"Where everybody knows your name and they're always glad you came." Just add terrific live music, great acoustics, and the best dance floor around! Truly impressive across the board - friendly, welcoming and FUN. Pete, Kelly and their team are true professionals; they love their work and make sure everyone feels welcome. Pete personally goes from table to table - when he's not joining the band/playing guitar! Kelly is wonderful, kind, warm, and consistently books the BEST bands around. Bartender Bo is indeed "super cool" and funny. Servers Mario and Andrea are helpful, attentive, efficient, and keep everyone very well-fed. Chef Pete (different one) regularly impresses with tasty appetizers, entrees, salads (Greek is a fave), desserts, and more. More than worth a visit - keep going back! I'm proud to be a regular (OK - groupie/super-fan) and my nights at Pete's are true weekend highlights. Thanks to everyone at Pete's for providing night after night of great food, music, and community! “I was in town for work and my cousin that lives in the area swore up and down that this is the best Ethiopian restaurant around. When we got there on Valentines evening, place was packed! Wait was over an hour, and our host Edilawit (great service) called us as soon as bar seats opened up…Waited quite a while for the meal(a star down for that), but meat combo was fire! Combo comes with kitfo (ethiopian beef tartar), gored-gored (cubed rare beef), Gomen be’siga (collard greens and beef) and tibs (stir fried beef) Yum!!! Meat eaters dream. I was doing a little dance in my seat after each bite. I didn’t care for the gored-gored, but the other three were best I’ve had in a long time. What made the whole experience even more enjoyable was feeling like I was truly in Ethiopia with all the Ethiopian patrons there (99%), this is also how one knows if a restaurant is truly authentic;-)

“Chicken Fried Rice from this restaurant is causing me to reevaluate Chicken Fried Rice from every other restaurant I frequent for Chicken Fried Rice. As far as my palate is concerned, they have raised the bar. And the Bangkok Beef Stew is spectacular.“

We had the French dip with the crispiest tator tots (why is this so hard for Restaurants to do?) the bread was soft and the Au Jous was more like French onion soup. So unique and so good! The meat board was also so fresh with large shrimp and tenders that were just dusted with flour. So crispy and so good. “I hosted a friend’s birthday party at ShipGarten and I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. From start to finish, the staff was absolutely amazing. They made the entire planning process easy and stress-free, with clear, quick, and efficient communication every step of the way. They were incredibly accommodating. The food was great, my favorites were the funnel cake fries and the guacamole. The Cider was delicious!!! The venue itself is fantastic for hosting events, and I highly recommend ShipGarten for birthdays, gatherings, or any special occasion. One of the things I love most is that they also host dog-friendly events, which makes the place even more special! I had an amazing time and will absolutely be using ShipGarten for future events!!!“

The staff were friendly and helpful. The food was some of the best Thai we have ever had. The Pad Thai was amazing. The Hang Over Noodles (Drunken Noodles) was exceptional. And the red curry was by far the best I’ve had in the area. The ambiance was quite pleasant as well. Initially we were sat in an area that was a little noisy for our taste, but they graciously moved us to a much quieter section. The owner, Nancy came over after our meal and was very appreciative of our comments on the meal. She shared with us that she personally picks the freshest ingredients she can find to ensure the quality of the food. I would highly recommend Soul Thai to everyone. We will be coming back soon. “Last night was my husband’s and my first time dining here, and it truly left an impression. One of the first things we loved was the restaurant’s commitment to giving back to the community. As soon as you walk in, there’s a sign explaining how meals are donated to local women’s shelters and how guests and staff can pay it forward by purchasing meals for those in need. Anyone facing a tough time can simply take a ticket from the wall for a prepaid meal such a thoughtful and meaningful concept.

Our server was absolutely phenomenal (I wish I remembered her name! -- She had long red wavy hair). She took the time to walk us through the menu, shared her personal favorites, and recommended several must-try tacos. Let me just say… she did not miss!

Every single bite was bursting with flavor. We tried the birria, Havana, Rus & Gus, and Peruvian chicken tacos, along with the street corn salad and veggies on the side and everything was incredible. From the food to the service to the heart behind the restaurant, this place checks all the boxes.

Those waitresses are AMAZING!!! ANDREA and IVY are beyond exemplary, very patient, and very friendly and informative with menu choices.

“The food appears... lesser quantity than in DC. The biscuits were smaller, and harder. I saw no bacon. The sausage (pork or chicken) was not "week done" as with the DC restaurant. Also there wasn't any shrimp. I got there at 9:am, and was told reservations were needed. So I Sat at the bar. Def a 3.5 rating on food here“

Our family has enjoyed Open Road since it opened and it has consistently remained a go-to dinner spot for our family or a game watching spot with friends. only slight drawback is parking, but worst case there is parking about 2 blocks away.“
