was not long, and presentation was beautiful.
I can’t wait to come back and experience the live entertainment with my Besties!“

“Been hooked to this resto since 2022. Been all over the US, from California, Texas, Colorado, Georgia etcc… and this is far the most fresh, and best tasting sushi we have ever gone. We always order the redbull roll and never gone wrong! We also order toro ( fatty tuna) sashimi because it just melt on the tongue like butter. It’s so fresh! The marbling on their Toro is majestic! I tried to look and eat for the same roll from other resto, and no one has beat kumo. The staff are always polite, kind, and energetic. If you’re ever in DMV, this is a must place to eat!“

“Moh Moh licious is a bit of hidden treasure. The Moh mohs (Nepalese dumplings) are ridiculously good. Every time I order i tell myself I'll try more things and then get the same delicious dumplings and I'm happy. The C Momo (if you want some heat), Kothey Momo (if you want to control the sauce options), and Jhol Momo are my go to orders. Order more than you want because they are fantastic as leftovers. If this restaurant was further south on Georgia Ave there would lines out of the door.“
“Had the deluxe sashimi. While I’m not a fan of white tuna, I get why it’s included. The hamachi was really good, melt in your mouth. As was the rest of the sashimi. I liked how seaweed salad was used as a bed for one of the fish. And need that miso soup for the probiotic and comfort on a cold fall evening.“

“Food is great, but the Thai tea is NOT a normal thai tea. They use a powder instead of actual thai tea and milk. So it has a totally different flavor. Only reason I’m still leaving a good review is because they were very kind and willing to give a refund or exchange the drink for something else. 🙏🏽👍🏽 We exchanged it for a mango slushie and although it was equally as gross tasting (mega artificial flavoring) the customer service was great.“

“$2 Crazy Hour is absolutely insane! They have a great selection of sushi and various appetizers. The sushi is the same high quality as their dinner service ,the fish pieces are huge and incredibly fresh. The alcohol are 50% off, and the selection is massive, they're not stingy like other places that only offer one or two brands. It's a super friendly restaurant, and you absolutely cannot find a better deal in town!“

“Stopped on a whim. I was walking by, hungry and reviews looked good. So glad I tried it. I ordered the miso ramen to-go. The broth was separate in the take away container which meant everything didn’t get soggy while I walked a mile back. Miso was really good. I wasn’t a fan of the noodles. I prefer them a little thinner. Despite that, the miso ramen was really good. The meat was cooked perfectly. Miso was tasty. I would definitely eat here again.“

“Not only is every dish delicious, but the service at Isshin is so warm, so welcome and so lovely. Secret menu item is the handmade dumplings (they have two types so ask for these specifically). Their miso soup is very rich but not overly salty, which can be difficult to find, yet it is here daily and for a good price. I’m particularly in love with their udon noddles, which I get vegetarian with tofu, and the veggies are perfectly crisp. Their sushi rolls are fresh and I never get the seaweed burps. They know us when we walk in and make my wife and I feel like family. Become a regular, it’s worth it.“

“This little cafe is, by far, the best place to eat in Union Station. It is upstairs on the east side of the mezzanine level offering a very wide variety of tasty Asian and Middle Eastern dishes in a quiet, courteous and uncrowded environment. My wife and I live nearby and, for over 20 years have come frequently for lunch and the occasional dinner. This is definitely THE place to eat in Union Station.“

“Khin’s Sushi gets my vote for tasty sushi at reasonable prices. Khin’s is in an odd space. They share their small and minimal dining area with a pizza place. Khin’s also sells gelato. It’s a weird one-stop-shop for all things lunch. But I digress. We tried a variety of basic sushi like their California roll. It was all good. The rolls were not huge. But we enjoyed them. The service is a bit gruff. And the ambiance is pure 80’s fast food. But forget about all of that. Go in, grab some sushi while your spouse/partner/friend grabs a slice. And enjoy a good meal together. We will return.“

“My normal range of test Asian food is hot and sour soup, dumplings, and Singapore noodles. When I saw the Spring Garden menu, though, I knew I had to change things up a little. I went with the Tom Yum soup, which might be the best Tom Yum I've had. The broth was lovely and the ingredients tasted fresh. There was even plenty of shrimp in there - nice big shrimps, too. There was a little spice to excite my tongue and, while I certainly could've had it spicier, most folks who look like me would've probably been sweating.
The Singapore Noodles come with choice of protein or combination, so I chose the latter (extra spicy.) Again, more than satisfactory! Hot, fresh, and tasty. Not dried out as though food had died in the pass. Overall, a great experience!“

“For a little café, it delivers so much! Family run, minority business. Sandwiches cold and hot are really good. Also serves coffee/ tea, drinks, candy, baked goods. Make sure you ask for TWO eggs on breakfast sandwiches since they usually only use one egg. In NY, all breakfast sandwiches standardly are made with two eggs. I'm sure the shop pays high rent and taxes and happy to support a local business in the Inova hospital location.“
