“I’m going to post the same review I gave on Yelp - this is a 5 Star place! After a day in DC, my family decided to try Soul Thai on our way home. What a terrific Experience. The staff were friendly and helpful. The food was some of the best Thai we have ever had. The Pad Thai was amazing. The Hang Over Noodles (Drunken Noodles) was exceptional. And the red curry was by far the best I’ve had in the area. The ambiance was quite pleasant as well. Initially we were sat in an area that was a little noisy for our taste, but they graciously moved us to a much quieter section. The owner, Nancy came over after our meal and was very appreciative of our comments on the meal. She shared with us that she personally picks the freshest ingredients she can find to ensure the quality of the food. I would highly recommend Soul Thai to everyone. We will be coming back soon. “I thought I had booked the omakase experience, but realized I accidentally selected the wrong option, which was disappointing at first. The staff explained they prepare omakase for a set number of guests, so they couldn’t accommodate us last-minute.
That said, the manager and his staff, our wonderful server completely turned the experience around with their kindness. They comped part of our meal, brought out desserts for my husband’s birthday, and even treated me to a mocktail. It was such a thoughtful gesture and made the night feel really special.

The service was warm and attentive, and we still had an amazing time. I’ve already booked omakase for next week and can’t wait to come back!

Look, I live in Old Town Alexandria, VA, where there are some of the best Italian restaurants on the East Coast but those restaurants do not compare to my Maggiano’s. I seriously have to drive out of my way, Springfield, to get the Best Italian on the East Coast. It’s worth every second. The cuisine inside this Maggiano’s tastes exactly like my Italian grandparent’s cooked it. I frequent this restaurant at least once or twice a week. “Went tonight, met the owner at the door. I was very impress and can see why it's so popular. Servers were all very nice. Food was great and reasonably priced. Got the short rib which was excellent as were the pomme puree with it. Inside was very nice and had a good selection on the menu. Almost got the pasta but glad I did not. Think a lot of the entrees were in the 25-35 range though of course more expensive stuff. It was crowded but not very loud, which was good. Solid winner, and wishing the owner the best, he seems to know about this as well as Human Misery (his words).“

Since I was dining by myself, I was seated at the bar on the first floor--which I don't mind as it provided me a nice view of the yakitori station. I visited on a Friday evening so it was a little busy, but since I was on the first floor the atmosphere was calmer compared to the second floor. Jack was the only server on the first floor but he was prompt with my orders as well as the other customers on the floor. I ordered the grilled large intestines/daechang with a side order of kimchi as well as a light lychee martini. I've had daechang before, but I gotta say the daechang over here just tops it. They're marinated in this addicting sauce and the intestines were grilled perfectly. That chewiness and greasiness I normally get from eating just one piece of daechang from anywhere else, I surprisingly did not get after eating a few pieces here. I definitely would go again and try out their other menu items, especially their yakitori!“

They made the entire planning process easy and stress-free, with clear, quick, and efficient communication every step of the way. They were incredibly accommodating. The food was great, my favorites were the funnel cake fries and the guacamole. The Cider was delicious!!! The venue itself is fantastic for hosting events, and I highly recommend ShipGarten for birthdays, gatherings, or any special occasion. One of the things I love most is that they also host dog-friendly events, which makes the place even more special! I had an amazing time and will absolutely be using ShipGarten for future events!!!“
