“❤️‍?? Oh my… goodness!!! This place is a hidden gem in the area. Their portions for the price is honestly a steal! Quality and flavour of the food here is great as well. My coworkers and I discovered this place as our office moved in the area and discovering Mama’s Rice Bowl has blessed our lunchtime ?The only downside is that they close a tad bit earlier than I’d prefer but, it leaves room for us to desire their food all-the-more. Definitely going to add more details when I order from here again!*** Update:Went in person for pickup and the employees are very kind :) They’re located on the inside of their building and there’s no signage on the front of the building that they’re in. The area when you enter and are ordering is quite small but, they do have tables where you can eat your food and “dine in”. “The servers were really helpful and accommodating with our group of 11 people and 2 toddlers. Service was top notch. Food was very tasty and the dessert bar was great. Food is pricy but definitely will recommend and will come back again.“

“This place is amazing. I’ve been here two times and both times they didn’t disappoint, staff were very attentive and accommodating with me and my mother. There are many things and combinations to choose from on the menu. I ordered the triple iron plate with Grilled Squid, 3 Lamb Skewers, and Deep Fried Fish Filet with a Sunny Side-up Egg and noodles (w/ corn, peas and carrots). The Mushroom Tomato sauce compliments the meat and noodles when drizzled on top. It is so0o0o delicious. I also ordered the Assorted Fried Basket A1 (mix of breaded chicken nuggets, Taiwanese sausage, fish cakes, prawn crackers, and green beans). I recommend getting the Brown Garlic Dipping Sauce - it cost $0.75 extra but totally worth it with the basket. I also ordered a Mango Slush with Boba Pearls + Pudding. I would definitely come back again to try other dishes.“

“This is the best Bun Cha Ca that I ever hadI have been to many Pho’s place before around Burnaby. However, this place is the closest to the flavor that I had when I came back to Vietnam. Definitely a place worth trying at least once due to its authenticity!Will come back again soon!“

“The food and the service are really good. The price is very reasonable.Th fried chicken is so yummy and I loved the spicy seafood soup. The portion wa so big that two of us couldn't finish the whole thing.The atmosphere could be better, sme renovations might help a bit but it's not something that will stop me of going there again.I would definitely go there again to have that yummy fried chicken and the spicy noodle soup ?The black beans noodles dish was also delicious. “I got take out from here over the weekend. The wait was longer than stated but still reasonable for a Saturday night. We tried it because Uber constantly has a BOGO deal for their saba aburi (among many other BOGO items) and also we were craving sashimi.The food is okay but definitely not the best sushi out there. I might not even order the aburi again if not for BOGO. But we were absolutely blown away by the portion and price. The bento box A has SO much food: 2pcs prawn tempura, 2pcs yam tempura, teriyaki chicken on rice, 8pcs California roll, salad and miso soup!! And it’s $10.95!! I really don’t know where to find these prices for a meal anymore…I feel like the price is comparable to a fast food meal, maybe even cheaper than recent grocery prices!Overall, everything else was decent and fresh too. So definitely recommend if you’re craving sushi but trying to save $$, just don’t expect anything fancy!TLDR: pretty average sushi place, made up for by the very generous portions and extremely affordable prices“

“Very good, I like the fish tofu special pho and I like the egg noodles it comes with. I wish there is extra noodles option instead of only giving us the option of the bowl size (small medium large). I like that they give us fortune cookies. Barely any people and the building smells very good. Their salad rolls have some of the best presentations“

“Located in Burnaby on Kingsway. Family owned Cantonese restaurant. I was craving a combo for one and this place seemed like a good option. Ordered takeout . Pretty big portions of chow mein, sweet and sour pork with pineapple and some vegetable chop suey. It was pretty good and satisfied my craving, but was just average overall. Will probably try this restaurant again and dine in to see if there’s a difference in taste and quality.“

“As an absolute food crazed individual I have to say Chef Han's restaurant Kosoo + Raw Bar is one of my favourite restaurants, here and abroad, so far. “This review is for the potsticker dumplings and the wonton and BBQ pork fried rice. Coming from Japan and really loving the vibe of the place, my partner seemed to have a found love for the food. She said the potsticker dumplings were some of the best she’s ever had in Vancouver and I would agree. She loved the wonton which I’ve always described as a style of wonton that was the de rigueur before the shrimp wontons came from Hong Kong in the eighties. The old school home made style Cantonese flavours are ever present here in their Chinese food. It’s one of my favourites which is getting harder and harder to find these days. Now if they decide to make that old style Wok hey flavoured minced beef and rice with fried egg. I’ll tell everyone all over again to get that! (But it’s not in the menu). Maybe they’ll add it to the menu? Anyways, I was happy that I introduced a new fan to the Northern Cafe and more happy that I got their special hot sauce! And yes, I do agree that when Yelp said they were number one. They still are!“

“The food here is delicious! Owner and his crew are very friendly and took his time to help me how could I add a review. I made a mistake by myself because I found the bowl not big as I expected but the owner explained that if I paid $1 more I could get as much as I wanted . I had the Braised Beef Noodles and the beef was so fresh and it was delicious! The noodles were cooked to perfection and the broth was flavourful and savoury.Each table doesn’t have the pack of chilly oil, vinegar and soy sauce even though I recommend this restaurant to everyone like asian foods.“

The kanpachi tartlet was one of the highlights for me. I’ve never had kanpachi but it paired beautifully with the shiso and pearl-shaped cucumber. The scallops were light and bright. The pate was the best I’ve had, and I like pate so I’ve tried a lot of it. The pasta with the sea cucumber is unique and well balanced with the tomato paste.The Char Siu steak and truffle potatoes are gorgeous. It’s been a while since I’ve had real truffles and I love how simply they were served. Pairing Char Siu flavours with beef is inspired.The chocolate mousse and tangerine was the perfect “not too sweet” dessert.Service is very attentive without being overbearing. The owner is also very friendly and clearly genuinely cares about patrons having a great meal.One thing to note is that the portions aren’t tasting sized. The first two courses were, the rest are appetizer sized except for the main, which is entree sized. Next time, I’ll book the 5:30 time slot and skip lunch so I can thoroughly enjoy each course without worrying about being too full.I’m also excited to try the late night menu at some point.“

“Their food is very favourable, freshly made on demand. We ordered online through the website, and the food was delivered fresh and arrived well before the delivery window ended. No soggy over, sauced or small pieces of ingredients, just fresh, tasty and voluminous.  Each picture was taken of the meals after two large servings had been enjoyed. If I estimate 6 to 8 servings, it's between 15 and 20 dollars a person, including delivery and tip! A good value for freshness. I think there are at least 4, maybe six servings. (We bought two ginger beefs, with one of each of the rest) 5 Stars for flavour, freshness and food for value.
