“Looking for a fun activity with our family before Thanksgiving, we chose bowling. The prices were definitely cheaper than commercial locations. The place was clean with stations every few lanes with balls organized by color and weight. There were ramps available for anyone to use if necessary. There is also the ability to set bumpers to raise and lower for an individual in your group. You have the ability to edit your score, which is great because a few times pins would fall on their own and add to the score. There were options for scoring using regular bowling rules or other fun games. While we didn’t eat there, but there were plenty of food and drink selections. My only issue was the balls were very oily and the finger holes were very small. Staff said that’s how they were ordered but offered me a small container of baby powder to use.“

“This place is a true local gem. Food is of very high quality, and everything is consistently cooked to perfection. Their consistency is actually really impressive - I’ve never been disappointed by a single thing, and I’ve eaten A LOT of their food. But everything is so good, so I haven’t really made my way outside of the same few items from their menu. The difference is that the staff actually care about their customers, and take pride in their food. It’s not so common these days, and is a pleasant surprise. It’s the reason I will always eat there.“

local favorite, this feels like it needs a Michelin star but it has the prices of a mom and pop restaurant. Everything from the appetizers, entrees, drinks, and desserts make it a place I’ll go out of my way to come back to when visiting.“

It's not an Instagram trap and located in a modest shopping center where the anchors are a Home Depot, post office, and animal hospital, so IYKYK. My only request is they bring their roast duck entree back to the menu, that was my go-to and so delicious.“

“I truly can’t be more appreciative of Jay for going above and beyond for us! He came into work early to make what was probably the most delicious cheesecake my co-workers and I have ever tasted. It was absolutely perfect and made our birthday/good-bye/happy retirement celebration that much more special.

Not only was the cheesecake incredible, but the customer service was above and beyond in every way. Jay’s kindness, professionalism, and willingness to accommodate our request meant so much. You can tell he genuinely cares about his customers and takes pride in what he does.

“First time back since renovations and wow what a story this place is. It started with the chicken & waffles. The meat was really pink and hard to bite into so I decided to do french toast instead. (Minus the almond cookies.) and it was delicious but it was soft as butter so I had to request a spoon 😮 On top of that, the bartender complimented not only my neurodivergent tattoos 🏳️‍🌈♾️ but also gave me a free mocktail. Though I will warn you it’s real strong. I tasted mostly lemon but it had a hint of maple and tea. Which is ironic because strong taste is why I prefer tea over coffee (if I had to pick between the two). Regardless, these people deserve some love especially in the economic crises we have.“

“My boyfriend and I visited Cooperwood Tavern for the first time, and we had a wonderful experience! We sat outside on a beautiful day, and our server, Elias, was incredibly attentive and knowledgeable. As someone with celiac, I really appreciated how helpful he was in guiding me through the gluten-free options on the menu! The food was delicious, and we especially loved the baked brie appetizer with fig compote and honey. They were able to substitute apples for the bread, which made it both celiac friendly and absolutely amazing. Overall, we had a great time and would definitely recommend!“

“My husband and I had dinner on a quiet Wednesday evening. We shared guacamole which was very good with some unusual little additions. My husband had the beef steak and loved it. Again unusual ingredients made the dish very delicious. I had the pork which I had enjoyed a year ago and again I loved it! The service was very attentive. Sooooo great!!!!! Has only improved since we had to move. New setup is incredible and drinks have surpassed the original menus leaps and bounds! GO HERE!

Sets the bar by which we measure all cocktails. Never disappointed, each menu always multiple amazing options. I can count on my hands the number of times i have got a cocktail someplace else and NOT been totally disappointed in comparison.

Ambience is brilliant, lively but not too loyd. Brilliant date night. Service is always wonderful and light bites are incredible.

Brussel sprouts are the best around and the pork belly is beyond amazing.“

“this was the best experience i had for my birthday and 1st time being here and Timothy was our server and he did an excellent job with his smiles and friendliness and our wonderful bartender Jay zehring was very friendly and kept the smiles going and both were fantastic so whenever you go in greet Timothy and Jay and the drinks were very very good and food was excellent. the whole crew was very friendly and kind and greeted you will lots of smiles and the place is well cleaned and if you have never been to manchester lakes in springfield please do so. i rate them 5 stars 🌟“

“Simple small family run restaurant with American and international food. I had the ribeye lunch special, my wife had a burger. The food was excellent and the staff were wonderful. The Starline Restaurant upholds the belief that small hole in the wall or out of the way places often have the best food!“

“Honestly, this was the best service I’ve ever received! Our server/waiter was Nick and he truly made our day. So much so that we decided to leave him a substantial tip. Nick is very social aware, knowledgeable about their restaurant and items, and he thouroghly explains the highlights of their menu and a brief history of their establishment. He regularly checked in during our dinner but what really sets him apart is his high charismatic and warming energy. This was not only for our table but the surrounding tables as well. Extremely respectful and kind, and a prior service member !

Only disappointment was the wine selection. Even though Virginia has a great wine selection, there was only 1 bottle on the menu.“

“My girlfriend and I had the same cocktail which was very tasty and the 1st on menu. We ordered the tots and got something very different than expected that she could not have and i thought was fair at best. However our entrees were great. I had a very tasty steak in a good salad and her burger was modified to her liking with a little input from staff. We sat at the bar and service was good despite it being one persons first shift there. Will go back and order off the great wine selection!!!“

“Our server Jayla was awesome! She was very friendly. We went on a Saturday afternoon around 2 p.m. weather was gorgeous outside and the outdoor patio was well covered, but we decided to sit inside. The restaurant wasn't too crowded. Jayla asked if it was our first time at Blackwall Hitch, which it was, so she went over the local favorites. She recommended the flaming crab dip and it was delicious!!! Jayla offered us extra Naan chips which I thought was generous for an upscale restaurant. I asked if she could bring us extra with a to-go box to take the rest of the dip. We also had the mahi mahi tacos and chicken-pancetta flatbread - both were great. Jayla often checked on us. “We have been meaning to try Kiln for a while, and were not disappointed. The restaurant is cozy. The servers were all very dedicated and attentive. And the food was delicious! The cabbage in particular impressed us. Kiln is working hard to serve its hotel clientele from around the country while competing in Old Town - a difficult line to walk. I hope Kiln will continue to learn and grow and become another Old Town staple.“

“Excellent evening at the Woodbridge, VA NYAJs yesterday! We were greeted by the manager Usy( I’m not good at names) who was working on clearing tables. We had a couple minute wait for our outside table. There were 3 of us and we ordered drinks and appetizers to share. Desi was our server. She was attentive and cheerful (not annoyingly so). The Bang Bang Shrimp, Potstickers and my favorite Ahi Tuna Wontons were wonderful! Cocktails as well! We all had been regulars up to about 18 months ago as the service was atrocious. So glad NYAJ is back. This is my 2nd visit in a month. Will be back soon. Kudos to the new manager and staff. Keep it up!“
