The Asian lady frying the food seems very on top of things and open to helping the cashier when she has a spare moment. She seems more invested than she should be, so that’s good, right? They also bring your order out to you. I’m used to them calling your name and you have to get your order at the counter. So services is above par for an Ivar’s.

She was impressed as she ordered what I had the last time, and I had the Keye Wott (which was nice and spicy but not too spicy). “Last night (a Saturday evening) was our first dinner at the Hardware Store Restaurant on Vashon Island, and it absolutely exceeded every expectation!

“First time ever trying this place I live so close to it and always drive by but I never bothered to stop by and try it until today mostly because they had a big menu they have a variety of stuff I got a molcajete frio it was really good I thought it was going to be basic but had a pretty good about of stuff on it scallops, cooked shrimp, aguachile shrimp , octopus, cucumber, purple onion I also got a huge michelada that was pretty good too our server was nice for sure will be coming back .“
