I discovered it about a year ago and get take-out every month or few months for a cozy Friday night, and the food has been consistently great every time. They're generous with their portions, and they're also really accommodating with the little extra requests I make. My only complaint is how staggeringly expensive it is ($20 for pad thai, before extras, and you pay an addition amount for basic proteins). But, overall they're awesome!“

“Wow, really good Thai food. Reminds me of home. It’s very difficult to find good som tum because most places make it too sweet in order to meet local tastes in the States, so it’s always a good sign of quality when the som tum is good, and this one’s excellent. Nice balance citrusy,and lots of crunch and umami just the way it should be. Their other dishes are excellent too, the first place I’ve eaten from that reflects what authentic Thai food actually tastes like. “Food was delicious. Our party had Pad See Ew, Panang Curry, Drunken Noodles, Hang Over Lo Mein, and Thai Fried Rice and everyone enjoyed their meal. Service was very attentive and came to refill drinks and check if we needed anything multiple times. We were there to celebrate my son's graduation and they brought out some complimentary Thai donuts! We definitely plan on returning.“

The staff were friendly and helpful. The food was some of the best Thai we have ever had. The Pad Thai was amazing. The Hang Over Noodles (Drunken Noodles) was exceptional. And the red curry was by far the best I’ve had in the area. The ambiance was quite pleasant as well. Initially we were sat in an area that was a little noisy for our taste, but they graciously moved us to a much quieter section. The owner, Nancy came over after our meal and was very appreciative of our comments on the meal. She shared with us that she personally picks the freshest ingredients she can find to ensure the quality of the food. I would highly recommend Soul Thai to everyone. We will be coming back soon. “WOW! I live in DC and have tried basically every Thai place in DC but rarely make it to VA. Thai is some of my favorite food. My main complaint with most DC places is that the food is NOT spicy enough. Not the case here! I got the drunken noodles tonight and hands down they were the spiciest best I've had in the area! Love this place! New favorite Thai spot in the DMV! I'll be back and VERY SOON! THANK YOU FOR MAKING THAI FOOD SPICY AS IT SHOULD BE!“

Mixed reviews on the food: Papaya salad was a downer. Lacks that nice flavor with fish sauce and papaya slices were sliced a bit too thick. Tom kha gai and chicken wonton soups were a winner. Lovely coconut milk flavor for tom kha soup. Fried tofu was pretty decent. The sweet and sour sauce for crispy flounder rocked, but I was expecting a slightly fresher flounder than what we had. Overall a pretty nice experience and we may return if we pass by the area again.“

“I’ve ordered from My Home Thai before and have eaten at the Falls Church restaurant. It’s a beautiful place, and the food is honestly some of the best Thai food I’ve had.

Today my Uber Eats order got mixed up with someone else’s. Before I even had to reach out, the restaurant called me to explain what happened. They told me to keep the food I received and that my order was already on its way.

That meant a lot to me. They could have waited for me to complain, but they took care of it on their own and made sure I got what I ordered. The food already kept me coming back. The way they treated me today made me a loyal customer. Thank you, My Home Thai.“

“We were a large group so we shared each other’s entree. The papaya salad and mango sticky rice were outstanding. The salad was fresh and had the perfect amount of heat. The sticky rice featured juicy sweet sliced mango and the rice delicious and not overly sweet.

Expected better larb. Wasn’t bad just ok. The pad Thai was also ok. Again not bad, have had better. Going to a new Thai restaurant I use Pad Thai as one of my baseline dishes. A Thai restaurant that can’t absolutely plate killer Pad Thai can’t earn five stars.

I really enjoyed the pork Masaman curry. It was flavorful and everyone remarked about it. The crispy chicken was also delicious.

We also shared beef curry that was generally liked. Pineapple rice with shrimp was ok, nothing special.

Plan to come back and try something else. Was expecting something more.“

It’s a relatively new establishment, but it’s become a staple restaurant for our family as the food is consistently delicious and the service is always friendly and accommodating. The majority of Nalak’s dishes can be modified for spice level and to be vegetarian, and there are many options for adults and children alike. I am obsessed with the drunken noodles (extra spicy!) and Thai green curry, but their drink menu also has me constantly coming back for more. If you are a matcha fan, the ceremonial matcha drink list will guarantee a return visit! Highly recommend Nalak Thai as the best Thai food in Northern Virginia!“

“This was one of those deals where I viewed the menu before I went to the restaurant. I sat outside because it was a nice evening.
I had the duck roll appetizer and crying tiger.
Everything came out pretty fast. I thought I had ordered duck spring rolls, but this turned out to be like a burrito, with julienned cucumber and hoisin sauce inside. It was alright, but I wasn’t really a fan.
The crying tiger was cooked perfectly medium rare like I asked. The sauce was a little thinner and lighter than I’m used to getting back in Thailand, but it tasted alright. The beef paired well with the steamed rice I opted for. I think, in retrospect, I would have preferred the nam Tok beef dish and the shrimp spring rolls. Maybe next time.“

“Best Cashew Chicken in Northern Virginia!!

We have been going to Natta Thai for years and their cashew chicken is my comfort food, one of my favorite birthday dinners and just all around best meals. The chicken is always cooked perfectly, and the sauce is amazing, no other cashew chicken comes close!

The Satay chicken is also incredibly good and they give you great portions. I always get at least 2 meals out of the cashew chicken.“

The Massaman curry was quite good, nice and rich and the beef quality was pretty good. My favorite dish was the Sukiyaki (stir-fried clear noodles in homemade house special sauce with seafood, egg, cabbages, carrots, and scallions), great balance of sweet and spicy and the noodle were super soft. “Had read some mixed reviews but we gave it a shot and we were greatly impressed! We called ahead for our party of 10 and they had our reservations ready and accommodated us nicely. The service was excellent and the food was fantastic. Our party ranged from age 14 to 55, some loved Thai and some had never tried it. There was something for everyone to enjoy on the menu. Plus, it was very reasonably priced. We had a large party and it didn't break the bank, as they say. Great food and comradery was had by all! I don't normally write reviews, but again, I was impressed. Definitely recommend!“
