“We have been eating here for 25 years! Our kids were 7 and 10 at the time and loved to sit by the fish tank. It is absolutely our favorite restaurant. We supported it with big orders and generous tips during COVID so they didn’t go out of business. The staff knows us by name; service is great and the food is absolutely delicious!!!“

“I'll tell you what; I wish every teriyaki place was like this one. Went in there, it was nice and clean. Next, was greeted with quick and super friendly service. Then I was offered free self-service water and hot tea which was a nice touch. The meal was fantastic, two amazing ice cream scoops of rice, salad was excellent (not too sweet), and the chicken was perfectly charred but not dried out. “A nice little tucked away asian food place. Anna was the kindest woman ever, offered me a salad and brought my food out to me, serving smiles the whole time. The General Tso’s chicken was the best I have ever eaten, and I am looking forward to the next time I come in! “Amazing chicken rice! I got the combo poached and crispy chicken. Both were good but I like the poached one better as it was more juicy. The rice was very flavorful and I like that it wasn't too salty (this may be why some reviewers think there's not enough chicken fat in the rice). The combo came with dipping sauces, chicken broth, and pickles.

There's condiments on each table of chili oil, ginger scallion, and pickled garlic. Service was prompt and food is delivered piping hot. You will probably have to wait for a table if you come at lunch time though.“

Parking: There's parking but because of a Tae Kwan Do place just a couple of doors down, you may have difficulty parking somewhat close because all the tae kwan do parents sitting in their cars and taking up "restaurant only" parking spots. But there is a lot of parking for the complex they are in, you might just need to walk 100-200 feet.“

“This is one of my go to places when I don't want to get food at work. I believe its a family owned business. My favorite is the regular teriyaki chicken. Food comes out freshly made, hot and the teriyaki sauce is the perfect balance of sweet. Usually do takeout as the lobby isn't the biggest but you can eat in. Very conveniently located by the Microsoft Studios. Way better than the chicken available on campus.“

Perfect for people with Celiac Disease who cannot have cross contamination. It comes out with a sticker on top of the boxlabeling it as gluten free too. This is my go-to place to eat safely!“

The shrimp was interesting because it was more like shrimpcake wrapped around bamboo and fried, but it was tasty. I would def order again. I haven't seen this appetizer elsewhere.

“I'm not too sure about the negative reviews but the girl at the counter was very nice to me. I got a blueberry bubble tea and it was one of the best bubble teas I have ever had. I'm sure the two reviews that are negative must have happened on a day everyone was stressed out that worked in the restaurant and maybe they did get a little snippy but there's no denying that they have very good food and the girl was very sweet to me at the counter. Some of You people act like you've never had a bad day. “I used to come here only for the sushi, but in the recent months they either renovated and changed names or it’s a brand new business that set up here. Either way, the new place is pretty expensive, for pretty much the same quality sushi. A regular Philadelphia roll is $12.50 before tax. Not even at fancy sushi restaurants they cost above $10… it’s not a big difference, but every roll is just quite a bit more expensive than *most* sushi restaurants I’ve been to.“

“It was a very nice restaurant, the food was good, the waitresses were super patience and explained the menu when we asked questions. They also allowed us to stay and talk even though we finished eating and paid. It has lots of seating from booths to chairs for bigger families. They have a 5 level spice for their dishes and was quite fresh and spicy when we chose level 4. The calamari was unfortunately soft breaded and comes off easily, but quite tasty with the sauce.“

“Visited Bamboo Restaurant on a quiet Tuesday afternoon ,not crowded, which gave the place a calm, almost unhurried atmosphere. Service was quick, and the food arrived without delay.

I ordered the #14 pho large. The broth leaned toward ginger and lime, with a light oil finish and a subtle hint of cinnamon, a nod to the traditional spice base. However, it lacked the depth and cohesion you’d expect from a properly slow-simmered pho.

Typically, spices like star anise, cloves, and cinnamon should come together in a balanced, layered way , here, they felt slightly disconnected.
The noodles were thin and cooked well, though fairly neutral in flavor. The meats were a strong point , well-seasoned and prepared correctly, adding needed substance to the bowl.

I also tried the chili oil (saté), and this is where things dropped a bit. It had a heavier, more generic profile — lacking the aromatic depth and freshness you’d expect from a well-crafted blend.

It felt closer to a pre-made, store-bought oil rather than something developed in-house, which took away from the overall experience.

The atmosphere was extremely quiet no music, minimal interaction which made the space feel slightly awkward rather than inviting. Small details were also missing, like basic table spices or salt.

That said, there’s a certain honesty to this place. It has a simple, home-style feel: casual, calm, and straightforward.
