“What a wonderful experience! Impeccable service during the 7:45pm reservation on 2/21–table 35 (our receipt says we were sat with Linda, but for some reason I think her name was Robin). The focaccia was an excellent start, the 12oz cap ribeye was amazing, but the star was the limon butter pasta. Wow, didn’t think any other spot in seattle could compete with Spinasse on pasta. Il nido exceeded on the overall experience and atmosphere. Dinner was complemented with an excellent and reasonably priced amarone which is a rarity. Overall excellent experience and can’t wait to return!“

“If you can snag a reservation here, do it — but honestly, even if you can’t, they hold a few tables each night for walk-ins, and it’s so worth the wait. The Pink Door is one of those rare places that’s somehow both trendy and timeless. Every corner feels thoughtfully curated — chic, eclectic, and a little bit artsy — and when the live music starts, it’s pure magic. We were lucky enough to be seated in the back dining room overlooking the Ferris wheel and the Salish Sea, and the view alone could’ve made the night. But then came the food — and wow. From the appetizers to the pappardelle pasta and rabbit (plus alllll the bread), everything was beyond delicious. Huge shoutout to our server, Jeannie, who was amazing — warm, attentive, and clearly loves what she does. We left already planning our next visit. This place is beautiful, delicious, and full of charm. We’ll definitely be back!“

I enjoyed that plate very much. the sauce pairs with the duck very well. it's fork licking good. the carbonara I didn't care for, I didn't finish it. it didn't taste quite balanced. also my pasta was under cooked. I checked to see if maybe I was given buccatini on accident but no, it was just underdone spaghetti. overall, I'll try it again. my experience I think was good for a first visit“

“Our meal at Cinque Terre was amazing. That was seriously some of the best pesto I've ever had. My husband's boar pasta had plenty of meat in the sauce. The pasta was fresh. And they even had some good mocktails - as a non-drinker, I appreciate when a restaurant takes the time to create drinks that make me feel welcomed. The atmosphere was peaceful - not too loud in any way. I would absolutely recommend this place“

“We are becoming regulars at Assaggio. Our latest dinner was a couple of days before Valentine's Day. I cannot praise the staff enough. Warm, welcoming...truly like family. My Blood Orange Cosmopolitan was served in a vintage cut glass coupe. Extraordinary. We loved the Arancini for starters. So fresh, tender with a light crisp. My husband enjoyed the Penne Vodka and I had the Vincigrasse, a beautiful white lasagna with Italian sausage and Bechamel sauce. The pasta sheets were so fresh and delicate. Absolute perfection. My husband and I shared the Zepolle for dessert. We can't seem to order anything different because it's exquisite. We simply adore Assaggio.“

“For over 20 years we have enjoyed every meal on the menu. They are the only restaurant that I know that make their own pastas, sauces, bread, and desserts. What a difference that makes. Everything is fresh tasting and satisfying. The meatballs are so light and tasty, eat them slowly to enjoy every bite. Not only are their pastas and pizzas delicious so are their appetizers. I love how they roast their eggplant and they serve it in an incredibly rich tomato sauce with Gorgonzola on the side. Their steak is cooked to perfection with an amazing sauce, a grilled pepper, onion, and their incredible handcut shoestring fries that are to die for!! Enjoy“

For our main course, we savored the tortellini cefalu, fettuccine ai funghi, and fettuccine al pesto, all cooked with high-quality ingredient were extremely delicious. The portions were generous, leaving us satisfied but not overly full. To finish, we indulged in the house-made tiramisu and limoncello panna cotta. You just ate the freshest pasta with height of the season specialized ingredients. You know, like they do in Italy, and it's worth every penny. Have you ever had a walnut pesto with sauteed fiddlehead ferns, leeks, and aleppo pepper flakes? I can't say enough good things about how amazing it was and you get to watch the very cool, friendly crew make everything in the open kitchen. I did pass on the $14 wine pour because that's not right for lunch. That would get me a whole carafe in Italy.“

“My favorite place to eat in Ballard - the food, the staff and the atmosphere are all a delight, every time! They even cater to special dietary requirements and do a vegan pizza with actual vegan cheese (rather than just the bland stuff you’d normally get in most places), and their wholewheat crust is to die for! “The hype is fully justified on this one! I ordered the five cheese plate. I only knew I wanted the aged gouda and let my server pick the other four. All five were outstanding, as was the spiced fig jam. The focaccia bread was incredible, but so filling I couldn’t finish my cheeses, so I boxed them up for my hotel fridge.

To the staff’s credit, I was one of the only customers right when they opened, and they were working overtime filling my water! I had been walking around town for hours and was worried about getting kidney stones from the cheese overload. I cannot say enough kind words about both the staff and the food! I came to Seattle to knock things off my bucket list, but they really made me want to go back, so I probably will. I really loved the view from the dining room. Seattle at its finest.“

“On New Year’s Eve 2025, I picked up my best friend at the airport and we went straight to The Lioness to begin the celebration before heading to the Space Needle. It was exactly the kind of place you want on a winter night — warm and intimate, and a cozy, quaint atmosphere for sharing. The cavatelli was exquisite, earthy, and so delicious. The marinated olives and burrata were fresh and beautifully made, the braised greens a perfect complement, and the dark chocolate cake with espresso mascarpone cream was a lovely, delectable finish. We felt genuinely taken care of and appreciated. Thank you to Maddy Van Elzen at Sea Creatures and her team for the thoughtful and generous hospitality and personal touches. We highly recommend The Lioness for the best food, service, and atmosphere. 5 stars!“

“Wonderful experience dining here for my birthday. We started with a couple non-alcoholic drinks and a burrito appetizer, both of which were lovely. For the main course, I had Nonna's pappardelle, with handmade pasta, a rich ragu, and a touch of lemon to brighten it all up. It was fantastic, really highlighting each aspect of the dish. And for dessert, I had Nonna's Cake (apparently Nonna knows what she's doing). It was also really lovely, with a ton of flavoral and textural contrast, and not too sweet but very satisfying. Note that the dessert was not complimentary, but the staff did add some candles!

They offer handmade gluten-free pasta for most of their dishes as well, and it's very tasty! Main allergens are listed on the menu.

The service was friendly but was a bit slow for a quiet Monday night.
