“Kazoku in Edmonds is one of the best dinners we have had in a long time! Their uni was an amazing experience! The sushi was all very distinct and delicious. We enjoyed the yuzu beer which paired well with our saba shioyaki but the egg custard soup was the crown jewel!!! Oh the silky texture and delicate flavor was my most favorite. The service and chefs were a joy, we talked of sumo and laughed at each others jokes as we tried their absolutely spot on reccomendations. Thank you Chef Bobby, Chef Robert and Chef Stevan! Thank you Garret, Nancy and Sumin <3 it was a pleasure to top it off with red bean mochi to go!!“

Getting 8 shrimp felt pretty generous for the price. The star of the dish might’ve been the rice dipped in the teriyaki and oil sauce at the bottom. The service was friendly throughout. “I was blown away by my experience here! Most sushi bars tend to have sub par sushi quality but here you can order it specifically and have it made fresh for you on a conveyer belt that is up above the normal sushi belt. The staff is wonderfully kind and the touch screen ordering tool is extremely convenient when it comes to how fast orders take and calculating order total. The staff frequently changes soy sauce dispensers and ginger containers, while also having a slot you can insert your plates to reduce space.“

“This is an extraordinary restaurant. Small, 3 tables and 6 seats at the chef's bar. No sign out front, tasteful simplicity. You're there for the food, anyway. And the food! Japanese tends to be long on presentation, and sometimes not the flavors. This has it all. It just recently opened and we've been back already. There are 2 fixed price menus, $130 and $300, and on weekdays, there is a $70 4 course menu that was plenty of food for our geriatric appetites. The $130 menu was very special -- I can't imagine what $300 gets you...“

“This place is a hidden gem. We went with the family and the food was fantastic.
Sushi rice was well cooked, ingredient fresh and well put together. We got the rolls and a set of nigiri. Rolls were so good and the nigiri had a fat slice of fish and put together so nicely. Highly recommend, it’s of great value.

The guy behind the counter was on his game and welcoming. I think there is a kid of his around the place as well, which I personally appreciate the family environment.

“Best Sushi & Teriyaki in Lynnwood delivers exactly what you hope for in a neighborhood spot, quick service, generous portions, and consistently good food.

The Kung Pao Chicken came out hot and flavorful, with tender pieces of chicken and vegetables that still had a nice bite. The sauce had a balanced heat without being too heavy, making it a satisfying plate without the greasiness you sometimes find elsewhere.

The Grilled Chicken Bento Box was equally as good, with well‑seasoned chicken that had that perfect char from the grill, paired with fresh sides that rounded out the meal.

We also ordered the shrimp tempura roll. The roll was very thick and hard to eat with chopsticks.

Overall, it was a good quick meal. It’s the kind of place worth stopping by when you’re in Lynnwood and craving teriyaki or a classic bento.“

“I’ve been coming here since I was in middle school. It was always our favorite teriyaki spot in Seattle because the family that first opened it was so friendly, and the food was always delicious.

I’ve seen it change ownership probably 3 times. The quality has gone up and down. Overall, it’s probably not as good as it used to be, but it’s still one of the better Seattle teriyaki shops.

Giving it a high rating in hopes that it remains in operation, and to hopefully motivate the owners to keep up the good work!“

We felt uncomfortable to order dessert with people eying or table. Maybe the large number of costumers makes it difficult to maintain the quality of sushi...“

Admittedly I was confused about how the bowl pricing worked so I got two proteins (also assuming the scoops were going to be half the size they ended up being) and ended up buying a really expensive bowl lol, but entirely at my own fault! “Sushi Blue is not for those who expect to be catered to. This is tremendous value sushi with great flavor, assembled for someone with a giant mouth or a dexterous set of hands and cutlery. I order the sake roll once a week or so, which gives me two-to-three meals. The wasabi is beautifully strong and flavorful. You cannot call ahead or order by phone or website. If you want it, you need to show up personally and order it. The speed of service is unmatched when they are available. When they get too many orders in, they temporarily close up shop until they catch up. The value and flavor of Sushi Blue far outweighs the inconvenience of the difficulty in ordering from them. The woman who runs the shop is very kind and pleasant. These folks work hard to provide good value and great taste!“
