“If I could give Galbi Korean BBQ 6 stars, I would.

From the moment we arrived, the staff were incredibly kind and welcoming. We went on a Sunday night and expected a wait, it was about 45 minutes but absolutely worth it. We ordered the Chef’s BBQ Combo D, and it was more than enough for all of us to leave completely full. They continuously refilled our sides and sauces, so we were never without anything. Everything felt clean, organized, and really well run.

My personal favourites were the marinated beef short rib, the fresh salad, bean paste soup, scallion salad, and the cheesy corn — all so flavourful and perfectly done.

This is hands down one of the best spots to come with your partner or a group, where you can relax, cook together, and actually enjoy the experience as much as the food. We’ll 100% be coming back. 🔥🥩“

“Came to visit and we ordered three drinks in total. We were helped by a very kind and accommodating employee named Leo. We asked many questions about the menu which he answered patiently and informatively. He even allowed us to sample some of the tea before we purchased our bubble tea's. Get their ‘special’ menu items, it’s genuinely a big cut above standard phó/vermicelli. Had number 37, I’m gonna come back and get it every time (I’m that kind of person). The portion wasn’t big but the amount of meat was generous for the size and the flavour was excellent. Well balanced and spiced and will plenty of veggies to put in as well as garlic and thai chillies on the side. Not greasy, not too salty.
It’s chill in here, I like the decor and the staff are friendly. They give you a good sized pot of tea and in general aren’t going to check up much but that’s okay with me.“

“I've been coming here for years and it is my favourite dessert place without feeling too guilty about it! Staff are always kind, fast, and efficient. Even when the mall is about to close, they would still take your order and deliver it fast. Love love love this place!“

“This restaurant is not fancy or anything, but the food service and cleanliness of the place was very good .
We went there several months ago and everybody left satisfied .
there is parking around the areas and back as well on the street as for the handicap i never even paid attention too it.

“Small victory never disappoints. The store smells just as delicious as the drinks taste. I usually get a coffee, but today I decided to get a matcha, and I definitely will get it again. The matcha is bright green and tastes heavenly. The coffee is also good, and you can see the baristas making the fresh espresso in front of you. The pastries look amazing, even though I have not tried them yet. If you haven't gone, there is lots to do in the area, as it is right in the middle of Brentwood Mall.

If you are looking to study or do work here, I do not recommend it, but it is a good cafe to sit for a drink and chat.“

“Top tier semi hidden bar! It's a bit of a time capsule to an older-Van style, unpretentious sports-bar roadhouse type place. The location is unusual, sort of at the basement of an apartment complex on a road you've never been to before, situated on an urban residential cul-de-sac, giving the bar a sheen of surreality.

With many pool tables, lots of tables, two big screens for 2 different games to watch, and good prices for beer, I'd be here all the time if it was local to me.

Special mention for the food: had the chef's special lasanga last night and it was so good ordered a second dinner to try!

“While there’s a lot to like about this Starbs, this morning they were pumping Toxic by Britney Spears and while I agree it’s a hot jam, 5am is not the time for Queen B. I used to take my book with me in the morning with the hope that I could do some reading, but sadly who’s ever choosing the music is still in clubbing mode from the night before on most mornings which doesn’t really set the mood. Missing the old jazz and indie playlists in general from Starbs which were incredibly curated and surprisingly erudite.“

“I wouldnt give this location a bad review but we placed an order and they promised that we will get it 30 - 40 mins and after 55 mins we called and they said driver just took it and actually we are 2 mins away drive so I was on the phone with them for 5 mins and no driver called or showed up :(“

Overall, they’re just okay — not bad, but not great either. The Chinese donut isn’t the traditional Cantonese style; it’s more like a piece of fried bread, so I wouldn’t recommend it.

The egg and minced beef congee, however, is smooth, tasty, and well-balanced in flavor. It’s definitely the highlight of the meal and worth a try. Prices are quite reasonable, making it a decent spot to stop by for a comforting bowl of congee.“

“DO NOT COME HERE unless you want to support a cheap company. I work for Door Dash and just finished completing a merchant order from there. I carried 10 heavy boxes of spring rolls to their store on L2 Brentwood Mall. $200 worth of food and $0 tips from them. This is a disgrace and I will never take an order from Will H again at this store. If I can go lower than 1 star I would but Google forces me to give 1. Embarrassing to have restaurants like these exist.“

“My go to Chinese restaurant in Burnaby.

Have been there for dim sum lunches and everything is fantastic from the ha gow, chicken feet to their rice bowls.

But it's there dinner menu that really shines.
I highly recommend:
Lobster and Glutinous Rice steamed in leaves
Crab and Fish Maw Soup (Thick and Juicy)
Pea Tips (Glistening from the wok)
Baked Custard Pudding (for Dessert; must be ordered in advance .. but it's to die for!)

“I just ordered a 3 piece meal and received 2 drumsticks and a thigh (brutal). One piece was fine the other 2 were cold and had been sitting awhile. The fries were the worst I've had, they were under heat lamp I'm sure for at least a couple of hours they tasted like day old French fries. this was the Maple Ridge location which just opened, so maybe they were working out the kinks.“

“Popular Coffee fix. Many are addicted to Starbucks globally! Sugar , caffeine ☕️ java beverage. Located in Burnaby Metrotown. Pay attention to your sugar intake if you are diabetic or pre-diabetic. If you have long covid with brain fog issues, no caffeine after 5 pm. Try decaffeinated instead but be aware you are trading issues as decaffeinated has another issue. Look it up in your own internet search. Can be crazy busy!“

“The food was great, yes if you are not into soup 🍲 why even go ... But I do like soup and with the choices it is done very well.

They use a gelatin fuel source that easily boiled the soup and even after an hour it is still going (no fuel smell)

I recommend going one level hotter then you like, me max level, because after they add more water it waters down the spice.

“Although... I just do not understand new menue, Church's is consistent. I used to enjoy few peaces of legs and thighs with fries, and they are still able to produce it, so no real complains.. Hope they stay original, as it seams bit dumb to me to invent new fried chicken..
After few years now... I do not understand the pace of dough that they make you buy in the combo. Its just not very tasty, its actually terible it tastes like glue. I always throw it away. It would be better to get more fries.“
