“My business partner and I chose The Hound for dinner during one of our visits to Auburn recently. We ordered several things to try, including various cocktails, appetizers, a couple of entrees and desserts, and the flavors were perfectly balanced and well presented in every bite and sip. Hunter was our bartender when we arrived at the bar, and he continued to serve us after we were seated for dinner. He was a fabulous mixologist with a great sense of humor who made recommendations that were spot on, answered numerous questions about the offerings and made us feel like one of the locals. But - I noticed that the other bartenders and servers were extending that same hospitality to their guests, so there must be something special about The Hound's culture to make everyone so warm and friendly. We'll be back.”

“We went during a fireball game. Tried to order an appetizer when we arrived and were told we had to order all items at same time. We went along with the weird request with an empty restaurant and the food took a very long time to arrives. We like this restaurant but it was a huge miss. The manager was present and never stopped by to check on us. Unfortunately they missed the mark!”

“Shout out to Nicole. Went there for a football game and 16 year anniversary. First time to the area. Our waitress (Nicole) was fantastic. She took the time despite them being busy to give us some good area tips and make sure we were comfortable. Very friendly and took good care of us. Food was great and prices very fair. Live music was an added bonus. Definitely recommend Nicole as well if ya get her.”

“I think my visit here was absolutely amazing! The customer service was great! I had asked the waitress if they had Kimbap which they do! I am really greatful for as well. I had ordered two kimbaps for to go. The waitress was very nice and kind!

I think the atmosphere was great over there. I had sat over by the bar and minded my own business. The staff there was very nice as well. Seemed like a very cool and calming place to go to during the weekdays but I think during the weekends could be very enjoyable and fun.

The service time for waiting for my food was very quick! The waitress told me it would take about 15-20 minutes for the kimbaps to be made but I wouldn’t even say it had taken that long to be honest which I was not in a rush, I had all day. The Kimbaps itself were phenomenal and cheap as well as super filling. I would’ve probably gotten away with just ordering one order of it but I really enjoy eating kimbaps. I also was given a side of Kimchi. The kimchi was absolutely amazing, I don’t know if it’s home made but it definitely not store bought kimchi.

I have to give this place a solid 9 out of 10! I definitely need to come back during my days off and actually dine in at this place! If you are concerned about what they serve, I had posted a current menu on this post as well.

“We were down in Auburn for a basketball game, and looking for a way to kill some time the next day before the drive back home. Found this spot on Google, and now I’m wishing they had one back home in Huntsville. First off, those filet mignon sliders were incredible, perfectly cooked, and could fall apart in your mouth. My fiance got the BLT, and it came out so big that I thought it worked there. It was huge. Like, pays taxes kinda big. The staff was extremely friendly, understanding, helpful, you name it, they nailed it. Wish I could remember the servers name, but I’m terrible at names. But young guy working the lunch shift on 12/18. That dude was great. The best part to us was the lawn golf. Golf has always been mine and my fiances date of choice, so it was already a win in our books. But the lawn golf experience is perfect for both experienced golfers looking to play a different kind of challenge, as well as people who have probably never held a golf club in their life and don’t want to shatter a house window at a yuppie neighborhood course. If we lived closer, we would be back once a week. But until y’all catch on to how great this spot is and they expand up to Huntsville/Madison, we will have to settle with visiting this spot every time we come down for an Auburn game. My Reuben was outstanding, with ultra fresh bread, and the order taker even asked me if I would rather have it with spicy mustard instead of the Thousand Island dressing. Lots of good things to try here, and you won’t get a bad meal. The food here is not fancy, but affordable and very good. Fast food speed, and sit down restaurant quality without the boring attitude of a fast food chain. Typical vibrant college energy, and the place is as clean as it needs to be, cluttered, and heavily trafficked. Skip Subway and try this place instead!”

“I would not dare come here again. I just had the worst 1st experience. I ordered, recieved the meal in a decent amount of time BUT noticed that my BILL included a .45 cent charge that states TAKE OUT and this was one meal over $20. I called back because I didnt notice the charge until I came home. When I called I was told that the Mgr would be with me in 5 mins. 5 mins turned to 17 mins and someone hung up. My time is money and I'm invested at that point. I call back and was told because I ordered steak and the fact they include plastic ware (which I never recieved) that is why it's an upgrade. BTW, they were NOT the Manager, just someone to pass me off on.. It wasnt busy and only had 4 cars in the lot. I simply wanted a professio al person to tell me WHY I'm being charged when I used MY GAS and I even tip at checkout..They dont show you the itemized bill until you've paid ofcourse. This should be posted visibly for customers because I surely could've went to the other Mexican restaurant near the walmart.. POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE AND DISMISSIVE. Never again....”

These items are so delicious and we get full from their decent servings. The shakes are super tasty as well. They have cakes and other specialty items. No indoor seating. All seating is outdoors with ample parking. The staff is courteous and helpful.”

Somehow my order got lost in translation from the check out to the kitchen and when the place was empty and I didn’t see anything cooking, I was worried and I asked one of the ladies (I wish I got her name because she was lovely) about it and she was super apologetic and gave me a credit to apply the next time I go. She even offered to make me a milkshake when I got my order because of the wait, but I declined that as I already got a soda with my meal. I brought my food back home and it was delicious too!
