“Looking for a fun activity with our family before Thanksgiving, we chose bowling. The prices were definitely cheaper than commercial locations. The place was clean with stations every few lanes with balls organized by color and weight. There were ramps available for anyone to use if necessary. There is also the ability to set bumpers to raise and lower for an individual in your group. You have the ability to edit your score, which is great because a few times pins would fall on their own and add to the score. There were options for scoring using regular bowling rules or other fun games. While we didn’t eat there, but there were plenty of food and drink selections. My only issue was the balls were very oily and the finger holes were very small. Staff said that’s how they were ordered but offered me a small container of baby powder to use.“

It came out with a large amount of white rice which was not in portion to the seafood/sauce and I was disappointed that no other side such as bread/cornbread came with it. It was just ok and not too spicy and the rice was between nutty & mushy. I've eaten here several times and will do so again but didn't enjoy this dish.“

“This place is a true local gem. Food is of very high quality, and everything is consistently cooked to perfection. Their consistency is actually really impressive - I’ve never been disappointed by a single thing, and I’ve eaten A LOT of their food. But everything is so good, so I haven’t really made my way outside of the same few items from their menu. The difference is that the staff actually care about their customers, and take pride in their food. It’s not so common these days, and is a pleasant surprise. It’s the reason I will always eat there.“

“I got the spicy chicken sandwich with no pickles, baked Mac and cheese with the banana pudding for dessert. The sandwich with the red sauce 8.8/10 nice healthy pieces of chicken, the Mac and cheese 9.2/10 the top was nice and crispy and the cheese was super creamy. Now the Banana pudding 9.8/10 nice thick pudding not watery at all the wafers were perfect bringing my total score to 27.8/30. the portions are well balanced!! Yeah I plan on returning to try 3 more random items from the menu“

“My husband and I had dinner on a quiet Wednesday evening. We shared guacamole which was very good with some unusual little additions. My husband had the beef steak and loved it. Again unusual ingredients made the dish very delicious. I had the pork which I had enjoyed a year ago and again I loved it! The service was very attentive. “First time back since renovations and wow what a story this place is. It started with the chicken & waffles. The meat was really pink and hard to bite into so I decided to do french toast instead. (Minus the almond cookies.) and it was delicious but it was soft as butter so I had to request a spoon 😮 On top of that, the bartender complimented not only my neurodivergent tattoos 🏳️‍🌈♾️ but also gave me a free mocktail. Though I will warn you it’s real strong. I tasted mostly lemon but it had a hint of maple and tea. Which is ironic because strong taste is why I prefer tea over coffee (if I had to pick between the two). Regardless, these people deserve some love especially in the economic crises we have.“

“Would highly recommend this spot! The food was absolutely delicious. Would highly recommend the trout, the short rib, truffle mac and cheese and the bread pudding to top it off! Also, kid friendly with adorable sippy cups and a kids menu and everything in between(high chairs, changing tables in the restrooms etc). Absolutely worth every cent! Vaulx was our waitress and she was attentive, cheerful and always had a smile on her face. I might be bias but I would recommend requesting her as your waitress and you won't be disappointed! It's a great feeling to have a restaurant in your hotel where you can have a great meal, a few drinks & zero worries. Their breakfast is from 6 am - 9 am on weekdays & 7 am - 10 am on the weekends. They also offer an evening social hour. If you're a guest of Embassy Suites their room service hours are 11 am to 11 pm, everyday including weekends.“

“Excellent evening at the Woodbridge, VA NYAJs yesterday! We were greeted by the manager Usy( I’m not good at names) who was working on clearing tables. We had a couple minute wait for our outside table. There were 3 of us and we ordered drinks and appetizers to share. Desi was our server. She was attentive and cheerful (not annoyingly so). The Bang Bang Shrimp, Potstickers and my favorite Ahi Tuna Wontons were wonderful! Cocktails as well! We all had been regulars up to about 18 months ago as the service was atrocious. So glad NYAJ is back. This is my 2nd visit in a month. Will be back soon. Kudos to the new manager and staff. Keep it up!“

“We wanted to try something new. I came fro brunch, but when we were seated the brunch menu was not provided. The waiter took a while so my husband had to get up and get the brunch menus. I asked about the cocktail towers, what he explained was not what I saw later on for other patrons. Had he explained it better my husband and I would've ordered one. Once we finally placed our order the waiters follow up was very poor. We finished our food and the plates were never cleared from the table. Then had to ask go the check and a box for my son's leftovers. The customer service needs some work or the waiters have too many tables I'm not really sure what the issue was.“

“Our server Jayla was awesome! She was very friendly. We went on a Saturday afternoon around 2 p.m. weather was gorgeous outside and the outdoor patio was well covered, but we decided to sit inside. The restaurant wasn't too crowded. Jayla asked if it was our first time at Blackwall Hitch, which it was, so she went over the local favorites. She recommended the flaming crab dip and it was delicious!!! Jayla offered us extra Naan chips which I thought was generous for an upscale restaurant. I asked if she could bring us extra with a to-go box to take the rest of the dip. We also had the mahi mahi tacos and chicken-pancetta flatbread - both were great. Jayla often checked on us. We had a lovely time and the service was great! Thank you!“

“I tried their food for the first time yesterday, based on a recommendation of a new employee at my place of work. I was absolutely shocked by how delicious the sandwich was. The chicken was crispy and juicy and the rooster sauce was dynamite! After lunch, I recommended it to another coworker who then also ordered it for lunch and tried it for the first time. She said she had the same experience I had- life changing! If you’re looking for a chicken sandwich, this is the place to go!“

“Heard this place was great for Sunday brunch. Made a reservation and was so pleased with the ambience when seated; when looking over the menu, we felt certain we had been handed the wrong one because it was 11am and there were no brunch items to be found! But sadly, there is only this one menu regardless of day or timing. Very disappointing!! We pieced together some soup and appetizers as a “brunch” meal; the food was very good and our waitress very kind. However, we did send our comments to the chef expressing dismay that a brunch spot offered zero menu items that were even close to being considered brunch options!“
