“Authentic, fresh, and entirely delicious. The homemade cannelloni pasta noodles and filling were absolute perfection! Fantastic marinara! And the pizza… amazing. So much for leftovers! And I haven’t even mentioned the kindness of all of the staff. Can’t wait to come back to this gem!“

“The best Italian food in Seattle. The focaccia is probably the best bread I’ve ever had. The heirloom tomato and nectarine marinara is a revelation. I can’t wait to go back.“

“For over 20 years we have enjoyed every meal on the menu. They are the only restaurant that I know that make their own pastas, sauces, bread, and desserts. What a difference that makes. Everything is fresh tasting and satisfying. The meatballs are so light and tasty, eat them slowly to enjoy every bite. Not only are their pastas and pizzas delicious so are their appetizers. I love how they roast their eggplant and they serve it in an incredibly rich tomato sauce with Gorgonzola on the side. Their steak is cooked to perfection with an amazing sauce, a grilled pepper, onion, and their incredible handcut shoestring fries that are to die for!! Enjoy“

“The Queen Anne How to Cook a Wolf is consistent in being excellent. The food is always prepared to perfection. The ingredients are well sourced. The atmosphere is lovely. The staff is incredibly friendly without being intrusive. It's my favorite neighborhood restaurant and one of my top 3 in Seattle.“

“WONDERFUL housemade pasta, whole Branzino. Delicious Barbera. Great desserts, great service, amazing olive oil, which sounds funny, but it was really, really good. I would highly recommend La Medusa.“
“Cool vibe, and the live-fire was great. Service nice and ultrafast. Coffee, like usual at Starbucks, good but not excellent. Only thing I disliked were the unisex bathrooms, I get the idea, but I just couldn't feel very confident on it. My opinion only.“

“This restaurant is located right at the main entrance to the Summit building of the Seattle Convention Center. It has a large patio that opens onto the entry courtyard. I had talked to several people who ate there prior to my visit, and they all said the food was excellent but was very expensive. Quite true. I feel like this isn’t just an expense due to convenience, but because the food and service is very good. If you look at the fine print on the menu picture I uploaded, you’ll see a statement about how they pay staff and that a 20% gratuity is included in all bills.
I went with a friend. We sat at a cute two person table on the patio. The staff did a great job of accommodating for my friend’s allergy. We shared an asparagus dip and house-made potato chip appetizer; it was incredibly delicious, but about half our chips were crumbs that were impossible to dip, but when we asked for more chips, the server had more brought out without quibbling.
I had the Caesar salad, which was huge and very fresh. I had a local cider from Yonder along with it. My friend had the chicken parmigiana, which was huge. She gave me a piece of her chicken, and it was very good.“

“the vibe inside is really homey. the price point is great. I was able to comfortably order a few things to try. I also think the portions were good. the duck ragu was very good. I enjoyed that plate very much. the sauce pairs with the duck very well. it's fork licking good. the carbonara I didn't care for, I didn't finish it. it didn't taste quite balanced. also my pasta was under cooked. I checked to see if maybe I was given buccatini on accident but no, it was just underdone spaghetti. overall, I'll try it again. my experience I think was good for a first visit“

“Best pizza I’ve had in the US. We actually ate so much it was ridiculous ;) The mushroom and fontina is insanely good. Well, so are the others. And yes, I was invited there and got to learn about pizza, the dough is a wonder. Gave me a whole new guiding light for what it should be like!“

“It’s nice to have a joint nearby with some Italian bite options since Italian is not as common here compared to elsewhere. Had the rigatoni with some wine and the other half had a type of spaghetti-puttanesca. I wish the wine was cheaper but it’s a quaint place with a nice atmosphere for a date near the Hill on 12th.“

“Very nice menu that is tasty and priced well. My husband and I shared a fig pizza $28 and chop salad $18. Excellent! The salad was very fresh and the dressing was good and homemade. The pizza has did, goat cheese, and prosciutto on a cheese base. The crust was perfectly cooked. Simple menu. Highly recommended.“

“Charmingly tucked away in Pike Place Market's atrium, you might side-eye the lofty pasta prices for counter-style service, just like I did, until... BAM! You just ate the freshest pasta with height of the season specialized ingredients. You know, like they do in Italy, and it's worth every penny. Have you ever had a walnut pesto with sauteed fiddlehead ferns, leeks, and aleppo pepper flakes? I can't say enough good things about how amazing it was and you get to watch the very cool, friendly crew make everything in the open kitchen. I did pass on the $14 wine pour because that's not right for lunch. That would get me a whole carafe in Italy.“

“With restaurant prices in Seattle so high, my husband and I are very particular about when, where and why we go out, so we tend to have very high expectations when we do go out. Last night was my husband’s birthday and we chose to give Lioness a try. We had a fabulous time! The service was perfect, our servers were so nice and perfectly attentive without hovering. I ordered the Lioness martini, and at $25, I was expecting something out of this world. It delivered! We ordered the burrata, Billy’s tomatoes, gem lettuces and the cavatelli pasta. Each dish was fantastic! There have been reviews complaining that you only get one slice of bread with the burrata, but the slice was big, thick and perfectly toasted, it was plenty for sharing the dish! The tomatoes had a nice spice, chili oil? Beautifully balanced. The gem lettuce salad was delicious, again a good balance between the nuttiness of roasted hazelnut in the vinaigrette and the salty creaminess of the grated cheese on top, The cavatelli was my least favorite, the pasta was a bit heavy for the sauce, I felt that a spaghetti or angel hair, being more delicate, would have been better with the fantastic sauce, but it was still delicious! We finished the meal with the chocolate cake, a beautiful sweet but not too sweet ending to a great meal. When you are spending over $200 for two, you want it to be worth it and our experience at Lioness was. Thank you Renee and you wonderful staff!“

“Excellent food and service. A large dining room with a second level. It appears to be an old space that gives off a rustic vibe. I am a vegetarian and found many things to eat. There's a vegetable stew that is amazing. The house sangiovese was delicious. The staff are very kind and attentive. Will definitely return.“

“I got the Paccheri pasta, which was absolutely delightful. I was happy that this dish was made without egg, as many Italian forward dining experiences have trouble accommodating me. The points lost for me include the odd Diet Coke flavor (I assumed it was the can version but this tasted like it was made at the bar) as well as how cold it was in the restaurant itself. I wish I could have felt less tense while enjoying a well crafted dining experience with attentive staff. Looking forward to coming back with a sweater and ready to try a different drink.
P.S, I enjoyed the water without ice!“

“seriously the best gluten free pizza in town!! I always get the green dahlia— I’ve never gotten sick from any gluten contamination, they always go above and beyond to insure there is the least amount of gluten contamination possible. We meet Mike today, who makes the dough early before they open, since there is NO wheat flour floating in the air. I always appreciate the extra effort and kindness from this epic pizza restaurant!“

“Super fun place with hospitable fun staff! The staff are absolute troopers and super ninjas with entertaining personalities. And the food was 10/10 stars, absolutely delectable and I wanted to basically lick off my plate haha. You’ll need to be patient because they’re understaffed (not their fault, it’s the same as many other places!!!). 100% worth the wait. Great atmosphere and well decorated. located by a beautiful park with pretty old growth trees.“

“Delicious Pizza!! They grabbed me with the deep dish style pizza. i started following their Instagram so i could see what was going on. over the last few years i would order a pizza from them when in the area… a few special trips just because. Now just recently I started seeing Tavern Style pizza show up on the instagram. Started with photos from other places and then Windy City pie puts tavern on their menu! i wanted to try it since it became available and finally decided to make it part of my pre game for a saturday Mariners game. if thin crisp crust is not your thing then stick with the deep dish! it continues to amaze! If you like the thin crisp pizza try the tavern. it is not just any pizza it is special. the crust is thin uniform and crisp through out the pizza. the toppings are high quality and the sauce is something out of this world! I ate about half and took the rest home to share with my wife. thought i would be able to share our reheat but it didn’t get past the cold pizza phase… this has to be the very best cold pizza i can remember! So good we didn’t take the time to heat back up we just downed it! Check them out! really great pizza on 2 ends of the pizza spectrum!“

“The manager here is completely rude to his customers and his staff. Refuses to refund or replace and item made incorrectly. Just terrible customer service. Think twice before giving your money to such a terrible person. Read many other reviews that talk about how the staff here is treated. The food is mediocre at best, but even of it was better, service matters. I'd encourage the owners to think about how they treat people and how they would like to be treated as a customer when the business was at fault. Disgusting. There were mushrooms sent to a kid with an allergy when it was clearly noted on the order to leave them off, there was a hair in the pizza. I would encourage the owner to take a class in customer service and learn to do what is right instead of being rude and snarky.“

“The food and service were excellent. My kids were a little freaked out by the homeless man banging on the glass and yelling at us outside of the restaurant; I was hoping staff would have asked him to leave, but he stuck around for quite awhile. Other than that it was great.“

“We hired Veraci to cater our wedding at WithinSodo, and could not have been happier with the experience. This is coming from a pizza hobbyist/snob, who has his own pizza oven and experiments with all style pizzas :)
Veraci provided pizza and salad for approximately 140 people (roughly 120 guests and 20 vendors). They were flexible in accommodating all the dietary needs of our vegan/GF guests and easy to communicate with. The pizza itself was really great, and guests really loved both it and the salads. The pizza also came out even better than when we had tasted it at the Ballard location. The pleasant wood-fired smell also helped anchor memories of our wedding. The Veraci staff was incredibly kind and timely.
As a nice unplanned touch, they put the leftover pizzas into boxes, which we put out for guests at the after-party. Had we known, we would have maybe ordered some extra pizzas to be made for that purpose, and we would have not planned for any additional late-night food, which would have further simplified our catering logistics.“

“We had an above and beyond experience at Il Nido. They have a parking lot which makes the transition there so much easier. We went a little hard, and got the focaccia, 2 pastas, the ribeye, polenta and olive oil cake. Every single dish was divine! Our waitress recommended the truffle butter with bread, and bone marrow butter on the ribeye. She also recommended having the polenta come out with the ribeye. She was so right! The interior of the restaurant is darling the service was incredible! This is our new favorite spot!“
