“One of the best seafood boils I’ve had in a long time. Everything was cooked perfectly. It was so easy to get out big chunks of crab without much hassle. The server was very attentive and brought use extra butter without asking. I tried fried oysters for the first time, they were so crispy and well seasoned. The atmosphere inside was nice and cozy. Wouldn’t be able to tell how fire this place is from the outside. 10/10 recommend, go get yourself some seafood!“

“The take out is super good. I live in NJ and go to Va. very often. Being near NYC I know Chinese food. This is excellent. Fresh and truely yummy and great value for the price. “Friend and I had a girl's night at the Lillian last night. We enjoyed the Ceviche Jipijapa and a caviar slider to start. This was my first time having caviar and it was delicious with the creme fraiche it came with. The ceviche was a flavor combo that I would never have thought of, and it was wonderful...we ate every bite. I had the Ecuadorian inspired seafood rice and the Honey Roasted a duck legs. When I tell you those duck legs were juicy and cooked to perfection, and the attention to detail, the little leaves of cabbage had hints of clove and cinnamon. The Seafood rice had a touch of heat to accentuate the complex flavor profile of the meats and seasonings. The service was engaging and prompt and the atmosphere was warm/relaxing. Definitely suggest this place for a great meal and experience. Will be coming here again!“

“I’ve had lunch there several times and the food was excellent every single time. Fresh, carefully prepared and presented in an unassuming and light atmosphere. It’s not until you experience fresh fish prepared perfectly (seasoning that compliments instead of masking flavors, cooked to temperature and doneness perfection, never soggy or dry, not masked by over frying, and just melt in your mouth delicious) do you understand just how really wonderful and valuable this spot is for Richmond. You will not regret trying this place. And you will definitely go back again and again. Desserts are also made on site and are worth saving room to enjoy. The atmosphere was delightful, enhanced by the duo playing holiday music; the food was excellent (as usual) but what made this a truly wonderful dining experience was the service. Our server, Trinity, was upbeat, efficient, and most of all really seemed to care if we were having a good meal. Without being intrusive, she checked on us several times to be sure we were doing ok. “On 08/03/2022, my wife and I brought our cousins here to celebrate their 50th anniversary. The food and service was excellent. Our waiter was Sean. HOWEVER, during the reservation process, I was asked at least twice if there was a celebration and if so what type. I indicated on both occasions that it was a anniversary. I just assumed that when I was asked about the occasion that this occasion would somehow be acknowledged. It wasn't. (Happy anniversary). I heard the waiter at the table next to ours wish the celebrants a happy anniversary. Also, based on other reviews on this site, I noticed that a dessert was given to the celebrants as a memento. Not to our party. As I said, the service and food were excellent but missing the little "happy anniversary" left me and my wife feeling a little empty.“

There was a couple walking up the stairs in front of us as we went in, and when we got to the door, a waitress said “I need that cup” and yanked it out of the woman’s hand as she walked off. She was the same waitress that sat us, but not who took our order. The waitress who took our order was extremely rude almost the entire time. A couple of times she brought food out and put it on our table AS she’s walking by. I stopped her once, to ask if we could have our bread warmed as it was cold. She barely stopped as she said “no.” And continued walking. The waitresses were rude and made me feel so uncomfortable with their terrible attitudes. Atmosphere is a little cramped but it was fine. The food was AMAZING though. It was really hot, and the pasta portions were GENEROUS.“

The waitress check on us several times to make sure we ordered and received everything before the kitchen closed at 9:45pm. I do not normally enjoy the white sauce at any restaurant in Virginia. Although I am proud that it's a Virginia thing, so I at least try it. I loved the white sauce there! I believe I fell in love with white sauce that long ago Every white sauce I have had since then has been a disappointment and caused me to not like it. My only complaint is that it is hidden behind a berm on Hull Street and it is confusing because it faces Hull Street but must be entered through the shopping center parking lot…..but it is well worth your time to seek it out.“

“We left our brother's after a cookout, and our son was hungry??‍♀️. McDonald's is not an option, and instead of Royal Farms or stopping in the city, we decided to stop here, and get crab legs. It was $20, and they seasoned and steamed them for us. We took them home, melted our own butter, and my son and I ate our fill! They were delicious! Thankfully, Dad just cracks them, and doesn't eat them. Thankful that we visited, and will keep it as an option in the future.“
