I got the curry vermicelli bowl with tofu and it was very spicy but the kitchen was nice enough to add a bit more coconut milk to make it more mild. The hokkien wok noodles were also spicy but a lot more tolerable for me (I typically can't handle spice very well). The vietnamese coffee creme brulee was yummy and I would love to get it again! “We live in Spokane and travel to Columbia City to visit our son and the Ale House is our “go to” every time! My favorite is the BLT but everything is great. In my opinion you’ve got to try it. We’ve been there so much we’ve gotten to know everyone there and Kelly makes amazingly delicious soups and what a nice guy!! The owner is so friendly and has a knack for hiring the best staff as they all make you feel so welcomed and take great care of you. I have been on a forever hunt for finding more dole whip in the Seattle area at a place other than Menchies, it's always the most perfect, delicious, and refreshing treat. And this is coming from a dole whip connoisseur I have had dole whip everywhere even at Disney but nothing tops this. It tasted like a sour fluffy soft cloud that melted in my mouth and could never recommend the dole whip here enough. Aside from the dole whip the place was absolutely awesome as well, we were able to sit at the bar and sample flavors of ginger beer in order to make our decision. The bar tender was super cool and kind also super helpful in our decision on flavors This place is like a bar for kids knowing Ginger Beer has no actual alcohol and being able to sit at the bar for a cool experience even as a minor. I feel this place is a perfect place to come for a treat especially with kids knowing they can get ginger beer or soft serve and you can treat yourself to a nice cocktail! Also wanted to mention their attached to a really good looking chicken place that caught my attention. My halibut was cooked just right, moist and flaky, and my husband was thrilled with the seafood stew, especially enjoying the Black Cod in it! “We had a belated Birthday dinner for 4. We normally sit at the bar and enjoy the artisan bartenders and usually have appetizers / small plates; never had dinner. With the energetic and effervescent personality of Guest Experience Table Commander, Mary Jane, commenced with our appetizer (bread w/ black garlic butter, albondigas "winner", cheese plate), small plate (tempura asparagus "winner/ winner") and beverage orders...delivered timely and coordinated with other staff. Mary Jane, gave us lots of time to enjoy our starters and our lively convos, checking back frequently (w/o hovering) and maintaining the table. She was knowledgeable of the different offerings and provided great suggestions. We ordered the burrata salad, porcini and lamb ragu pastas....all delivered simultaneously by multiple staff. “I went to Mox Boarding House for the first time and it is amazing! They have a free parking lot, but it gets busy so you may have to park further away. I was with a small group (5 people) on a Thursday evening. I was kind of bummed out because there was a long wait to sit in the restaurant. However, there were plenty of open tables in the main store area. I asked a worker and they said we could order at the bar and they would bring the food to our table. I just ordered the first thing I saw on the menu, which is the Mox Classic (a cheeseburger and fries). It was really good and I would definitely order it again! You can borrow a game to play at the front desk. They suggested a card game called Chameleon. It was perfect for the number of people we had and the casual vibe we were going for.“

“One of the hidden gems of Columbia City. Their burgers are amazing -- well seasoned and perfectly cooked. I normally get the Reuben, which they also do very well. The wings are also very tasty. The wait-staff is universally friendly and the food comes out at a good pace. My son is right on the cusp of kids menus vs. adult menus and he loves their adult menu. We come so often the staff knows to bring him an adult menu! They have numerous TVs so if there is any game of note you wish to watch, it is almost always on. My only complaint is that they got rid of the waffle fries -- they will be missed.“

A po-boy is on french bread - not a sesame seed bun. That makes it a fish sandwich. The blackended catfish was good and came out hot. Go for the music and beers, eat beforehand elsewhere.“

“Me and my family visited here after Snowflake Lane last night on Christmas Eve and they were able to accommodate 8 of us. The ambiance was pleasant, the drinks were amazing, and the food was excellent! My husband and I are vegan and they had several choices. I would highly recommend it here. “I came here for the first time last year and since then I’ve come here at least once a month. Their food is delicious!! They bring out chips and salsa but what makes them different than every other restaurant is they have, what I call “cabbage salsa”. It’s not actually a cabbage based salsa but it’s a pico de gallo of sorts with the tinies amount of cabbage in it. It is DELICIOUS. The red salsa is also very tasty and the green salsa has that kick when you need a little spice. The staff are always extremely friendly and kind. I have never, not once gone to Agave and left disappointed or underwhelmed. This is the best food in the plaza, and I stand by that statement 100%. Their macho burrito is huge and so good, or their enchiladas when I don’t wanna have leftovers. If you love yourself, do yourself a favor and go into Agave.
