Quality: Best Sushi I have ever had in my life. Period! Kazuko has my highest recommendation! Me and 3 other friends went there for happy hour and we had the best time! SHOUT OUT to Jason who made the most delicious sushi on earth! The taste, freshness, texture of the sushi and sashimi are top-notch. My favroite is the toro and the melting sensation once placed in my mouth feels amazing! The spider rolls, nacho sushis, sashimi and sushi sets are all dazzling and tasted incredible! I can’t say enough good things about this place! It is hard to pick my favorite!

Appearance: A picture speaks a thousand words! They all look like masterpiece and art! It was such a satisfying experience just watching Jason putting the sushi together! I really appreciate him putting many efforts and time to serve the best sushi to us!

Portion size: We loved it! Everything is the perfect size and great portion!.

Friendliness: Service is solid! Jason is the best chef and he is awesome! We enjoyed spending time with the chefs and the servers! They are all very nice and friendly. They created a heart-warming, welcoming and nice atmosphere for us to have the best dining experience. I love talking to each of them and we are so grateful for their wonderful service!

Timeliness: Food came in no time! We went on a Monday night so not many people is in the restaurant, but I really appreciate them for providing the best service to us!

Environment: Very clean and nice, The lighting is perfect and I loved how everything looks, very simple yet modern. It really brings me to Japan and I loved it! Ver ycozy and warm atmosphere and the nice people make it feels like home!

Location: Great location with plenty of parkings outside, It is very easy to find the place! If you don’t have a car just like me, it maybe kind of hard to get there but I am sure with the lightrail opened up to Lynnwood, it will definitely make things easier!“

“This is easily some of the best Asian food I've ever had!!!We got the teriyaki chicken, orange chicken and the honey Korean fried chicken and 2 sushi rolls. The portions where amazing for the price and all the chicken was super tender. The staff were super nice and they Evan gave us a stir-fried vegetables on the house. “Had this awhile back and had to have it again when I was back in town. Had the Katsu Curry this time which gave what I expected. The server (Yeong I believe) was super friendly and hospitable beyond what I expected! Perhaps he just liked us or we were a big group but he served us some complementary sides that were delicious. The fried gyoza was bomb. The whole place was decorated for Halloween. I hope to return to this place sooner than later.“

“Edit: I think my original review doesn’t do the justice to this place so I’m updating it. This is an absolute best sushi place in Seattle. Sometimes I want sushi on Sunday and they are closed on Sunday which is the only reason I try sushi in other places. And every time I end up disappointed and regretting ordering from anywhere else, because nobody matches the quality of Sam’s sushi. Sam’s sushi are the best in the city.

“Amazing sushi place in Ballard that I love to go all the time. The chef there is so sweet, makes art out of the sushi!

My favorite rolls are musashi roll, perfect amount of rice, veggies, and fish. It’s my go to sushi spot whenever I crave for sushi and they never disappoint!

The seating can be little tricky as it’s for smaller groups. But I haven’t had huge issues when I visited with friends.

Parking is street parking but I’m able to find one every time I visit :)“

“Ichi Bento consistently has the best Teriyaki in Seattle. Their chicken teriyaki always get a nice char on the outside that keeps it juicy and complements the sweetness and umami of their teriyaki sauce. They’ve been a part of the community for decades, and I hope they stay for many to come!“

“This is a nice little neighborhood spot, service was a little slow as they only had one server and I believe one cook short staff. The food was great and I was excited they had the fish red bean dessert as I haven’t had that since we lived in Japan many years ago as a kid!! They didn’t have nato my dad’s favorite and no potatoes in the chicken curry. They forgot my dad’s miso soup she didn’t know if she brought it out or not. They definitely need a little more help so if you know anyone looking for a job they should apply.“

I've never really been a fan of teriyaki historically just as a matter of preference, but I've also never sought it out where it is known to be excellent, such as in Seattle.
I can say this is the highest quality teriyaki I have had thus far and was well worth it, although it's still not shifting my general preference.

I'll have to have some in Japan, LA, and Hawaii before I rest my final judgment on teriyaki as a whole.“

We ordered Agedashi tofu, Oyster, Sashimi combo large, and Richard Roll. All were very tasty.

“Hidden gem!! This feels like a take out place when you walk in. However, they do have a nice place to sit in the back with a balcony. The sushi is delicious. I recommend the undecided roll. They also have yummy options for appetizers and meals. It was a good break when I walked back from Greenlake.“

I was surprised to be the only patron around 6pm and worried maybe the place had a reputation for poor quality, but I think maybe this place has location working against it. It's right on Roosevelt with a small sign, and you probably wouldn't notice it if you were riding by rather than walking. That's the only reason I can think it was empty on a Saturday night because the food was fresh and delicious, and the service was friendly and laid back yet attentive.
I was even given a complimentary shooter of subtly sweet juice with berries in it! There was fun 90s music playing, and I had an overall great experience. Admittedly I was confused about how the bowl pricing worked so I got two proteins (also assuming the scoops were going to be half the size they ended up being) and ended up buying a really expensive bowl lol, but entirely at my own fault!
