It is a grill restaurant. Table service is not available. Customers order at the counter to takeout but general seating is available. Food is good and prepared fresh. Portion sizes are good. The cost is reasonable. I recommend for quick meal.“

“This place is a true local gem. Food is of very high quality, and everything is consistently cooked to perfection. Their consistency is actually really impressive - I’ve never been disappointed by a single thing, and I’ve eaten A LOT of their food. But everything is so good, so I haven’t really made my way outside of the same few items from their menu. The difference is that the staff actually care about their customers, and take pride in their food. It’s not so common these days, and is a pleasant surprise. “Love this place! Dinner is always 10/10 but service, we had Alena or elena and she was just the sweetest young lady and she knows was shes doing, and she was honest too with her recommendations! We always have a tuna and oysters! Then steak this time we shared the cowboy ribeye and added scallops which by the way is not on the menu but elena said they could do it and it was delicious!! 5 star service“

“It’s been two years since I’ve been back here and I ordered the same lovely cranberry salad with warm goat cheese on top. The difference in two years was that the goat cheese was 1/4 of the original size. It made me sad. Servers were great. Outdoor location was wonderful. Food was just so so.“

“Our server Jayla was awesome! She was very friendly. We went on a Saturday afternoon around 2 p.m. weather was gorgeous outside and the outdoor patio was well covered, but we decided to sit inside. The restaurant wasn't too crowded. Jayla asked if it was our first time at Blackwall Hitch, which it was, so she went over the local favorites. She recommended the flaming crab dip and it was delicious!!! Jayla offered us extra Naan chips which I thought was generous for an upscale restaurant. I asked if she could bring us extra with a to-go box to take the rest of the dip. We also had the mahi mahi tacos and chicken-pancetta flatbread - both were great. Jayla often checked on us. We had a lovely time and the service was great! Thank you!“

“I don’t ever leave reviews due to my laziness, but today I decided to leave my very first review for this lovely place! This is our first experience at The Study. I honestly didn’t know what to expect as the restaurant seemed quite small.

We knew about the l live piano performance but it exceeded our expectations. Derek’s performance was so lovely and he sings really well! We love musics like such so it definitely made our experience even better!

Sean served us and he is absolutely a pleasant person to be greeted by - very friendly and sweet. Take his recs!

The food? It absolutely blew my mind - so healthy, clean, yet very flavorful. I can tell that ingredients were very fresh. We had arroz con mariscos and fried fish with avocado rice. I got obsessed with the avocado rice that came with the fried fish - rich in olive oil and lime (i think)! We absolutely cleared our plates leaving nothing behind. Chef Guzman gave us complimentary gaspachos and desserts for us to try and she came to ask how things were, which I thought was lovely.

Cocktails - delicious!! we had the one with coconut cream and another one with guava. SO GOOD! I think we’d even come back just for the drinks as well.

We already know that we’ll be back here again very soon. Before coming in I thought it was a bit pricey but having had the experience the experience is worth every penny. I highly recommend for cozy family dinners and date nights. You won’t regret!!“

“Really enjoyed drinks here! Cute spot hidden in plain sight. Cool entry ambiance, good vibes inside. Great and unique cocktails.

Only thing is that they seemed incredibly understaffed. The very kind host/waiter seemed incredibly overwhelmed and was virtually the only staff member we saw in the establishment. Note that they were at capacity, and we were early, so they didn’t let us in until at our reservation time and even a bit after.“

“This was a nice break after a long day exploring Mount Vernon. We had a reservation (highly recommend) but stood at the hostess stand for 15 minutes while they tried to figure out seating for a large group with no reservation. Even when they finally left with that party they never acknowledged us and I had to speak up about our reservation. Maybe they were flustered with trying to appease the larger group I'm not sure. The waitress was wonderful. Food was pretty good. I do not recommend the steak frites which was recommended to me. The steaks were tough not cooked the way I ordered and the frites were large potato wedges. It was quite noisy but I think it was mostly because of the small children we were sat close to in a small room.“

“Lively neighborhood bar. Can be busy during the happy hour which ends at 7 pm weekdays. I was standing at the bar for a little over five minutes just before happy hour ended and it was so busy (on a Friday) that the bartender couldn't get to me until my watch said 7 pm. Initially he refused to honor the happy hour price, but when I explained that I had been standing there for a little while, he agreed. Good selection of beers.“

“Celebrated a birthday in an invitingly warm atmosphere at Kiln. We began with liquid libations. Ordering a beer became a little tedious as a combination of a recent power outage with other unknown factors led to finally finding one satisfactory beer! Things became brighter with the yummy Kiln bread and soft butter enhanced w/flaky sea salt & seaweed (sounds odd but adds to the taste). For mains, the birthday boy thoroughly enjoyed his short ribs as I enjoyed the catfish accompanied by a yummy succotash. though one companion while enjoyed the catfish but found the succotash too vineagary for her taste and the other diner did not get excited over the rock fish. We did have a lovely pinot noir which paired well with the dishes. We ended the meal with an excellent carrot cake. A minor point, although upon our arrival the host quickly acknowledged we were celebrating a birthday as did the server, by the time dessert arrived, there wasn't even a candle or a hint that they remembered we were celebrating a special occasion. Finally, my double espresso was no more than a thimbleful. and the requested sugar never arrived. I will not doubt that our server said he pushed the double button, then the machine needs to be re-calibrated. The server did remove the charge which was appreciated.“

“keep in mind that the lobster roll is a warm butter, connecticut style roll which was SUPER disappointing when I had the expectations set that it would be a nice cold roll with some warm butter drizzled or added to the side.

oysters were delicious and flavorful, but pretty small in size. menu was pretty pricy for the amount of food given. I will say, although I was disappointed in the lobster roll, the amount of lobster that they give was very satisfying- they pack the roll with a ton of meat.

loved the Walrus-based / oceanic atmosphere. and yes, this restaurant is based off of Lewis Carrol’s Walrus and the Carpenter Story“

“Awesome burger place! Every burger has plenty of juicy meat and the fries are unique. I definitely recommend the classic and the mushroom Swiss burgers. The cookies are nice. The service and wait time is great(I was even given an extra cookie) Drink + burger + fries + cookies comes to around 25 dollars which is very reasonable, and especially good since it is at an airport.“
