“We ate at this place several times over the course of five days during our trip to Vancouver, and we were really happy with it. The food was always well-prepared and delicious. Everything looked fresh and nicely presented. The prices were very reasonable, which was a pleasant surprise, especially considering the quality.

The service was consistently good, and the atmosphere was bright, clean, and welcoming — clearly recently renovated. The bathrooms were also clean and well-maintained, which we appreciated.

One of our favorite things was how convenient everything was: you can help yourself to as much soy sauce as you need, refill your water on your own, and just feel comfortable. And don’t even get me started on the ice cream — absolutely delicious!

All in all, we were very satisfied with this place. It’s honestly a bit sad to be leaving Vancouver and not having it nearby anymore!“

The one caution I have is that for their noodle dishes like vermicelli and noodle soup, is that they fill the bottom of the bowl with bean sprouts so you get less noodles and make it look like it's bigger than it is.“

Love their no-msg pho, grilled pork and chicken, stewed beef, etc. Their special homemade off-menu items always surprise me… seafood pho, chicken pho, shrimp dumplings, seafood spring rolls, etc. Got a chance to try their crab soup noodles today and it was amazingly tasty. It came with two huge crab cakes which were made with real crab meats and seasoned with dried shrimps. It was definitely the best crab soup noodles in town!“

“Great location just right by New Westminster station - accessible especially when you want a delish banh mi and viet coffee! It was my first time having Viet coffee with them and it was so good! Strong coffee taste with creamy condense milk, yet, the bitter and sweet blended harmoniously and I couldn’t hope buy finish the iced Viet coffee within minutes. It was indulgent but not overly sweet. I’d come back again for the coffee. The vegan chicken banh mi was freshly prepared and super tasty! Highly recommended for a delicious quick grab!“

“Had Bun Rieu (Crab broth with noodles, shrimp, tomato, tofu, sliced ham and pork) and you can add herbs (bean sprouts, basil, perilla leaves, limes). Loved it so much that we came back 6 days later. Also had fried prawns with peppery salt which which was delicious.“

“I've been coming here for about 10 years and I've never been disappointed. Their 3 meat on rice with an egg is my always go to dish but you can't go wrong with anything you order here. The staff are so friendly and welcoming, they make you feel like family. It's a family run and owned business that serves up authentic Vietnamese cuisine. Must try place that is also on doordash.

Parking: there is a parking lot and direct access from the back as well as being surround by residential streets and Victoria. Sometimes you have you park a bit further into residential but the walk isn't that bad.

Kid-friendliness: friendly staff that can accommodate children.“

“Five stars and my new favorite pho spot! As someone who loves pho and grew up with my mom's amazing cooking, Pho Zen has exceeded all my expectations. I've now tried the special spicy pho, and it was absolutely fantastic. The broth had incredible depth and flavor. I've also had their rice dish with pork and chicken, and seriously, the rice itself was so flavourful on its own. The banh mi was so good too. I highly recommend this place. “Ordered a signature banh mi, and it was decent. Good for grab-and-go.
The person who made the sandwiches was also taking orders and touched the food, screen, and POS machine with the same gloves （or maybe I didn’t notice when she changed gloves). This probably happens at other small cafes, sandwich shops, and fast-food restaurants. It doesn’t bother me as much, but it is definitely something worth improving.“

“I haven’t tried Vietnamese street foods before, but this restaurant offers many different types. Beef bone marrow is something I haven’t tried before, but today I did.
Seating is something to be commended: very roomy. Not like some restaurants that are packed like sardines.
Parking on Kingsway is a challenge at times. I have to park at the nearby Norquay Park.“

“I’ve usually had Southern Vietnamese pho in the past, and while this isn’t my first time trying Northern-style pho, this visit left the strongest impression so far. It really elevated how I see Northern pho. The broth was fresh and light, and you can actually taste the different vegetables and herbs—it’s unique and very refreshing. It doesn’t even need chili or hoisin sauce to enhance the flavor.

The restaurant itself is small and simply decorated, but it feels authentic and cozy. Most of the customers looked like local neighbors stopping by, which gave it a very genuine, community feel.“

“What a great hidden gem inside an office building near Royal Columbian Area. The Banh MI bun was the best I've had by far also the portion is quite big. I ordered a spicy lemon grass chicken banh mi, chicken was perfectly flavored, veggies are fresh with also the picked mix, the spice is perfect not lingering but achieved by what seemed like a perfectly placed amount of pepper or a spice pepper blend? Also perhaps the owners/staff were really friendly, with fast service. I would definitely recommend people give it a try great bahn mi, would definitely come back again just for it. Vietnamese coffee is good too, just too sweet for my palate.“

“Been coming here consistently since they opened. A few years back they stopped taking down the orders and try to memorize it. Since then, approximately half my orders have been wrong when I eat in. Food is still good, but there is a fair chance something in your order will be missed or wrong if you dine in.
