“The best diner in America! The customer service was excellent. We received our food quickly. The quality of the food was delicious. I had pecan waffles, over medium eggs with hashbrowns that came with ham chunks and melted cheese. I also had a T-bone steak. All good! I highly recommend this place.“

“We came through Roanoke and ate at Hollywood Restaurant & Bakery. Food and service were fabulous but I want to rave about their customer service after we left. I called a few days later because I had left a jacket on the back of my chair. I asked if I could pay to have it shipped to me. They offered to ship it for free. It arrived at my home in Chesapeake, VA in great condition. Thank you so much. That is true customer service.“

“The fried chicken, mashed potatoes and gravy, and greens are out of this world. They give you enough for two meals. The chicken is fried to order and incredibly tender. The greens are delicious and are shockingly vegan! They use smoked apple cider vinegar for flavor. For an appetizer, we tried the Akara, black eyed pea fritters. So good! I had a pear and bourbon craft cocktail that was smooth and delish. So good I had two. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable. The ambiance is great. It's a small place with nice decor. Great bar! The music is not too loud. Overall, one of the best in Roanoke. I look forward to returning and trying some new items. You cannot go wrong with that chicken!“

“Love love love the fish sandwich! Every time I take my first bite I still say hm mm this mtf good but i will say yall getting smaller now with them. But keep the fresh taste great seasoning going. I have had a Gyro dinner and Souvlaki Chicken Dinner. Both are great! Served hot with salad and fries. Both of my meals were to go.

The baklava is probably the best I’ve ever had and I’ve had a lot. It’s amazing!!

The woman who I guess is the owner is very sweet and welcoming. I will add this place into my rotation.

As for atmosphere, it gives mom and pop old school diner vibes.“

“Some probably have already been here, but this was my first time eating here on the restaurant side. If you haven’t already, be sure to swing by and give them a try! That salad was HUGE but all those veggies were probably the freshest I’ve ever gotten anywhere! And those season fries/chips were made to order, so hot and fresh, and cooked right! The server was working both the restaurant side and the bar side. There were like 2 birthday parties happening over there. Highly disappointed that when i called ahead of time to ask if they had a dessert table, was told No. We had a party of 10 for a birthday celebration, so I brought a cake. I was a little complicated with my order ( as always 😅) I ordered 2 hotdogs with the larger weenies ( a must ), one with chili, plain chopped onions, mustard, and slaw. Second, same thing but with no slaw and grilled onions with a side of fries. Folks they had the fries I grew up on which takes me back to the 80s, CRINKLE CUT FRIES PPL 😀😀. Everything was very good and I would like one thing to change. I love chili without beans so I wish they would give you option of beans or no beans in chili. Regardless of that I still gave 5 stars across the board. The cooks deserve a HUGE HIGH FIVE 👏 because they brought it while making and preparing my food. The surrounding makes you think of ol school 80s and that's a 5 star rating to me. Don't forget to grab a desert, my suggestion is the Seasonal Pumpkin Cream Cheesecake, yummy 😋 So if you want something different give them a shot, I don't think you will be disappointed.“

“This is a nice Applebee’s. I went here for Thanksgiving and was satisfied with my experience. Since it was Thanksgiving, this Applebee’s had a limited menu of boneless wings and a few other items. I got a lemonade with no ice, which tasted good, and the boneless wings with extra hot buffalo sauce, which also tasted good. The bathroom here was quite clean. Unfortunately, these wings caused me to have to poop three times after eating them. I gave this Applebee’s five stars because it has nice wings and excellent service, with a very nice host and waitress.“
