“ABSOLUTELY phenomenal. If you’re even thinking about trying Ned’s New England Deck, just go! You won’t regret it. The owner, Steve, is so personable and you can tell he genuinely cares about his business. He made an effort to talk to us (even our 4-year-old), which was really sweet and made the whole experience feel more personal. I also loved how he hyped up his staff, you can tell they’re appreciated. The food though… wow. The brown butter lobster roll was seriously amazing! The soft, flavorful bread and the lobster was so buttery and sweet. I’ve had lobster rolls before (even at the beach), and this one honestly beats them. The fried fish melts in your mouth and the truffle fries are addicting. My family and I left so impressed. The food was incredible, and Steve’s kindness just made it even better. He even shared how to make one of their sauces at home, which was such a nice gesture. So again, thank you Steve and staff for an amazing dinner & becoming our go-to seafood spot. We can’t wait to try more and checkout the playroom upstairs!“

“What an experience! I came from Alabama on a work trip. My fellow employees and I were trying to find a seafood restaurant and stumbled upon this restaurant on a Wednesday. And boy did we hit the jackpot! The food was amazing first off. Second off, we had been wanting to do karaoke and there was a DJ! We sang at the table while we were eating and had such an amazing time. The atmosphere is phenomenal! I actually haven’t been here in a quite a while, but this time I came for dinner with my mom, my husband and my son (6 months old). It not only met but exceeded them. Mast-o Musir, yogurt dish with Persian dried shallot and rose petal, was exceptional— more elevated and nuanced than any we’ve had. The mushroom Khoresht stew with white truffle was another highlight, offering perfectly balanced flavors something hard to do with white truffles and a satisfying richness, complemented by the perfectly crunchy Tahdig, iconic golden rice crust. The braised lamb shoulder which Yacine suggested was the undeniable highlight of the meal I which each dish was excellent. Tender and flavorful, it was paired beautifully with texture. It’s a signature dish that rivals the best we’ve ever had, bringing to mind the legendary Bo Ssam pork shoulder from David Chang’s Momofuku— bold, unforgettable, and expertly prepared. The Gormeh Sabzi, short rib stew with its delicious sour depth, was excellent but couldn’t quite match the lamb’s showstopping brilliance. Two very minor points. While the food and service are exceptional, the main dining room lighting would benefit from dimming. A water filtration water system could make a big difference as well. JOON has firmly secured its place as a must-visit dining destination for us. We can’t wait to return and explore more of the menu.“

“I’ve been to Mason’s Famous Lobster Rolls a few times now, and it never disappoints. The lobster is always fresh, generous, and perfectly seasoned. The rolls are simple but done right—soft, buttery bread that lets the lobster shine.

I usually go for the Connecticut-style roll (warm with butter), and it’s consistently on point. Their lobster bisque is also a must—rich, creamy, and packed with flavor.

Service is quick and the place is clean, which makes it an easy go-to when you’re craving something solid without the wait. Definitely one of the better spots for a legit lobster roll around here.“

“This is our fourth time ordering from Chan’s Kitchen, and they’ve been very consistent. The food is always fresh, flavorful, and reliable, which is why we keep coming back. Friendly and welcoming staff.

The only reason I’m giving 4 stars instead of 5 is that the egg rolls can sometimes be a bit greasy, but tastes really good.
Overall, still a solid go-to spot for Chinese food and definitely recommended.“

“I took my daughter to Hunan Cafe for dinner tonight after school, and she loved it so much she immediately declared it her new favorite restaurant — and demanded to write a review. Who am I to stand in the way of a tiny food critic?

“I understand that it is incredibly challenging for a manager to determine the appropriate time to ask extremely loud patrons to pipe down a bit. The bar area was extremely loud with women who were frequent after-work guests squealing with the bartender who knew them and also with their friends and co-workers. That's understood and those customers usually filter out and don't stay too late. However, in the main dining room, there was a family of about 7-8 who had two inebriated women at their table who were so loud, and the group was there for so long, that it made me uncomfortable for ALL of the diners. Capital Grille is a wonderful dining experience and the bill for our group of four was several hundred dollars. For that level of experience I would expect that the setting would be comfortable. *Our server was extremely professional and friendly. The food was wonderfully prepared and top quality as to be expected at Capital Grille.“

This was my first time ordering from this restaurant and I'm not gonna lie, I was very skeptical when I saw there was a soul food restaurant on this side of the DMV area. Most often when I see a place selling soul food in this area, my expectations are low and my disappointment is high. However, when I talked to the gentleman behind the counter while he poured a bowl of butter over the candy yams, I thought this place might have a chance. And, Lord have mercy, I was right to give this place a chance. I was not disappointed at all. It was everything soul food is supposed to be: seasoned, flavorful and unhealthy if you have high cholesterol, or blood pressure.
