“We had a great dining experience today. The food was absolutely delicious and beautifully prepared. Our server was very attentive from the moment we arrived, making us feel welcome and well taken care of throughout the meal. The drink we ordered was excellent—well balanced and full of flavor. On top of that, the manager came by our table to check on us, which we really appreciated. Overall, outstanding service and amazing food. We will definitely be coming back!“

“Hands down the best vegan Ruben I’ve ever had. The rye bread was toasted perfectly, the sauerkraut was tangy, the smoked tempeh was a delicious stand in for corned beef, and put together with the dressing and the cheese it was melt in your mouth delicious. “We had our wedding at the Commentary on 5/31/25 and we could not be more thrilled with our experience. Olivia Martel and Chef Fran were PHENOMENAL to work with. Anything we wanted, we got. We wanted a low key, chill wedding, and decided on stations and the pasta bar with a plethora of appetizers and the execution was a 10/10. We loved having the whole bar and restaurant to ourselves in Ballston and welcoming guests from across the country and being in the Commentary’s/Westin’s care. They took really great care of us and we couldn’t be more grateful for the most beautiful day of our lives.“

“I came to Astor after a long day of work to eat and decompress, and I was greeted with so much hospitality and kindness. I was gifted lentil soup along with a complimentary pastry to eat with my espresso. This experience was one of my favorites. It was such a blessing to experience the kindness of others in such an unexpected way. The falafel pita was so fresh and delicious, the fries were just right. The espresso had such a smooth flavor as well. I’m very impressed and will definitely return in the near future.“

“First time in Arlington, all the way from Annapolis and it was such and amazing vibe, our waitress kelsy was 5 stars took very seriously my GF allergy and was making sure with the kitchen, very knowledgeable of the Menu and she was very Nice. Will definitely go back for Food and hospitality.“

“My wife and I had lunch here earlier today and it was awesome! My half-price blue moon burger was excellent. High quality beef that was cooked to perfection. The Wrangler grilled salmon was was not overcooked and ithad great flavor. And my cup of cowboy chili really hit the spot. 😋. We ordered Texas barbecue brisket and another burger for takeout, and I’m sure both of those will be great as well. Thanks Karen for the great service!“

“We had such a great experience. Lizz was our server and she was amazing!!! This was our family’s first time here and we were celebrating our son for earning straight A’s on his report card. They gave him the most delicious donuts and Lizz made really excellent dish recommendations. We will return for sure!!“

“Cafe Colline is spectacular. I had a toddler with me, was dressed in an adidas track suit, and wanted real food as we waited for someone working in the area. Most of the customers were much better dressed and without a child. Nothing wrong with this, just painting the picture. The staff could not have been nicer and more professional. We were greeted with open arms, sat immediately, and served with absolute professionalism. My food (the fish) was so good I considered licking the plate. They don’t necessarily have a kid’s menu but offered numerous things to make a toddler. I went with the burger and fries. They complimented this with numerous dipping sauces and made the burger to order. The charge was minimal and fair. I always clean up after him as toddlers can be messy and they insisted on letting them clean up (I did it anyway). Restrooms were spotless and the kitchen area you pass was very clean and well organized. It’s a small spot full of big talent. This will be a regular for us. A must dine.“

“We hosted a business reception here following a conference and we were so impressed with the Highline team for being so accommodating and responsive to our group's needs. We pulled the reception together pretty last-minute, and yet the Highline helped us to make the arrangements without any hassle. We will certainly be coming back!“

“Top tier place. This is the type of spot that has been needed in Arlington for quite some time with great music, atmosphere, food and drinks. All staff was incredibly polite and kept the place organized and efficient. Will definitely be coming back.“

He was incredibly knowledgeable about the food and drink menu and was able to give us an amazing sampler of focaccia, pasta, crab cakes, and a Ruben we all shared. “Outstanding bar. Great rotating drafts, stools that you can sit on, and the ambiance of a grocery store surrounding you. If you choose to shop, it is highly recommended that you spend 3-4 hours at this bar first so that you can ignore all of the paleo/gluten free/crossfit vibes that resonate. Fairly magical when paired with the top notch buffet adjacent to the bar. Anyone interested in grocery shopping loosely should investigate the possibilities of this bar. I may be wrong, but it is possible to order drinks and imbibe while you shop. Beware: you can’t leave the bar without passing the mochi case.“

“One of my favorite places to go. The food is very solid and service/atmosphere can't be beat. Prices don't feel like I'm being ripped off either like much of DC has gotten to. Management is super friendly and great to work with. Always look forward to spending time here with my friends!“

“While waiting for a flight home from work meetings at DCA, I found myself sitting at the District bar and restaurant. I ordered a surf and turf tacos and they were very good with just the right amount of kick. The airport was very busy and there were not a lot of places for a sit down meal pre flight so i was very impressed with the food, the price and the service.“

There’s an extensive draft beer selection and a speciality cocktail menu if you’re looking for something adventurous. The staff keeps us coming back.“

“I’m going to post the same review I gave on Yelp - this is a 5 Star place! After a day in DC, my family decided to try Soul Thai on our way home. What a terrific Experience. The staff were friendly and helpful. The food was some of the best Thai we have ever had. The Pad Thai was amazing. The Hang Over Noodles (Drunken Noodles) was exceptional. And the red curry was by far the best I’ve had in the area. The ambiance was quite pleasant as well. Initially we were sat in an area that was a little noisy for our taste, but they graciously moved us to a much quieter section. The owner, Nancy came over after our meal and was very appreciative of our comments on the meal. She shared with us that she personally picks the freshest ingredients she can find to ensure the quality of the food. I would highly recommend Soul Thai to everyone. We will be coming back soon.
