“Ordered a papaya salad for delivery... lord have mercy... I haven't tasted Thai spicy like this in a long time! Chugging water with tears streaming down my face right now but I want to keep eating because it's so good LOL. If you like SERIOUS heat, this place is for you! If not, I'm sure they have other delicious options for you as well. I always thought I can handle spice pretty well but I think I'll ask for less next time XD Also got mango sticky rice for dessert. The rice is a little dry/hard tbh, but still good. I recommend this place!“

“***** Rice Pot Asian Cuisine has an extensive diverse menu I cannot find in my neighborhood. We highly recommend anything with eggplant in it. Our food was very tasty. Will definitely come back. (I don’t know why I can’t give it a star rating)“

“Tucked just off Georgetown’s bustling main street, Rimtang is a charming ode to Thai street food, capturing the vibrant spirit of its inspiration. The menu offers familiar classics with familiar flavors in an unpretentious setting.
The spring rolls were an instant hit—perfectly crisp with a delicate balance of crabmeat and black mushroom that avoided being overly crabby or earthy. The papaya salad was a refreshing palate cleanser, with a subtle undercurrent of heat that played well with the crunch of green beans, cherry tomatoes, and peanuts.
The spicy crispy calamari was the crowd-pleaser of the table. Imagine bite-sized calamari poppers—light, crunchy, and addictive. Every piece delivered a satisfying snap, and they vanished from the table as quickly as they arrived. The laab tod brought the dry heat I crave at thai spots. Crispy, aromatic bites of kurobuta pork coated in toasted rice powder had a dry, lingering spice that kept me reaching for more.
The panang curry with chicken was a comforting dish that didn’t overdo it. The chicken was tender, swimming in a well-balanced coconut curry with kaffir lime. A side of white rice tied it all together without overwhelming it.
The thai lemongrass pandan tea arrived in a playful freezer bag with a straw—a whimsical touch and a nod to its street food roots. It wasn’t overly sweet either.
The space is clean, though the booths are a little snug for comfort. Our waiter was clearly new and stumbled a bit with the menu, but their kindness and prompt service smoothed over any hiccups. While it doesn’t reinvent the wheel, it nails the essentials—crispy textures, balanced heat, and fresh flavors. For now, it’s a solid stop for a satisfying thai fix.“

“I’m going to post the same review I gave on Yelp - this is a 5 Star place! After a day in DC, my family decided to try Soul Thai on our way home. What a terrific Experience. The staff were friendly and helpful. The food was some of the best Thai we have ever had. The Pad Thai was amazing. The Hang Over Noodles (Drunken Noodles) was exceptional. And the red curry was by far the best I’ve had in the area. The ambiance was quite pleasant as well. Initially we were sat in an area that was a little noisy for our taste, but they graciously moved us to a much quieter section. The owner, Nancy came over after our meal and was very appreciative of our comments on the meal. She shared with us that she personally picks the freshest ingredients she can find to ensure the quality of the food. I would highly recommend Soul Thai to everyone. We will be coming back soon. THANK YOU, Nancy!!!!“

“We love eating here - my favorite is the cream cheese wontons and my husband likes the Pad KraPow. Lots of vegetarian options (though the curry is all made with fish sauce, at least they warn you up front). Cocktails are around $10 and they have some yummy non alcoholic drinks too.“

“my favorite hole-in-wall thai ! finally i found a Thai place with a curry sauce that features great veggies + meat, decent portions, and silky smooth. The pangang and green curry were delicious...the green curry was great but the pangang was chef's kiss. We also got the Pad Thai and combo basil fried rice... excellent! As if that wasn't enough...there were chics kicking a** behind the counter. Li, her sister, and a young girl were all very friendly and quite the cooks in the kitchen.
PS at first glance the parking looks terrible but there's more & better parking behind the building.
Great job ladies! I'll be back!“

“My wife and I were here on business for a couple of weeks and saw this place when we Googled Thai food this place popped up. Well worth the 4.7 stars and more. We had Shrimp Khao Pad and Pad Thai. Both dishes were delicious and more than enough in portion. Service was fast and friendly. Would definitely eat here again and recommended dining for anyone looking for a Thai fix. Price was great as well….$37 for both meals and a hot Ginger tea. Thank you Happy Thai for an enjoyable meal!“

“WOW! I live in DC and have tried basically every Thai place in DC but rarely make it to VA. Thai is some of my favorite food. My main complaint with most DC places is that the food is NOT spicy enough. Not the case here! I got the drunken noodles tonight and hands down they were the spiciest best I've had in the area! Love this place! New favorite Thai spot in the DMV! I'll be back and VERY SOON! THANK YOU FOR MAKING THAI FOOD SPICY AS IT SHOULD BE!“

“Absolutely extraordinary! Courtside Thai Cuisine is a gem in the heart of Fairfax, VA. From the moment you step inside, you're embraced by a warm, welcoming atmosphere and the aromatic allure of authentic Thai cuisine. The food is a culinary masterpiece, each dish a symphony of flavors harmoniously blending together. The Pad Thai is a revelation, with perfectly cooked noodles and a balance of sweet, sour, and savory that dances on the palate. The Green Curry is another star, its richness and depth of flavor truly showcasing the art of Thai cooking. Service here is impeccable. The staff are attentive, friendly, and go above and beyond to ensure your dining experience is nothing short of perfect. They are knowledgeable about the menu and more than willing to accommodate any dietary preferences or modifications. But what truly sets Courtside Thai Cuisine apart is the ambiance. The decor is elegant yet cozy, providing an ideal backdrop for both casual dinners and special occasions. It's a place where every meal feels like a celebration. In a world full of dining options, Courtside Thai Cuisine stands out as a beacon of culinary excellence and hospitality. It's not just a meal; it's an experience, a journey through the vibrant, flavorful landscapes of Thailand. A true Fairfax treasure, I can't recommend it highly enough! 5 stars all the way!“

“Great experience. The food and friendly atmosphere reminded us of our time in Thailand. We tried several dishes, all of which came out right. Service was attentive, and the the restaurant was tidy, with an overall neighborhood feel. Passing through the area the next day, we decided to stop in again, and left equally satisfied. Seemed to be vouched for by local patrons. We observed out-of-state visitors enjoying the hospitality; commenting positively and engaging with staff between the comings and goings by a steady flow of pick order patrons. The location and ample parking made coming and going a breeze each time. We'll be back.“

“Had read some mixed reviews but we gave it a shot and we were greatly impressed! We called ahead for our party of 10 and they had our reservations ready and accommodated us nicely. The service was excellent and the food was fantastic. Our party ranged from age 14 to 55, some loved Thai and some had never tried it. There was something for everyone to enjoy on the menu. Plus, it was very reasonably priced. We had a large party and it didn't break the bank, as they say. Great food and comradery was had by all! I don't normally write reviews, but again, I was impressed. Definitely recommend!“

“This is the best thai restaurant in NoVA, owned by such a lovely family, who also used to own Happy Thai near Mosaic. We know because we used to go to Happy Thai all the time but since the owner change it wasn’t the same. Through luck we learned that the owner family actually owned this restaurant first! We were ecstatic and indeed, it was the familiar taste that we remember from Happy Thai 2-3 yrs ago!“

“I ordered Kee Mow(drunken noodles) & Gai Sub - Eggplant for takeout. Since this is my first time, I ordered mild for drunken noodle and medium for gai sub. I don’t know why I thought I could eat 2 meals by myself, they give you good amt of food. Enough for me to eat for dinner then lunch and dinner on next day. Both tasted so good!!
Medium was perfect level of spice for me, not too spicy but has a nice kick. Would definitely go back again.“

“Love their calamari and any of their noodle dishes. This has become a staple. Very friendly waitresses and excellent service. Authentic cuisine!
Update on August 2024. This restaurant is no longer Raibieng. It is now Mum Aroi. I went there with my family. They have all the staple Thai dishes. We thought it was good! Happy that another thai restaurant took its place. And Duangrats is right around the corner!“

“Im glad I found this place after just moving to the area. I ordered over the phone to go and the customer service was excellent, especially as I was indecisive. I ended up ordering the pineapple fried rice and it was perfect except it was full of what I think were dates, which I am not a fan of in my rice. So maybe just a heads up to people about that. Also, I like places that allow for customization. Like I shouldn’t have to order 2 entrees just to get pineapple fried rice and mixed vegetables. A small upcharge to add some mixed vegetables would be perfect. Other than that, I have no complaints. I will be back, and hopefully they can hold the dates, and maybe replace with cashews!“

“First time here and the food is exactly as I have heard. The classic chiken satay with peanut sauce was great. The masumon curry was served in a large bowl with rice and the chicken rama was just as delicious as the curry. Neither were spicy and both were wonderful.“

“We ordered online from here last night. The online ordering process was easy and gave options for spicy levels, which I appreciate. The food was ready in the time I was told online. The food was absolutely delicious! We ate every bit of it. The only thing I wish was that I had gotten extra rice. The rice container per meal was kind of small. I did get the extra peanut sauce, and it was perfect.“

“One of the best Thai places I’ve been to in a while. The food was amazing and the prices are very reasonable.
For starters, we got the only chicken tom kha and the yum caramelized dried fish salad. Both were out of this world. The tom kha was packed with chicken and vegetables, but the soup itself was good enough to eat on its own. This was the first time we tried a caramelized dried fish salad but it’s probably our favorite now.
For entrees, we got the fish prik glua and crispy duck with basil. Both were wonderful. Each came with a good amount of fish/duck and vegetables. We were too full to get desert but will definitely try next time.“

“We've ordered Thai dishes from this restaurant several times, and we really love it. The flavors are perfectly balanced and remind us of the dishes we had while traveling in Thailand. Unlike other Thai restaurants, where the food tends to taste sweet due to the heavy use of sugar, this restaurant's food is just right. Just thinking about its dishes makes my mouth water, and I can't wait to order from this restaurant again soon.“

“The moment you step in you notice that it's run by elderly people and that's when you know the food's going to be authentic and good.
I'm not Thai myself so I'm not sure how accurate the food is but me and my friends ate our respective dishes down to the last grain of rice and got to chat with one of the ladies for a little bit too.
Based on location I can see why it can appear to be empty, but I saw a number of people grab to-go orders so I know there are people here who like this spot too.
Pricing is pretty reasonable with a good array of options so if you're looking for a new Thai spot to check out I'd recommend this one.“

“I'd have to say this is one of the ideal spots to visit after a date at the Kingstown movie theater. They are just a hop across the street and have some unique decor. You'll find paintings, Eastern styled furniture, rugs, and a lot of natural light.I visited for the first time after catching an 11:30 show at the theatre and was seated upon entering. I got the summer rolls, a long island, and some grilled steak, onion, and vegetable dish, which hit the spot.I recommend it without reservation. They had an abundant staff at the ready, and we're attentive and responsive during our visit. My party was consistently checked upon, and the dishes were top quality, and the prices were respectable. The bartender delivered on the drinks, and I look forward to visiting again.“

“Enjoyed lunch with a friend here. We sat outside and while the weather was lovely, the trucks going by on Connecticut Avenue made it hard to hear. Our meals of the lunch special were tasty and spiced just enough to enjoy without mouth burning. I liked my Pad Ginger with Pork served with a green salad with a memorable peanut sauce. “We tried this because it has such a high rating. It was good. My hubby got pad thai, one daughter tried the pork balls and curry puffs, the other daughter the thai basil rice, and I got the volcano tom yum. Everything ranged from ok to good - nothing to run home about. I can say that the lychee smoothie was fantastic though!“
