But I was really disappointed when I went to pay and there was an option to add a tip. Do they not pay the staff enough? Are they treated well? Why would I need to pay a tip for just ordering food it just makes no sense“

“I had a disappointing experience on a visit. When I politely asked for a straw, the employee snapped at me and told me it would be in my bag, but there wasn’t one. I also paid an extra $0.60 for extra cheese, and it wasn’t included with my order.

I called the restaurant to let the manager know what happened, and she was kind, listened to my concerns, and asked me to come back. When I returned, she honored her word and even took care of my meal. She didn’t have to do that, and I truly appreciated her excellent customer service. While my initial visit was frustrating, the manager’s professionalism, kindness, and willingness to make things right turned the experience around. Thank you for caring about your customers. “A&W is my favorite fast food restaurant! They have the best tasting burgers and the best soft serve ice cream!? A&W soft serve ice cream is WAY BETTER than Dairy Queen ice cream! If i could buy A&W soft serve mix i guarentee i would go spend thousands of dollars on a soft serve ice cream machine just to have it all the time! LolI really wish A&W restaurants were around everywhere like they use to be, unfortunately they are getting harder to find becoming few and far between. I hope someday A&W can make a comeback and be in every city and town and with the employees coming out on there roller skates wth your food and amazing rootbeer floats! “Yesterday, I went through the drive-thru at McDonald’s, which is how I usually order. The service was actually pretty good this time — the person taking my order was nice and the overall interaction felt smooth.
The only issue I tend to run into (and it’s really my main gripe with McDonald’s in general) is that when I order my burgers plain — nothing on them, no toppings, and definitely no cheese — they sometimes forget and add things anyway. It doesn’t happen every single time, but it’s frequent enough that it stands out.
Aside from that, I’ve been pretty satisfied. Yesterday’s visit was a good one, and I appreciated the friendly service at the window.“

“The food was excellent i was on a long trip cross country and i really really really wanted some good food and oo man was it sure some real good food really made up for the horrible bus ride where the bus driver QUITE LITERALLY ALMOST KILLED US THREE TIMES FROM FALLING ASLEEP AND ALMOST GOING OFF THE ROAD like no seriously he almost killed us one of the passengers literrally called 911 and the bus was pulled over so and the officer let everyone off the bus that wanted to get off i didnt because i was traveling 2,350 miles via greyhound and didnt want to be dropped off in the middle of no where so yeah the sandwich was super good.“

It takes a good 10-30 minutes to get past weird glitches (like telling me my phone number is invalid but there's nowhere to put my number, so I started over and ran into the same issue. FINALLY, a section popped up where I could include my phone number). Other than that, the food is good and service good.“
