“There’s a reason this place is 4.5+ stars plus right now — good sized portion, food made fresh to order and friendly service! Nice mom and pop shop — chicken teriyaki was nicely grilled thigh meat with just the right amount of sauce (not too much)! Chicken Katsu was made fresh. The inside is also super super cleanConvenient location — just west off the 179 exit on I5“
“This place, hands down, had the BEST CURRY IVE EVER TASTED! It was everything I wanted and more! The employees were friendly and made me feel welcome even though I didn't have any idea of what to do in the restaurant! It can be quite overwhelming with all the trinkets and novelty items!!! They are everywhere! Be prepared if you're an impulse buyer!!! Although I do have to admit, on the flip side, the owners must be serious HUSTLERS!!! LOL. Hope this post can help you decide whether or not to eat there!!! (((TOTALLY DECIDE TO EAT HERE! ITS WORTH IT MY FRIEND!!!!)))Parking: The parking is kinda all over the place with a parking lot that looks like it's been through 2 wars. It's kinda a crazy looking place! But the food is absolutely worth it!!“
“I'm not the biggest fan of Teriyaki but I was craving it and saw this little place on the corner street and tried it out and I was not disappointed! The food was beautifully cooked and made with love. The employees working are so friendly and patient with their customers, that's something I look for. It's probably the cleanest Teriyaki place I've ever been to. I'm highly impressed and will be going back as a happy customer!“
“Absolutely love this place. Family owned, Banh Mi’s are great. Growing up in a Vietnamese household, we’d come up to Seattle from Olympia to get banh mi’s. Rise and shine is one of the restaurants that replicates that same taste I remember. Highly recommend.“
“This small restaurant is a great Asian fusion spot in Edmonds. I’ve been here 3x now and have been pleasantly surprised by their dishes and cocktails. The place has a great selection of Asian inspired foods along with a list of specials served weekly (or monthly?). I highly recommend booking a reservation a few days in advance as they’re always full both weekdays and weekends. I’ve managed to snag a spot at their bar without a reservation the last 2x I’ve gone during dinner hour. The soup dumplings, Brussels sprouts, yakisoba add katsu chicken, and homemade mac salad are some of favorites. I’ve also tried their beef rice bowl and tacos (on the speciality menu) which have been tasty as well. I haven’t made it to happy hour yet, but it’s on the list! Give this place a try next time you’re craving Asian food.Vegetarian options: Whole part of the menu is dedicated to vegetarian diet“
“It's probably one of the best Thai restaurants near the Mill Creek and Bothell area. I have only tried three of their dishes, the Phad Thai, Drunken Noodles, and Pad See Ew. All three were amazing. Plenty of flavor and freshly prepared. There are plenty of portions in each order. The cost was fair. Nowadays, with everything costly, understand the higher than norm prices. The business owners are feeling the high costs. I don't feel like I overpaid with the food I got. There are several reasons, there is no way I could make this type of dish even if I could find a video on YouTube. Plus, it's better to just order authentic Thai from a real business. Also a pleasure to reward the taste buds from time to time and support our local businesses.“
“Little loud. Great sushi for the price. Easy to seat 2 people quickly, small wait for a table if you have more people. Very friendly staff. Vegan and gluten free options. I visit every 2 weeks when I get my paycheck.Vegetarian options: Vegan optionsDietary restrictions: Gluten free options“
“This place has definitely become one of my favorite spots for coffee and bubble tea! If I could give it 100 stars, I totally would. Not only are the food and drinks amazingly delicious, but also the people who work there provide such a wonderful service and experience that makes you feel welcomed. Every time I go I try to get something different (since there are so many options), but I absolutely love the Nutella Taiyaki and the tiramisu coffee :)“
“The workers greeted us very warmly & they were all working hard & skillfully like a well oiled machine...you could tell the servers & sushi chefs were well seasoned. It was a very warm day and we were seated by the front windows, which even with the thick curtains, was still acting like a radiant heated wall! Not a big deal for me as I run cold, but if you are a hot person...this might have bothered you. I was actually wearing a tank top so I was perfect...it was double date night. The fish on sushi & sashimi platters was buttery & fresh. Lots of roll varieties too just how I like it. We started with some appetizers, nice sized shareable portions of tempura calamari & chicken karage. We also ordered agedashi tofu & veggie & shrimp temp, perfect portion sizes for a party of 4 for appetizers. No one ordered any entrees or bentos...although they look really good, we stuck to sushi. They give you a sushi list and a pen and you mark down what you want yourself...I like that too, more control on server making mistakes! I love trying ikura(salmon roe) at different restaurants to see if the chefs marinate the delicate eggs or not. I was pleasantly surprised to find this order of ikura marinated. It was slightly sweet with a hint of sake and not too salty as some restaurants will make it. This order was rich & creamy with the addition of quail egg. We ordered a small sashimi combo with salmon, yellowtail, toro & another white fish...I don't know if it was bonito or what, they didn't go over the items when they dropped the dish...but it was the one in the front on the left. They have an extensive roll list which has a ton of California based rolls topped with numerous options. All really good, but California roll base is kind of boring...maybe they could switch up the centers a little. We got Las Vegas roll...completely deep fried, yummy if you like that type of roll, Polar Bear roll, Cali roll topped with white tuna & seared salmon...YUM, a lemon salmon roll, Cali roll topped with salmon & lemon segments...they go so well together!!!! We also had a Firecracker roll which is a spicy tuna roll topped with more spicy tuna & fried minced garlic...really good with a little extra heat, maybe some jalapeños minced up in there but so tasty. We also ordered a White Christmas roll which is a shrimp tempura roll topped with white tuna, Avacado & a wasabi cream sauce...super tasty. Can't have sushi without a Spider roll & I always have an ume shiso roll...this one had lots of julienned cucumbers in it & a negihama roll to appease my clean, raw fish craving. Excellent sushi & the wait for our food was good. We had reservations & I definitely recommend taking the time to make one if you want guaranteed seating, I saw a lot of walk ins turned away or told they'd have an ample wait. If you're up north, I'd highly recommend Sushi Zen.“
“Best Thai food I've had in Seattle for the past 5 years. The flavors are well balanced. Not super sweet like typical Thai food elsewhere. The Panang curry was flavorful with a generous serving of meat. The Pad Kee Mao was 10 out of 10! It has a smokey flavor, soft noodles, and plenty of meat and veggies. Service was okay since I came during dinner rush, but the servers were nice and accommodating. I will be a frequent customer for sure!“
“This is our go to for teriyaki, only done takeout cuz it’s a easy dinner/lunch on a work day. Best bang for your buck with decent quality food. For $16 you get teriyaki/katsu with salad, 4 pieces of California roll and side of tempura plus miso soup! When pho prices are $12~18 nowadays, this place is GREAT value. The people who works there are always nice and work quickly.“
“High quality and tasty rolls! Had the Salmon Lemon, Shrip tempura, Spider rolls. Fresh ingredients and excellent portions. Also tried the spicy ramen which was delicious and very well presented in the bowl. Kids had the Katsu Don and gobbled it up. Servers were attentive and overall inviting. Will come again!“
“I've been in Seattle only 4 weeks but I've ate out of this place about 15 times so far nicest teriyaki chicken I've got ever and I travel the world for a living I've been around the world twice and spoke to everyone once this is by far my favorite spot for teriyaki“
“Hangry Panda is a dream come true! I have celiac disease, so it’s not very easy for me to find places where I can eat safely and know I won’t be gluten poisoned. I have 100% trust in Hangry Panda when it comes to preparing delicious GF food! Everything on the menu is good, their GF fried chicken is like a balm to my soul after years of sad GF fried chicken, their Spicy Fried Chicken sandwich is probably my favorite thing on their menu. The wine drunk pork belly is also killer good though and so is their chicken teriyaki! I also really like their honey milk tea, it’s nice to have real milk tea and I appreciate that they make it easy to select how sweet you want your milk tea 50% sweetness for me!The staff is always so helpful and the food is really consistent, they have never messed up my order. Once I came in to pickup my food and they hadn’t received my order due to their internet connection going down. They were able to confirm my order and knocked it out super fast for me, so what could’ve been awkward was no big deal! The only drawback is that the restaurant is very micro micro tiny, so it’s more a place to grab food to go, than to eat in.10/10 would recommend whether you have dietary restrictions or not ❤️Parking: It’s usually easy to park right out front but there’s also a lot behind the shop with a couple spots reserved for Hangry Panda!“
“Some of the best Teriyaki we’ve had in the Seattle area! Amazing orange chicken too. Very friendly and welcoming staff. We were happily surprised they came and let us know that the green tea and miso soup was included! Super clean and fast. Highly recommend this for lunch or dinner.“
“Very good Mom and Pop. Very Chinese. Here in Seattle people think that they can bring their pets to restaurants. Definitely not a good idea here. Likely end up on the table.Really authentic with Chinese staff and patrons.I have liked everything on the menu so far.I do recommend sticking with more of the whole meat type dishes. Some of the dumplings are kinda rubbery (lots of binder). That's actually authentic, but I'm not Chinese. They take your order all at one time and just start bringing stuff out in no particular order. I don't think they expect each person to eat an individual meal. I doubt that there is any way to get around that, so if you are really a special needs type of eater this is not for you. Most places in our area are more into that. That's something that I like about this place. It's not really for diners requiring special protection.“
“After many years of driving past this spot we decided to give it a shot. Great location, plenty of free parking, and decent food. We ordered two rolls I've never had before, 1) Golden Dragon and 2) Double Tuna Roll - both were delish. Our only complaint was the selection of music that was playing. Very very odd for an Asian restaurant.“
“I'm very grateful that this restaurant is near me. Me and my husband are struggling financially, so we limit eating out for like once or twice a month. And this is the only place we would go because of such a generous portion and great taste.“
“Located in a slightly sketchy-looking strip mall at the intersection of Mukilteo Speedway and 84th Street SW, Rainbow Wok and Teriyaki is a family-owned eatery specializing in both Japanese-style teriyaki offerings and Chinese dishes. I first stopped here for dinner when I was on a business trip in the area during January 2023, and returned in March 2023. On my first visit I ordered a Japanese/Chinese combination, chicken teriyaki with General Tso’s Chicken. I was impressed enough to come back a couple months later, when I went for chicken chow mein plus a side salad with very tasty dressing. In both cases, the food was well-prepared and flavorful. The dining room and service counter were clean and tidy. The service was friendly and efficient, the prices (while not cheap) were fair for these inflationary times, and the food portions were generous. I enjoyed both my meals at Rainbow Wok and Teriyaki, and would not hesitate to return should my business bring me back to Mukilteo.“
“We had the beef rib, chicken mala, dry beef mala, fried tofu and pork/shrimp chive dumplings. All were so good! The beef ribs was very tender, chicken was crunchy,… can’t pick a favorite because all were so great!Service was quick, you order through a QR code and food came out not long at all! I love the QR code order personally, really convenient when you go in a group.“
“I’ve lived right next door to this restaurant for two years and I’m kicking myself for not trying it sooner.Went for a late lunch on a Saturday and were immediately greeted and seated at a clean and spacious table. We ordered the bossam, gimmari, robboki, and mixed soon du boo. Everything came out within 10 minutes of ordering, and every single dish was phenomenal. The menu is so extensive, I look forward to going back. The service was also great. Everyone was genuinely so nice.“
“The best Teriyaki in Seattle. I've been going for five years, so I've tried most of the menu, and every item has been perfectly cooked. The portions are great. The chicken katsu is juicy and crispy. The Teriyakis are never under or over cooked. The yakasoba is my favorite. The noodles are very filling and tasty.“
“Consistent, high-quality foods with A+ vegetarian and carnivorous options alike. Been going here for about a year and never had a bad experience. The staff are very friendly and helpful!Vegetarian options: A good 1/4th of the menu is vegetarian/vegan or easily subbed to vegetarian/vegan. The wok dishes in particular are a favorite.“
“This place is great! Wonderful atmosphere, exceptional customer service, and reasonably priced food. Stopped here for a quick dinner and it was really nice. Our waiter was super friendly and checked on us once or twice. Our drinks were refilled repeatedly, which is a mark of good customer service in my book. The restaurant was clean and beautifully decorated. Very calm dining experience. I'd highly recommend it. I got the basil chicken dish and my partner ordered green chicken curry. The portions were decently sized and the food was well seasoned and flavorful.“
“I am blown away by the sushi at this restaurant! Every piece is a work of art, beautifully presented and bursting with fresh, vibrant flavors. The fish is incredibly fresh and melts in your mouth, while the rice is perfectly seasoned and holds everything together flawlessly. From classic rolls to creative specials, there's something for everyone to enjoy. The atmosphere is inviting, and the service is top-notch, making each dining experience memorable. If you're a sushi lover like me, you won't be disappointed!“
“This is my go to Thai restaurant! Every dish I've had is delicious. Very authentic, I go here when I'm home sick for southeast Asia ❤️ thank you for the comfort food. The atmosphere is very calm and relaxing! Great place to meet up with friends or go on a date.“
“I've finally found a fantastic teriyaki restaurant that does proper chicken katsu that tastes like real chicken, is not full of fat, little grease and just the right amount of salt. It's the best I've ever had with excellent sauce that complements the chicken so well. The rice is tasty and cooked to the correct consistency. The same can be said of the curry chicken. Perfect amount of salt with high quality veggies, potatoes, and sauce.“
“In shortNeighborhood pho joint with a straightforward menu. They're delivering the goods for a fair price. In longThis is a bustling strip mall on an even-more-bustling 4-lane thoroughfare into Mill Creek. The parking lot is always packed. Especially on weekends, you can often assume that the pool hall/sports bar in the corner suite is drawing most of that traffic. But like most of the smaller businesses here, Pho Hoang has some reserved parking and you can hook it straight up. There's pho available at a couple spots within a few miles, but there are a ton of subdivisions and apartment complexes right around here. I was not at all surprised to see well over a dozen takeaway orders leave the dining room while I ate, and to hear a constant clatter from the kitchen, even though I was the only person eating in.You walk in to an open dining room with minimal decor. Dozen tables, acoustic drop ceiling, simple art. No muss, no fuss. Pay station in the back, tell 'em how many in your party and ya have a seat. No TVs I don't think, no music playing. A couple big potted plants. Seemed like the staff was mom, dad, grandma, grandpa, plus somebody in the kitchen and daughter at the pay station. Everyone is super nice, chatting warmly to each other in Vietnamese throughout my visit. I felt like I was visiting people in their home, in the nicest possible way. For my first time in, I got the usual steak and brisket. A small was filling for sure. You get an old teapot with a teabag steeping in it if you ask. They bring you a chilled plastic bottle of water when you sit. The broth was good stuff here. Rich and marrowy, nice and clear, good balanced spices. Everything in it was as it should be--tender meat, chewy noodles, nice flavor to the meatballs. The meatballs were a nice surprise, actually. The condiments were all in good shape--crunchy sprouts, very juicy fresh lime, super-aromatic basil. They don't bring you jalapenos or cilantro, and I didn't ask for any so I don't know if they stock it. But it was a perfectly satisfying bowl of soup as it was. I was out the door with a good tip for barely $20, happily armored against a cold damp day.“
“Come hungry! I didn't expect much but I was pleasantly surprised. When I came inside I noticed good music playing and was greeted by a well mannered fellow. I chose a katsu/chicken lunch combo that I paid $18 for. It came with a drink so I checked the fountain out. There were the usual suspects and also the stubborn brand agave vanilla cream soda, pineapple cream soda, melon, horchata, and Jamaica. On my way to select a table I noticed free soup! It was a mildly spicy egg flower like soup that I enjoyed quite a bit. I sat down and watched a steady parade of regulars come and go many of whom the gentleman behind the counter seemed to know. He even knew some of their orders. A waitress brought my food which came with rice, salad, chicken, katsu, and the katsu sauce. The rice was sticky, the katsu was crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside, the chicken had a light teriyaki, and the salad was cold with an interesting creamy red dressing. Hot sauce and teriyaki sauce as well as to go containers were readily available. Also, there were gum and toy vending machines.Overall, a 9 of 10. I think I found my new teriyaki stop for the family!??“
“The best teriyaki/Chinese takeout food in all of Snohomish and king county. Very similar to Taster’s Wok in Lynnwood in the quality of the food but way less expensive. I’ll never go to another teriyaki place. The General Tso’s chicken is my favorite, and their teriyaki sauce is a sweet soy glaze which is delicious bc most teriyaki joints have pure salty soy sauce which tastes gross. Totally recommend!!“
“I’ve only tried their pastries so far, and they are absolutely amazing! I got the steamed chicken and pork buns, Crab Rangoon, and a red bean sesame roll. They were all soooo delicious, you could tell it was all authentic. I’ll definitely be returning! The only thing I was disappointed about was that I couldn’t try the curry beef bun because it was sold out. You can bet I’ll be trying it soon though. 10/10 would recommend to friends and family!“
“A hidden gem!THE FOOD was fantastic! They were out of some of the side dishes, so I ended up ordering just a poke bowl. But to me, it's a good sign when food is sold out at the end of the night because it means that they don't prepare too much and hold it over to the next day. I ordered the Rainbow Bowl and it came with tons of different toppings, which I personally love more than some poke places that give you just 4-5 toppings. The fish was fresh, the rice was well seasoned, the veggies/fruit were fresh and perfectly ripe, and the ponzu sauce was well balanced. A regular was a good sized meal, but honestly, just pay the extra couple bucks and get the large because it's so good you'll wish you had more!THE SERVICE was good, the woman behind the counter was friendly and quick. She apologized for being out of some of the side dishes, but was very keen on ensuring my order was prepared with the customizations that I had selected.THE ATMOSPHERE was unassuming. Upon initial entry, the place is very small with barely enough room for 3-4 people to stand and place their order. It also looks simple, perhaps a little old, but clean. But it's this unassuming atmosphere that lets you know that it's a hidden gem.Vegetarian options: If you didn't want the fish, you could get a bowl with seaweed salad and a number of fruit/veggie toppings, some good sauces, and the crunchy toppings.Dietary restrictions: The food is pretty classic as far as the poke bowls are concerned, so if you were trying to avoid dairy/gluten you could easily do so. Though the restaurant doesn't offer a specific menu, they seem like they could answer questions about the food since it's prepared in house.“
“First visit here definitely not our last. This place was really great. Sweet lady took order cook smiled at us was quickly made. Only 15 minutes and we were on our way. Food was perfect and she gave us fresh dog food for our puppies at home they loved. We got to eat in peace for 1 night because they had their own food. Love this place.“
“A decent place to get your pho and banh mi fix. My wife always orders the veggie pho with beef broth, and it's loaded with toppings. I get the flank steak pho but am always disappointed with the meat. I know it's not filet mignon but I usually don't even eat it because it's bland and chewy. Banh mi sandwiches come loaded with pork so that's always appreciated.“
“Great customer service in all aspects! They were so nice and had everything for my team lunch. Serving spoons, tongs, plates, napkins ansqueeze bottle sauces! Food was amazing and a big hit!! Loved everything!! Highly recommend if you want amazing food, easy pick up and smooth event..“
“We reserved a table and went. They have a great selection. As a vegetarian, I was pleased to notice the chef using a separate ladle to cook vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes. Additionally, they kept the rice separately. The coconut curry was good, but the soup was unavailable, so we couldn't taste it. The staff were friendly and didn't rush us, even reminding us about the closing time“
“I know nothing about sushi, I can't stand fish. This place has the best spicy chicken teriyaki I've found. Rich sauce, nothing at all like kikkoman, spicy with red and jalapeño peppers, and moist tender chicken. Comes with rice, soup and small salad. Everything is very good. Great service every time I've been here.“
“I had mostly dismissed this place as a chain restaurant. Which it is, but very well done! It’s in a good location, food is affordable and the service is prompt. I’m not an expert at the cuisine, but loved what we ordered. The kale salad was simple and delicious. The crab meat xiaolongbaos were the bomb.“
“Perfect for Asian noodles cravings! There's a sign pointing at a door but the entrance is around the corner. The people there are super friendly. I love that they have a separate vegan menu, making it easy to order for us vegans. I got the tofu veggie Chow Mein 2 star. The 2 star runs a bit on the spicier side, but it was perfect for me.Vegetarian options: Separate vegan menu“
“I’ve eaten here multiple times, and every time I am more impressed. The staff is attentive, kind, and knowledgeable. The self service beer is fun. But the food is what keeps me coming back. My only complaint is that the food is actually so good that I find myself over eating to the point my eyes are bulging out of my head, and then I still order dessert. If you haven’t eaten here yet, do yourself a favor and try it out!“
