“Great experience at this Freshslice Pizza store with a staff named, Bhumi. She is excellent with customer service. I was greeted with a Great smile as soon as I entered in the store. I was just looking for 2 slices, but she told me about the Special deals going on and I ended up getting a whole Pizza for me and my family for the dinner.

We ordered
1 x Mentaiko Cream Udon (our most favorite, very creamy and delicious)
2 x House special rolls
2 x Takoyaki
1 x Spicy crispy roll

Everything came down to $80 for 3 people and we were even able to pack leftovers. The staffs are kind and the foods are terrific!! 10/10“

“La Forchetta is a neighborhood gem in North Burnaby Capitol Hill area. Their pasta and sauce are house made from scratch. We have tried a few different pasta dish and they are excellent. The texture of the pasta is on point! Owner is very friendly, helpful and chatty. A decent size restaurant that looks clean and sit comfortably. If I ever crave for pasta, I would go to them in a heartbeat. Skip Trattoria, Anton’s and other chain restaurants, do yourself a favor and give them a try.“

“First time trying Gokudo Shabu Shabu in Burnaby and overall it was a great experience. The service was amazing — very attentive and quick. At one point I ran out of sauce and the server immediately noticed and offered more without me even asking.

We ordered the lunch special combo for two ($39.99), which includes two soups, two meats, two sides, two drinks, and dessert. For soups, we chose the preserved duck egg with cilantro and the Malaysian laksa. For meats, we went with two orders of fatty short plate. We upgraded our sides for $1 each and got ground pork on rice. Drinks were milk tea (drink of the day).

The laksa soup was very flavorful, while the duck egg cilantro soup was a bit light and watery and could have used more depth. The ground pork rice was really tasty and came with mushrooms, which was a nice touch.

For dessert, they only had pistachio Melona available, which unfortunately wasn’t my favourite.

“Wonderful place to get sushi and favourite dishes like how they serve them in Japan. The assorted sushi option is a very good deal for the variety and quality of the fish. Incredible variety and each piece is intentionally plated and assembled with care. Plus it’s clear that it’s well prepared by the chef. Bluefin negitoro was a bit too fishy for me, but some may enjoy that flavour. I believe it was too close to the bloodline. Highlights were the shishito tempura and beef tataki. In fact, the tataki was the best I’ve ever had in my life! Their tempura is so light and fresh, that we ordered multiple plates of the shishito peppers. The plates used are absolutely beautiful and it’s clear that presentation and integrity are core values here.

They had so many unique items like shirako and several unique fish from Japan. I do wish they used real wasabi, as the nigiri was a touch too heavy handed for my taste. Absolutely recommend for those looking for something more traditional and elegant.“

“We loved the food everything was great: the music, the atmosphere, and the airy environment. We also got to sit at the bar area and watch the chef making sushi, which was a really nice experience.

The only thing I found a bit salty was the soy sauce. If it could be made a little less salty, it would be wonderful.

“Made it in time for Happy hour last night and it feels like I ripped them off as I had a meal and a drink and my bill came up to 25 bucks. Oh I ordered the cauliflower bites and the avocado roll. “With a rich tonkotsu broth base, the chashu ramen is balanced and has smoky and tender sealed pork slices, while medium firm noodles give a nice texture to the bowl.
Takana and cucumber side salad is refreshing and the horin gyozas are crispy and juicy.

Anticipating the cherry blossom season in town, there are now two menu features: the cooling and tasty Sakura float, and the Sakura matcha affogato with a subtle vanilla ice cream balanced by the concentrated and savory matcha on top.

Good service and beautifully presented food.
Only walk-ins and there's always a line outside of the restaurant however the wait is worth it.
The vibe is nice and quiet for family & friends.
