“An excellent dining experience from the moment we walked in to the moment we left. Beautiful decor, stylish but comfortable seating, and just good vibes all round.

All of the food was amazing and so creative, especially the beet tartare which had this vegan egg yolk that looked and tasted like a real egg yolk! The mocktails were really fun too.

Only downside is that it’s pricey for the amount of food you get, but if you’re looking for a more refined dining experience with great atmosphere and delicious food you should definitely consider this place.“

“Hands down the best vegan Ruben I’ve ever had. The rye bread was toasted perfectly, the sauerkraut was tangy, the smoked tempeh was a delicious stand in for corned beef, and put together with the dressing and the cheese it was melt in your mouth delicious. “We had our wedding at the Commentary on 5/31/25 and we could not be more thrilled with our experience. Olivia Martel and Chef Fran were PHENOMENAL to work with. Anything we wanted, we got. We wanted a low key, chill wedding, and decided on stations and the pasta bar with a plethora of appetizers and the execution was a 10/10. We loved having the whole bar and restaurant to ourselves in Ballston and welcoming guests from across the country and being in the Commentary’s/Westin’s care. They took really great care of us and we couldn’t be more grateful for the most beautiful day of our lives.“

We have tried the lamb shank with rice, chicken shawarma, chicken brochette, falafel pita with fires and the hummus. Everything is fresh and delicious. I WANTED A BURGER BUT CHANGED MY MIND AND GOT THE CHILI NACHOS. A HALF ORDER TO ME LOOKED LIKE A FULL ORDER!!!1000 POINTS FOR THE HUGE DOLLOP OF SOUR CREAM AND LOADS OF SLICED JALAPEÑO ON TOP!!!

“Cafe Colline is spectacular. I had a toddler with me, was dressed in an adidas track suit, and wanted real food as we waited for someone working in the area. Most of the customers were much better dressed and without a child. Nothing wrong with this, just painting the picture. The staff could not have been nicer and more professional. We were greeted with open arms, sat immediately, and served with absolute professionalism. My food (the fish) was so good I considered licking the plate. They don’t necessarily have a kid’s menu but offered numerous things to make a toddler. I went with the burger and fries. They complimented this with numerous dipping sauces and made the burger to order. The charge was minimal and fair. I always clean up after him as toddlers can be messy and they insisted on letting them clean up (I did it anyway). Restrooms were spotless and the kitchen area you pass was very clean and well organized. It’s a small spot full of big talent. This will be a regular for us. A must dine.“

“Top tier place. This is the type of spot that has been needed in Arlington for quite some time with great music, atmosphere, food and drinks. All staff was incredibly polite and kept the place organized and efficient. Will definitely be coming back.“

“Average for a hotel restaurant. The convenience of being right inside The Westin is great, but the quality just doesn’t quite deliver.

The “focaccia” turned out to be rye bread with caraway seeds, not what we were expecting. We ordered it mainly for the whipped feta, which made for an interesting pairing. However, we did enjoy the assortment of pickled vegetables, honey, and butter on the side.

The meatballs were okay, nothing memorable. The pastrami sandwich was a letdown; we’d recommend skipping it.

On a positive note, the drinks were solid, reliable and well-made, as you’d expect from a hotel bar. Cheers!“

“Outstanding bar. Great rotating drafts, stools that you can sit on, and the ambiance of a grocery store surrounding you. If you choose to shop, it is highly recommended that you spend 3-4 hours at this bar first so that you can ignore all of the paleo/gluten free/crossfit vibes that resonate. Fairly magical when paired with the top notch buffet adjacent to the bar. Anyone interested in grocery shopping loosely should investigate the possibilities of this bar. I may be wrong, but it is possible to order drinks and imbibe while you shop. Beware: you can’t leave the bar without passing the mochi case.“

“While waiting for a flight home from work meetings at DCA, I found myself sitting at the District bar and restaurant. I ordered a surf and turf tacos and they were very good with just the right amount of kick. The airport was very busy and there were not a lot of places for a sit down meal pre flight so i was very impressed with the food, the price and the service.“

“I’m going to post the same review I gave on Yelp - this is a 5 Star place! After a day in DC, my family decided to try Soul Thai on our way home. What a terrific Experience. The staff were friendly and helpful. The food was some of the best Thai we have ever had. The Pad Thai was amazing. The Hang Over Noodles (Drunken Noodles) was exceptional. And the red curry was by far the best I’ve had in the area. The ambiance was quite pleasant as well. Initially we were sat in an area that was a little noisy for our taste, but they graciously moved us to a much quieter section. The owner, Nancy came over after our meal and was very appreciative of our comments on the meal. She shared with us that she personally picks the freshest ingredients she can find to ensure the quality of the food. I would highly recommend Soul Thai to everyone. We will be coming back soon. You can dress up or go casual here, both are fine. I'd say you could bring children if you wanted to, however the crowd seems to be more young adults.“

“I rarely write reviews, but my family and I had such a wonderful experience that I wanted to share it. We reserved a table for 6 for a birthday dinner for my brother and his family. The Waiter was superb, filling glasses each time they became even a bit low and promptly attending to us throughout our visit. He was very knowledgeable about everything on the menu and had a fun sense of humor as well. The food was delicious. From the Bruschetta appetizer to our entrees, which ranged from Spaghetti and Meatballs to more sophisticated fare, each of us loved our food. The portions are generous and present a great value. Desert was tasty as well. The atmosphere is cozy and friendly as well. If you want high quality Italian food with excellent service at a fair price, then I highly recommend this restaurant.“

When it comes to the food we tried the sushi roll I think I took the dragon roll and it was good but when it comes to the prices I can say it’s a little expensive to this quality.
