“One of the best Thai food experiences I’ve ever had! Authentic homey Thai food, friendly people, and super cozy decor! Even though it’s a small and inexpensive place, everything was awesome! The Thai milk tea was very refreshing, the Red Curry was authentic and flavorful, the duck was crispy and seasoned perfectly, the fried chicken was airy and crunchy, and the Khao Soi was my favorite, it was super flavorful and amazing texture! If I had to be nitpicky, the Thai tea was a bit too sweet, the duck was a bit salty and the fried chicken was a bit underwhelming in flavor, but overall the meal was very well rounded. The interior of the restaurant was also very quaint and cozy, with very cool decorations like fresh flowers and some nice paintings. Even all the plates and bowls had great designs (we were joking to see if we could buy one from them lol). The server was super nice and helpful and dishes came out piping hot decently quick. Overall, the best Thai food I’ve had in a very long time, definitely worth a visit!“

Service was very attentive and came to refill drinks and check if we needed anything multiple times. We were there to celebrate my son's graduation and they brought out some complimentary Thai donuts! We definitely plan on returning.“

“WOW! I live in DC and have tried basically every Thai place in DC but rarely make it to VA. Thai is some of my favorite food. My main complaint with most DC places is that the food is NOT spicy enough. Not the case here! I got the drunken noodles tonight and hands down they were the spiciest best I've had in the area! “Decided to try mae ornnit with my sister based on the strong reviews they have. Our server provided excellent, attentive service from start to finish. Mixed reviews on the food: Papaya salad was a downer. Lacks that nice flavor with fish sauce and papaya slices were sliced a bit too thick. Tom kha gai and chicken wonton soups were a winner. Lovely coconut milk flavor for tom kha soup. Fried tofu was pretty decent. The sweet and sour sauce for crispy flounder rocked, but I was expecting a slightly fresher flounder than what we had. Overall a pretty nice experience and we may return if we pass by the area again.“

“I’m going to post the same review I gave on Yelp - this is a 5 Star place! After a day in DC, my family decided to try Soul Thai on our way home. What a terrific Experience. The staff were friendly and helpful. The food was some of the best Thai we have ever had. The Pad Thai was amazing. The Hang Over Noodles (Drunken Noodles) was exceptional. And the red curry was by far the best I’ve had in the area. The ambiance was quite pleasant as well. Initially we were sat in an area that was a little noisy for our taste, but they graciously moved us to a much quieter section. The owner, Nancy came over after our meal and was very appreciative of our comments on the meal. She shared with us that she personally picks the freshest ingredients she can find to ensure the quality of the food. I would highly recommend Soul Thai to everyone. We will be coming back soon. “I had a great experience at Nalak Thai. The food was so delicious, and the portion sizes were really good as well. I also ordered the Ube Thai tea, and it was amazing. Not only did it taste great, but it was also presented so cutely. I loved the heart-shaped straws and the little teddy bear on the drink. It made the whole experience feel extra special and adorable.

Stopped by after an event, and we were warmly welcomed by one of the staff. We did takeout and the portions were generous!

We got chicken cashew, pad Thai and pad see yew with their fresh Thai tea.

Service was quick, and the surrounding ambiance is pleasant. Very clean with fresh flowers on the tables.

But really, the staff were so friendly and kind, and the food is delicious!

We tried this place together with my husband on Saturday for dinner. We liked the ambiance and the fact they actually put some thought and effort into the decor.
We were seated and served water immediately, our waiter was very kind.
We ordered steamed dumplings and fish cake for starters - both came in still very warm and soft, seemed very fresh and they were absolutely delicious!
Then my husband took spicy duck, and I took mango curry with tofu. Both full of flavor, fresh and quite spicy.
We enjoyed that the staff gave us some space, instead of constantly checking in as it sometimes happens…
We will definitely be back, can’t wait to try sth new!“
