“First time trying this hidden gem. I can’t believe I knew never knew about this place earlier.
Everything was unbelievably amazing. You can go ahead and bring your non-vegan friends, cause they will be fooled by the meats, cause it taste like the real thing.

We did a very big takeout order for 2.. about10 dishes because we want to try as many as possible. Big shout out to Darryl and his mom for staying late for our bigger order and throughout the chaos they forgot the bao buns so when I called, he was gracious enough to come drive out and deliver it for us w some extra treats.

If you’ve never tried this place do yourself a favour and try it immediately. You will not be disappointed. Heads up tomorrow’s the last day operating.. they’re going on vacation for two weeks.!!!“

“First time trying Gokudo Shabu Shabu in Burnaby and overall it was a great experience. The service was amazing — very attentive and quick. At one point I ran out of sauce and the server immediately noticed and offered more without me even asking.

We ordered the lunch special combo for two ($39.99), which includes two soups, two meats, two sides, two drinks, and dessert. For soups, we chose the preserved duck egg with cilantro and the Malaysian laksa. For meats, we went with two orders of fatty short plate. We upgraded our sides for $1 each and got ground pork on rice. Drinks were milk tea (drink of the day).

The laksa soup was very flavorful, while the duck egg cilantro soup was a bit light and watery and could have used more depth. The ground pork rice was really tasty and came with mushrooms, which was a nice touch.

For dessert, they only had pistachio Melona available, which unfortunately wasn’t my favourite.

The one less star for Food is due to the few occasions where the rice was either over-hydrated or under-hydrated. Other than that it is a good place to have lunch at. “We’ve been back several times in a short period after discovering this restaurant, and every single dish we tried was amazing! We had the kimbap dishes, spicy pork, jjamppong, and soondubu stew. Unfortunately I forgot to take photos of my food, but everything was seriously so delicious 😭 The quality honestly tasted just like the food I used to have in Korea.

I even brought my family here, and since some of my family members are vegan, choosing restaurants can sometimes be a bit limiting. But this place had so many vegan options to choose from, and everyone ended up loving their meal. I felt so happy and proud that I brought them here!

Sadly the only photos I have are of the vegan dishes, but we will 10000% be coming back again. Also, their kkakdugi and garlic stem side dishes are SO good. Perfect with a bowl of white rice!!“

“Overall decent bahn mi, I got tofu and veg. The tofu couldnt have been any less seasoned. I'd imagine it came straight from the pack and sliced and put on. The rest of the sandwich was ok, veg was fresh and good so this saved the plain tofu.

“This place is always very busy, and it's well justified. If you can forgive the lack of parking spaces, it is worth any walk in the rain. The fine flakes of ice melted on my tongue and the ube flavour was a perfect flavour and sweetness. I greatly appreciated that I could choose my preferred sugar level. I also had try the chocolate flavour in the same visit, and was delighted by that one as well. I highly recommend checking out this place! Ramen egg is perfect, chasu is flavourful, kaarage was mediocre, and the ramen noodles cooked well.

They were playing a list of anime openings the last time I was there.

“Came here one evening after hearing about this place from a coworker. Walking in there, the atmosphere was nice & the stag was very friendly! We got our food after about 3 minutes of waiting.

I got the Deep Fried California Roll with extra sauce. The exterior was crispy & the taste was alright. Honestly it was about as good as “Mall Sushi” can get, so I was happy with it, but don’t expect this to blow you away. The sauce added a nice element as well & was tasty!

Overall, I’d give Togo Sushi a 7.8/10. Not sure if I’d go back, or if I’d trust anything else here, but it was about as good as I expected.“
