“I'm at the hotel across the street. I was originally going to walk over to the mall area and the Olive Garden, but I saw the sign for teriyaki and thought it would be good to support a small business.

I walked in through the mini mart. The man behind the counter asked if I was looking for teriyaki after I looked a little lost. He pointed me to the other side of the shop and met me over there.

I wish I'd thought to ask his name. He was very nice and personable. I told him I'd be in town for a couple days and was looking for a good spot. I asked what's good on the menu. He pointed out a few things, but I settled on the spicy orange chicken.

When I checked out, I thought it might be a tad pricey, but I also recognize the importance of helping a small business. While I waited for my order, I went back to the mini mart side and got a ginger ale and some gum. The same gentleman rang me up there.

Then, back next door, I looked at my phone for a minute or two, and he came back to thank me for my patience. While thoughtful, I was not put out at all, I had only placed the order a few minutes before, and it really didn't seem like much of a wait.

My food came out in short order, he bagged it up and put all the things I'd need (utensils, napkins, soy sauce) inside before I asked. He left me with a smile, and I walked across the street to my hotel to eat.

Bringing it up to my room, I saw that it was a lot of food. Honestly, I SHOULD have only eaten half and saved the rest for the next day. But I didn't.

The orange chicken was perfect. Just delicious. The rice was just right. Honestly, I can't think of a thing that would make it better.

“Crispy tender juicy full of flavor spicy chicken teriyaki. Rice cooked well, I highly recommend getting the Rice Punch drink and sip on it as you enjoy your Rice. They compliment each other. Good, kind and caring people work here. I highly recommend this place.“

“First time to this area, drove by and decided to stop. Not bad! The sauce was “brothy” and tasted light and flavorful. I got spice level 4 but it wasn’t spicy at all. They did bring extra spices to the table. I was here for lunch and thought rice came with it. It did not, it was additional. No biggie, just wanted to mention as I’ve been to Thai places for lunch where you get the rice included. Service was great.“

“I’ve been here a few times and the food has always been great. This time, however, the service was slow. I asked the waitress for an extra plate so I could share the papaya salad with my mom and her friend, but it took a long time for the plates to arrive. We eventually decided not to wait and ate the papaya salad with the rest of our food, which ended up being messy because of the fish sauce.

Aside from that, the food was still very good. For those who don’t like raw vegetables, I wouldn’t recommend the papaya salad, as it can be hard on the stomach—especially if you’ve recently had gallbladder surgery. I mention this because I didn’t realize my mom’s friend couldn’t eat raw food, so sticking to soup is a better option. Their soup is very good, and we really enjoyed it.“

“Walked by the night before and didn't have time to pop in after work, but took note of the cool looking new spot in GTown. Checked out the menu and my mind (and belly) wouldn't allow me to go another day without experiencing the enoki fritters, so a late lunch ensued with fritters and street corn today. Ridiculously tasty, will be back with friends and family to try the rest of the menu and I'm sure you'll be serving my coworkers (repeatedly) as well. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐“

“Underrated Teriyaki and Korean food restaurant with easy take out. Best teriyaki on Rainier and perhaps in town. The only fault that it is closed on Sundays. Quite delicious food options. This is the place you want to go for a delicious meal.“

“If you don’t eat at Sap Sap, I don’t know what you’re doing with your life. I would live in their kitchen if it was legal. This place has the stamp of approval from my Thai mother from the Isan region. When she visits, we have to bring her straight here.

Now, what do I recommend on the menu? Well, I recommend everything. I’ve eaten it all. One time, we came three times in one week. My favorite dish changes once a month. Right now, it’s the Lao sausage and sticky rice. Come get you some.

“Our first visit was yesterday for lunch and we had Chicken Xiao Long Bao, Chicken pan-fried potstickers, Chicken and Vegetable Won-tons in sweet and sour sauce and Spicy (Ma la) noodles.....all were very good! The service was excellent and we enjoyed the whole experience!!“

“Came by on a quick lunch break and enjoyed my experience. I had the Hue style beef soup. Everything was very tasty and kept me warm in the Seattle rain. I liked the variety of meat and the spicy soup base gave me a lovely numbing mouth feel. I will say I think they accidentally gave me lettuce instead of cilantro, or I could’ve been mistaken. “I get a bahn mi from Nissi any time I’m near Othello station (which is a lot haha)! They make an unreal delicious tofu bahn mi, and it includes delicious mushrooms. They are accommodating to making vegetarian versions of foods (I saw a delicious fried egg/rice paper stuffed with bean sprouts and meat, and they made me a vegetable one just because they saw I wanted to try it), and the shop owner and staff are so kind. I will be coming to this shop frequently, thank you Nissi!“

“Best locally owned and family owned Teriyaki in West Seattle by far. Super friendly staff, decent pricing, and fast service. Almost anyone who I've talked to that lives nearby has been here and mentioned how good the food is. The spot is small so I recommend to call ahead for takeout or takeout generally when you arrive.

“You can pay with cash at the counter, but don’t be surprised when you walk in and see a lot of people standing around. They’ve already placed their order on a kiosk and they’re waiting for their number to be called. There isn’t a lot of flexibility in the menu and I think that’s what makes the flow of service very easy for this company is a very good model of business. There is some dine in seating. Most people just walk out with the container in hand no bag ready to eat everything is pretty much teriyaki based chicken they charge you extra for spicy so I would recommend getting regular and then just adding your own sauce for spice so I don’t have any pictures. I already ate.“

“The pho was delicious, portion was more than enough for a large. There is also a bar and some games like DARTS. Only thing is the inside probably could use a update though, carpet needs to be shampooed or replace, restroom was dark. Overall, I would definitely recommend this spot if you want good pho. “My friend orders from here all the time and we decided we get some take out. I got a big bento box with beef teriyaki and chicken breast teriyaki. This is the best teriyaki I have ever had!! Now, any other place just pales in comparison. Both the beef and the chicken teriyaki were perfect, tender with just the right amount of sauce. The sauce is a perfect balance of sweet and tart, and the meat is covered in sauce, but not drowning in sauce. There was enough food for 4 meals on that platter and it was as enjoyable reheated as it was fresh. I will be eating here again and again!“

“We are regulars at Tokyo. This restaurant has been in Factoria for many years and it is always great. The service is great. The sushi is fresh and delicious. “My second time here in recent past, and both times I was happy with my food but a little sad to see when I walked it it was otherwise empty. I see a lot of negative reviews in the past for here, and I don't get it. Other than I think people's expectations for instant gratification may be a big influence. Came here with my parents as walk-ins on a Wednesday. Place was empty. Another group of 6 came in with a reservation after us. They definitely do a decent amount of takeout business, but I hope people support this place! It's a no-nonsense mom & pop little restaurant with good Thai food. I had the Chiang Mai Noodles which is in a yellow curry like a soup. Beautiful presentation (see picture), I ordered 4 star spiciness and received the perfect bit of burn and runny nose, extremely flavorful, noodles were perfect, crispy noodles on top for some crunch. It was a generous serving but I just devoured it until the bowl was empty. My mom had pad Thai, my dad the red curry, both were happy. Also got the crab crispy dumpling appetizer and fresh rolls to start and they were fresh and great! This is great Thai food serving a local community. If you want Michelin star service, go pay $500 per person somewhere downtown Seattle or whatever. My food was tasty. My water was refilled. Food came out at a normal speed because they weren't busy, and the group of 6 that ordered after us also got their food soon after and they all seemed pleased. They asked to make sure there were no peanuts in one person's dish due to allergy and that they used Canola oil and not peanut oil, both of which the server confirmed. Support small businesses and restaurants, it's tough out there for these little places!“
