“We are staying across the street at Best Western. We are in town for Alabama Football.
We walked across the street to try it.
The shrimp was terrific, Calamari was terrific. Huge portions, I could not eat it all.

I’d recommend this place and will be back for next time I’m in town for Roll Tide Football.“

“My husband and I love Golden City! We started going 3 years ago, and it has consistently been our favorite place in the area. We love their sushi rolls, sweet and sour chicken, and hibachi. My favorite is the egg drop soup. Not only is the food fantastic, but we always love the incredible service that Golden City provides.“

Our server Breeton was so kind, funny, and took very good care of us. . & The live music was an added bonus ! I really enjoyed the fried pork chops, Mac & cheese, and baked beans. My family raved about the bussin burgers - one of the best they’ve had. Oh and the lemon pepper okra was 🔥 🔥 I’ll be back soon and will recommend to all of my friends ! “Masa is our absolute FAVORITE place to eat! Our kids LOVE it and the owners treat us like family with warm smiles and big hugs when we come! The food is always excellent with a HUGE sushi menu, we still haven’t tried it all yet but we have loved everything we have tried! Our 6 year olds ask for it all the time! Masa is like our home away from home when we need an excellent meal and don’t feel like cooking!“

“This is my absolute favorite restaurant, come here all the time they have the best customer service. There’s never a long wait food is super fresh and super good. If you like sushi or hibachi, I highly recommend. And it’s affordable unlike a lot of other restaurants in Birmingham“

“Last night my husband and I ate dinner at Firebirds. Our steaks were INCREDIBLE. They could compete with Fleming’s or Perry’s. Our service was excellent. I wish I remembered our servers name, she was quick and very kind (she had on a David Yurman cross pendant, young and light brown hair). I do recommend making a reservation if you’re going on a Friday/Saturday night. As we were leaving, we heard the hostess say it would be a 3 hour wait for the party that just arrived. Will be back!“

“Leaving gym to go eat our prepped dinner when a delightful aroma caught us by surprise. Went to window shop, and could not resist trying something. Staff was friendly and Sam was awesome, throwing in extra sauces and fries I forgot to add.

Then we got the food: it legitimately looks like something out of a dolled up commercial, with a delightful taste to boot. We will 100% be eating here again and recommending friends, thank you Sam and chefs for giving us a great meal and experience!“

“It is the best organic Mexican food that I have had. Everything is fresh and delicious. If you like Mexican food like I do, you really need to try it. I am just a customer and want it to stay here in Hoover. Even the guac is fresh, and bright green, unlike other places. Great pleasant staff and quick service. Yummy“

“Had only visited this location once a couple of years ago when it first opened & was not impressed with food quality....decided to drop in to see how things are now & was pleasantly surprised. We arrived for a late lunch & noted very few patrons in dining room. Our server, Ian, was friendly & attentive. We enjoyed the fried catfish ( farmed in Mississippi!) and the New Orleans style crab claws in a savory broth. Side salad was fresh & appetizing. The fried okra was some if not the best I've had locally. We also opted for take home desserts....lemon blueberry cheesecake & the bread pudding....both were very good. Looking forward to dining here again! Service was excellent as well.“
